  1. I have a fairly new acoustic Ibanez. The problem is… the bridge is separating and I dont how to get ahold of custer service or what their guarantee is,,it was a present and I love Ibanez but what the heck? The bridge has separated and has risen more that 1/4 of an inch. Please Help!!!!!

  2. I just ordered the Ibanez AE2412 electric acoustic from Sweetwater and they notified me that this guitar wasn’t in stock yet. I’m wondering if you can give me a time frame of when this guitar will be available to ship to me.It sounds like Ibanez only makes them a certain time of year. I would appreciate any info that you could send my way. Thanks!

  3. I play an Ibanez Bass Guitar and I would love to advertise the Ibanez brand. The only baseball cap you have with the Ibanez name on it is black and it is an older person’s type of cap. I would like to see the Ibanez brand name on more modern baseball caps (without the high, stiff front) and on “golf” type hats as pictured in attachment. The logo on the baseball caps would go in front just like those you already have but I think a smaller print version on the back of the “golf” type hat would look great. That is what a whole lot of players wear. It would be great advertising. I thought I could have the logo embroidered on a few of my hats but embroiderers will not do it because it is a registered trademark name. I believe you would sell a whole lot more hats if there was a selection of types of hats and colors. Just an opinion.

  4. I have an Ibanez R460 Ragtime Special(1981c).I have owned this fantastic guitar since new. I never had a case for this guitar.I would be gratefull if anyone can tell me where I could get a custom case for this guitar,or provide me with the dimensions of this guitar ,then I can have one made.

  5. I have a very rare 2000 S470 that is red, white and blue marked as U.S.S.A. with the letters KMFDM on one of the lower red stripes. At first look,it appears to be an American flag guitar, but upon closer examination it is obviously a soviet socialist type finish. The blue flag area which normally would be white stars has the hammer and sicle and stars.I’m certain that this might be a one run guitar and I am interested if you might want this guitar back.It is in pristine condition and has only been played a few times. No scratches or marks of any kind.At least can you give me more information about this unusual guitar made in Korea. Serial number is C 00020208 Thanks,SteveO.

  6. Hello

I just purchased an Ibanez SA electric guitar. I believe it has a “floating Tremolo Bridge.” Can I remove all of the strings to re-string it and clean the fretboard, or will that knock the neck or bridge springs out of whack? Or do I have to remove and replace them one at a time? Also, what is the correct Tremolo bar for this guitar?

    Thank You Very Much

  8. what is the model number or series for my used bass guitar serial number W822837 IS ALL THAT IS ON THE 4 STRING RED BASS GUITAR WITH A BTB ON TOP? THANKS

  9. I bought a Ibenez DE7 Stomp box not so long ago and it being made of plastic after 6 months or so the piece under the pedal you would step on broke which as made it worthless. Would you fix or would you say too bad man, you know how thing break? But I’m not hard on my equipment I don’t play live, its on carpet and it still broke. So what does this tell you at Ibanez to the customers? Don’t buy the DE7 Delay stomp box or we fix what screws up? What do you say so the people can watch. Is it in warranty, I don’t know. But I do know I only used it about 10 times but I thought Ibanez… I bet they will say bite the bullet its out of warranty but its only been used at home 10 times, well on to the next Ibanez product. I was at this trade day that ran from Alabama to well up North and this man had this muti effects floor pod thing, wait it gets better, and it turned out to be a Ibanez ECC83/12×7 PUE5 5 pedal GOLD multi effects pod. I say pod because I have a pod xt and don’t know what you would call it. Got it pretty cheap and I needed it because my POD XT needs to be Reflashed, I had this for 10 years and I’m tired of it and it would probably cost an arm to have this done. But back to this Gold Ibanez muti effects thing. I read on the web how people love theirs but the delay doesn’t work, go figure, I put a new tube in it and it plays much better but need some work, do you do this? I know this is out of warranty its got to be 20 years old or more. Just wondering if you work on them because I don’t know who to carry it to. Thank You

  11. Hi, I just purchased a dream of a banjo: an Ibanez Artist Banjo from the 1970’s. Now my question is: what year is it from? The serial number is B787590. I would be great if you’d let me know! Thanks! Iggy, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

  12. I’m a 63 year old cancer survivor on a disabilty retirement income. My older brother passed away and I was given his 2002 Ibanez AR-10 CE. The lower strings are so high I wanted to purchase a replacement bridge compensating saddle and try and file it down to make the guitar playable. I called your Tech and he said the Part #5ASD01E costs $1.00 but shipping cost is 10.00 +. Can’t you put this in an envelope and mail it ? Help !

