  1. IR stands for Irresponsive Rummys. You can’t get them on the phone, you can’t get product, you can’t get help after the sale. Avoid if at all possible.

  2. I get this, “Thank you for calling Ingersoll Rand. Please leave a message after the tone…… *Dial tone as it disconnects*”

    I don’t think they really care about us after the sale.

  3. We purchased a Biometric hand reader through a dealer in Leeds/Doncaster. We paid upfront for it, and after 13 months the re-seller/dealer has failed to deliver the hand reader to our Company: We requested a refund – he told us that the reader developed a fault and was with Ingersol Rand – he apologised and advised he would refund. Many unanswered telephone calls and irrate emails later – he is now asking for a purchase order before he refunds. I have told him that I have complained to IR. He text me back saying he will speak to ‘his friends at IR when he puts through his £28K order on Monday’

    Reading between the lines – this particular re-seller is saying they will not be interested in our issue with him as he is putting through a large order with them.


    This behaviour is totally unacceptable
