  1. Gateway is impossible to deal with. I have a Gateway A6750 laptop. I go to the website, and try to get in touch with customer service, and I am required to “find my model” The problem is, my model is not listed on their website, once I get to the 6700 series, it is jumped right over. I try to call, and get a foreign support site, and could not understand the individual on the end of the line. He required an “ISA” number, yet every number located on the back of my unit was not satisfactory. He could not help me with the model number alone and would not put me though to a tech who could attempt to help.

    My problem was that this particular model has an issue with metal clips coming off where molded onto the interior of the case, then moving around, and shorting out the unit. My question was simple, after removing the clips, I was unsure as to how the leads from the WiFi antenna connected to the WiFi adapter, as my leads were a different color than the ones on the U-tube video showing how to disassemble the case. (three leads coming from the screen, but only two are used, white, black, and grey. On the video, white and grey were used, on mine, grey is cut off, never attached, only the white and black were used, but I have three points on the adapter which could be used.

    Apparently, this model A 6750 has issues with metal clips coming off internally, and shorting the motherboard, and Gateway seems to want to pretend it does not exist.

    Apparently, with Gateway, once you are out of warranty, you are on your own,unless you are willing to pay, regardless of the cause of the issue, even if a defective design.

  2. I PURCHASED A GATEWAY LAPTOP COMPUTER 2007 MODULE ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO. MY SETUP GUIDE HAS THIS NO. AT THE BACK, “MAN TRITON/TEMP POSTER RO 04/07 8512319 AND 8 27103 13325 7”. MY LAPTOP HAS BEEN STOLEN AND I DO NOT REMEMBER THE SERIAL NO. PLEASE I WOULD BE GLAD IF YOU COULD HELP ME WITH THE SERIAL NO.

  3. CANT FIND A RELIABLE CONTACT SOLUTION. REFUSE TO SPEND ANY MORE THAN STANDARD BUSINESS WAIT TIME WITH NON-EXISTANT SUPPORT. WISH I WOULD HAVE DONE RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING. WISH THE SELLER HAD HAD INFORMATION. THEY OF COURSE, GLAD TO HAVE IT OFF THEIR HANDS. I AM GOING TO CONTACT BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. WE WILL SEE HOW THEY RESPOND. IF ANYONE CAN ACTUALLY FIND THE OWNER OF THIS COMPANY, LET ME KNOW; I HAVE SEVERAL THINGS TO DISCUSS…