  13. I have a top of the Line Artwood Acoustic Ibanez guitar that I let someone play at a gig and he droped it and it has on the top layer of what appears to be a thin layer of plastic that was shattered about the size of a quarter. What to do? The wood was not damaged.

  14. Uhm i have warranty on my guitar and i want to another one

  15. I recently got a chance to play the Ibanez FR 365, I fell in love with this guitar. It plays and frets as well as my Fender Telecaster. The problem is that I cant find one. All of the distributors that i deal with are telling me that it is discontinued. What a shame. The reviews that i have come across for this guitar have been excellent. The same goes for the FR 365-TBF, also discontinued. If there is anybody that could help me achieve a purchase that is reasonable, it would greatly be appreciated.

  16. I recently purchased a Ibanez MS510 A-Style Mandolin. I am having problems in setting up this instrument. The G string THUNKS and buzzes and the E string buzzes. I tried raising the bridge but this didn’t seem to help. Also I have no idea if the bridge is in the right place. I would think when you buy a quality instrument it would come set up. Please advise on this. Thank you.

  17. First, it is important to know that I am not a hater nor do I have any prejudices against any guitars. I personally own a PRS, Gibson, EVH Wolfgang, EVH Striped series, ESP, and the Ibanez JS24P. Although this was not the high end Japanese model, it still was pricey enough to cost me over $1,500 after taxes brand new. Keep in mind at the time I was a novice and did not know much about guitars. At that time I bought them based on endorsements from some of my guitar heroes. Studying everything I could about Joe Satriani, I knew there was no way he would endorse something that was crap. I was wrong in a big way. The day after I purchased it I took it home and immediately saw that the high E string kept getting stuck under the 3rd, 4th 6th and 8th Fret. I took it to a guitar tech close to my work and learned that 8 frets were popping up and needed to be glued down.

I know the smart thing to do was take it back to Sam Ash but again, I was a novice at this guitar stuff and being as the Hollywood Sam Ash was a bit of a drive, I felt it would be easier to have the guitar tech glue the frets back in place. After I received it back, the frets were fine and I started to play it. Right away I noted that the B string was off, no matter how I tuned it. Thinking it was just me, I let it pass. I then noticed that the neck was crooked and more frets were popping up. After about 4 months I took it to a highly recommended tech here in Glendale, CA. First, the Ibanez Edge (Their style of the Floyd Rose) was defective at the B string and needed to have something done to it to raise the string level. Once that bomb was dropped, the teck dropped the second bomb, stating the neck bolts had been stripped and someone at the factory simply shoved wood in and screwed them back on. Two of the screws were loose and just sat there. This guitar was never out of my sight, even when the first tech worked on it I was right there watching. If that was not bad enough, I learned there were 6 other frets raised that needed to be glued down. Once all of the work was done, to include the first repair, I put another grand into it.

I now there are those out there who say you get what you pay for and my answer to them is you clearly don’t. I paid the same for my Gibson Les Paul, less on my Wolfgang, only half on my ESP/LTD Elite Series and just a small amount more on my PRS S-2. All of these were out of the box perfect. I have guitars from USA, Korea, and Japan. No issues whatsoever. I also know there are those that will say that one bad guitar does not spoil the brand. That I will agree with to an extent. Frets do come unglued due to weather and shipping, but 18 out of 24? Really??

I am hoping that those who read this post garner from it what was meant. Really take the time to inspect your guitar from top to bottom and do take advantage of stores 30 day policy. I personally will not buy an Ibanez again.

  18. I just got an Ibanez acoustic guitar model number PF5 N, serial number 92119112. I am trying to find out any information about this guitar. I would love to learn it’s history. I see that it was made in Korea. Thank you.
