  1. I hate Lucille Roberts they are a rip off and try to give you a hard time when you cancel your membership. Their facilities are not clean. I will never go back there.

  3. it is true the customer service is horrible. They do not tell you they take out 15.00 twice a year for matenience of course you find out when you look at your statement . I had to give up my membership because of health . March was my last payment. they take it out in September and March. I am angry I would have cancelled the month before and they would still find another way to steel money. I called and the girl was ignorant. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE

  4. I WOULD CALL BBB AND GO TO THE NEWS STATIONS FOR HELP. I’M TRYING TO CANCEL MYSELF AND IT’S NOT LETTING ME. THEY ARE QUICK TO TAKE YOUR INFO TO JOIN BUT WHEN YOU NEED TO CANCEL NO ONE IS AROUND TO HELP.

  6. Customer Serivce is horrible. They are only available from 9-12pm and then 2-4pm on certain days of the week,. They always have billing problems. The website isnt much better either. I had to call to get my membership cancelled. Make sure you canel all memberships because once it expired and you decide to continue they creat a new one under a different member number so you have to cancel them individually.

  7. It’s sad that they spending all that money on advertising, and there is bad service. It’s very easy to sign up, But when you don’t want to go, You only have to cancel on the computer you can’t use human service. Also the people at the desk only tell you, To go on the internet to cancel membership which is hard .

Worst customer service ever, I just signed up for the gym in flushing, and nobody told me that I could not have a carry on bag with me in the gym, earlier tonight I was on the elliptical trainer for a fitness routine, and 10 mins away from finishing it, my heartbeat was up to160 and a staff came around to tell me to get off the trainer right away to put my back in the locker, I told her I’m almost done, she was not happy with it, and few mins later she came around and said the lady right in front me put her bqg away right after she told her and it’s not fair for me be on th trainer few extra more mins, and was giving me attitude !I’m so so disgusted! Can someone please tell me where I can file a complaint?

  9. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER CARE. VERY FRUSTRATING TO JUST CANCEL A MEMBERSHIP. THEY ARE HAPPY TO NOTIFY YOU OWE MONEY,,,BUT NEVER A CALL OR NOTE TO SAY…”HEY YOU”RE NOT COMING IN…”TO CANCEL IS JUST HORRIBLE. NEVER AGAIN. WILL NOT HAVE NOT ONE GOOD WORD. MY KNEE WAS HURT DURING A WORKOUT. INSTRUCTORS WERE GOING SO FAST I COULD NOT KEEP UP. DESPITE ME TELLING HER I HAVE A BAD KNEE. SHE SAID “JUST TRY TO KEEP UP”.

    IM DISGUSTED. I CAN’T CONTACT ANYONE AT THE HEAD QUARTERS OFFICE AT 212 #. DEFINITELY WILL REPORT TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU WITH A —AAA MINUS TRIPKE A. yes they want email to know is reporting. Would love to hear from the owner. customer service is so important…and company’s is POOR!!!!!!!

  10. I recently signed up for a pre-paid one year membership at the Forest Hills NY locations as gift for someone via one of the most painful process ever. After reviewing the fees on their WEB site, i decided to personally visit the Forest Hills, NY location to purchase my membership gift. This process took almost two hour due to a major price difference on what the sales agent wanted to charge versus what was quoted online. The sales agent could not explain the price disparity. I kept insisting but she refused. At this point, I insisted on speaking to a manager, but that went nowhere fast. Being that this was a Christmas Gift, I went along with the purchase and told by the sales person that I have two weeks to cancel without a penalty.

    I am now trying to cancel the membership due to the member’s work conflict and travel schedule and so far have not been able to do so. The contract period is from January 16, 2016 to January of 2017. I have made several phone calls to the customer service number provided and was told that they do not offer cancellation for pre-paid membership.

    I am now stuck with a costly one year membership that no one can use. I will continue to try and get this resolved and take a penalty if necessary, but I can’t seem to find anyone that can help. Your WEB site does not offer helpful answers and their customer support is rude and not very helpful.

  12. This is the worst gym ever FOR 3 YEARS they were taken money from my account they thewy said they were going to reinburse it took over 2 months to get that money back. these club are thiefs

  15. I’ve been trying to cancel my membership for about a year now. How can I cancel. I went to my LR Myrtle Ave and they told me to do it online. I don’t see how I can do it online when I joined I joined in person. Please help.

  16. they closed off the gym in my area but still taking fees from my account and I was never informed about closing off the gym.The guy I spoke got an attitude and they refuse to refund me my money back.

  18. I was received a letter on May 26th that they were closing the gym at East Gun Hill Road. I decided to cancel because there was not another gym closed by. I made several calls to cancel my membership, but I could not find a person to speak with. I had my charge card to stop paying them, but I get messages every day saying that I need to pay.

    I am going to write to the New York State Attorney General’s Office on Monday, August 31 and file to have this company investigated because I cannot contact anyone.

  19. I just joined the FIT club in M.P. on Long Island and am not a happy camper. I found most of the classes to have self-serving trainers, they do not leave the platform to correct position.With the rare exception of 1 or 2 non seemed professionals. And their classes are not geared toward working women as they do not have EARLY classes – Even though they have a Hugh client base this club is run like a crap. I was taking a shower the curtain was as thin as tissue – it is just a liner very flimsy. As I adjusted the “curtain” the shower rod fell on my head. I wear Big Girl panties and I’m not a sue happy person. After I got dressed and went to the counter to mention about the incident and the woman who was there demanded that I fill out an incident report, but I had to wait because a large crowd of members were arriving. I told her I’ll do the report tomorrow and she glared at me and sternly said I had to do that day ! I walked out as she kept insisting. The next day I reported it. The next time I went – I wanted to use the sauna, much to my surprise all the women were dressed including FOOTWARE – they totally destroyed the wood of what was I’m sure a beautiful sauna. I called the M.P. location and wanted to cancel I was directed to their website. I’m done – I’m willing to PAY DOUBLE for a better run club. I called the 212 734.9717 explained everything and am HAPPY to say I’m getting a refund and they cancelled my membership effective today.

  20. I too am trying to cancel a membership. The staff at the gym say, “you have to do it online”. I can’t figure out how to do it online, they do not make it obvious or easy. No one at customer service or headquarters will answer my calls. I am transferred to a recorded message and then disconnected.

  21. My membership has been expired for two years and still they have been charging me every month from my bank account. And it’s not fair because my contract has already been expired. I keep trying to call customer service but nobody answers and it’s a ripoff. I am very mad with their very poor service and which I haven’t even gone to the gym in the past 2 years.

  22. Hey been a.member of Lucille Roberts for 6 years. My question is why no new machines in myrtle ave ridgewood location. Mean while other location have new stuff. They took out machines but don’t replace .they need to update all machines, like bikes,etc.thank

  23. Bohemia Lucille Roberts displays so much inappropriate and illegal practices that it is ALARMING!

    First, facility offers old lockers, old equipment, horrible paper thin toilet paper, uneven aerobic room floor etc…

    Manager allows herself to be rude and unwilling to professionally listen to ideas and or concerns. A manager who allows for a babysitter to potty train her daughter in the babysitting room…Board of Health Issue because there is no bathroom in the babysitting room!!!! Babysitting room is a mess no structure just toys everywhere …not enough to have only one person in there with such a wide array of ages where kids are hurt constantly or bullied by even the babysitter’s daughter. Babysitter needs to arrange proper care for her daughter at home until she is potty trained and doesn’t beat up on kids. Imagine if you don’t see it happen a parent will never know her child is being bullied. No proper communication. Place is a JOKE!!
