  1. Purchased a washer and dryer combo a month ago and had called Maytag immediately saying that the washer had ripped my shirts. Asked for a repairman to come and take a look. Never heard from customer service.

    I wrote a letter to Maytag Corp. office informing them of my issues. Again no response. Wrote to the BBB of my issues of never hearing back from Maytag. One day without notice a repairman showed up to observe what the washer was doing to my clothes. He mentioned that ne knows nothing about Maytag products as he is employed by Whirlpool. After some six additional calls to the corp. office I have still not heard back on my issues.

    The washer and dryer are junk! I cannot nor will I ever recommend Maytag products. Where is the customer service? He is on TV and doesn’t have time to service any of Maytag’s products.

    The referenced dishwasher was delivered on 7/1/2017 at 3 hours and forty-five minutes into the 4 hour wait window of from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. It did not work following installation. They kept the dishwasher 110 cord Part M936 telling me I would have to go to the store for a refund for the unused part and left. Both cycles of the dishwasher were used in an attempt to wash dishes. The surface of dishes remained unwashed. A call to the Maytag Warranty Center at 1-800 688-9900 produced a visit from Direct Appliance 254 776-5555 on 7/6/2017. Ken, from that service, arrived after a wait time of 2 hours and 40 minutes. In an approximately 10 to 15 minute service call he determined that the inlet valve was not functioning on the dishwasher. He stated the part would have to be ordered and would take approximately 2-3 days. It would be sometime next week before it could be replaced and the dishwasher functional. Direct Appliance arrived one week later on 7/13/2017. The replacement valve would not function. I believe they stripped the treads during installation. A repairman showed me a part and described it as a plastic piece of junk. I told him that it belonged to a brand-new dishwasher which had been unusable for two weeks. A new valve was ordered. I called the warranty number and talked to McCalla (phonetically spelled) after running through a telephone menu. I asked not to be put on hold while she spoke to Direct Appliance. Apparently, that is what was done during one of the extended holds on which I was placed. After being put on hold twice, I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was put on hold the third time. MaCalla came back on to tell me I would not be able to talk to a supervisor for at least another 7 minutes and indicated that I would be put back on hold. I did not ever speak to a supervisor.
    Two workers from Direct Appliance returned on 7/14/2017. They were here approximately 20 minutes and began to leave after saying that would do it. The dishwasher was running and I told them it had run before but did not clean. They said that before it was not getting water then and I responded it was. I was then told it was not getting enough water and they had fixed that. They walked out the door saying that if that if there were further problems to call the and they would come back out. They were not receptive to waiting to see if cleaning of dishes would actually occur. The dishwasher now appears to be cleaning as designed. The wait time has claimed an entire day and it took over two weeks from the installation to the time it would actually function. The wasted time and the Maytag unsatisfactory customer service cause me to recommend against their products. It is an opinion that I intend to share with Consumer Reports and media outlets.

  3. Our kitchen is all Maytag – Microwave (built-in) – Dishwasher – Refrigerator – Double Range. Thought I was buying pretty good items. Right now, something is wrong with everything but the Microwave (had that $300.00 repair this summer). Well, we bought junk. Unless you like to pay for constant repairs – DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MAYTAG.

    I trusted them – have always purchased Maytag. They should give you your own personal repairman with every purchase. Service Dept. is a joke – kept putting me on hold. Probably to think up another lie to tell me – before she had to tell me “there is nothing I can do, to help you.” Save yourselves don’t buy MAYTAG, it is too late for me.

  4. I ordered a new refrigerator from Maytag through Lowes on September 23, 2016. I was not told that delivery would be delayed or the item was backordered. We have had four separate 3 week delays. The salesperson at Lowes has been pursuing this item through Maytag’s manufacturing warehouse, but he has been misinformed (lied to) repeatedly. Maytag now says it should be delivered by Nov. 25-28. This is the same amount of time they would say if I had just purchased the refrigerator today. Maytag should not advertise items that they can not produce. I bought a dishwasher and stove at the same time and had hoped to have the refrigerator match these appliances. This company is inept from marketing to manufacturing to delivery. Buyer beware! Buying new appliances should be pleasurable, not an ordeal. I doubt I will ever see this refrigerator in my home.

Saturday our refrigerator had it`s birthday,two years old and after hearing the compressor cracking and clunking for the past year it finally quit,ironically we had recently spoke with the local seller/service company and were told that the noise is typical.we were told our unit needs a new compressor and would be about $400,i happened to see the part was from SINGAPORE,rather unusual for a company that sounds so AMERICAN.Maybe MAYTAG should move everything to SINGAPORE and have some JAPANESE company take over the U S market.

  6. Purchased a Maytag dishwasher two months ago. Already had a technician out because it was smoking and smelled like fire. Tech said order would dissipate and it was not an unusual call. Took five hours off of work as there was a five hour window to wait for service. Now the door of the dishwasher does not lock. Called again for service and then do not come out on Saturday. Extremely poor customer service and will never buy a Maytag again. Big mistake!

  8. Maytag or Whirpool Corp has the worst crap you can buy ! They are sorry that the commercial Dryers i bought have a main part ( user-interface assembly ) that are no longer made and have no replacement. This dryer was boxed for shipment in 2009,really 5 years and they are no longer any good because of one part that you cant get anymore. I had to take a part out of a brand new dryer in the box to replace one in use ,now the dryer new in the box is worthless. Way to go Whirlpool,you know what you can do with all your junk that you sell. I now will check who makes parts for any appliances i buy. Whirlpool i hope your demise is guick !

  9. Have a 4 yr old Centennial Washer, just had to replace timer assembly (W10243947) and water sensor switch (W10248240). Cost was $310, for a 4 yr old washer. Will not buy from this company again

  10. Purchased a home HVAC system from Maytag for almost $10,000. Reason we bought the Maytag was because it came with a 12 year parts and labor warranty. 5 years later a major component fails on the unit, but it turns out the service company that Magtag contracted with went out of business and the service contract was taken over by another company. The new company says their obligation is only for $190, which basically means there is no warranty. Maytag says that is not their problem. Seems to me Maytag should stand behind their warranty not try and pass the buck. If this is how they do business, I would never buy another Maytag product.

    and yes it is a maytag. have to re-wash clothes 3 or 4 times just to get them rinsed.

    it is one of the high efficiency washers…..what a joke……..

    if I had my money back I would buy a different brand………

    this is what you have to do to your HE Maytag washing machine to get rid of the stench.. oh wait .. it does not get rid of it.. it is only a temporary fix and has to be done almost monthly.. the machine does not drain properly leaving water standing and that causes mold and mildew. I am not sure if Maytag knows of this flaw in the design but would be surprised if they did not.. Maytag should find a way to repair this or replace these washing machines. This mold can be a serious health issue to many people.

  15. Maytag Dishwasher did not reach the 2 year mark and had already put an extra $300 into a new control panel. Maytag service is a joke. There is nothing but “Sorry we can’t help you.” I will never purchase another Maytag product. I was sold on Maytag until this.

  17. Bought a new washer & dryer Lowes said if I purchased both I would et a rebate. Sent in paper work and maytag said I did not qualify sent paper back with all the info never heard back. They do not stand behind their product. Getting ready to purchase a new Refrig and stove.never another maytag product. There are to many other who care about your business.

  19. I bought a Maytag refrigerator from Home Depot, the seal leaked from day one setting of the alarm. They said the seal needed time to seat itself, then we had over loaded the draw. After a month it wasn’t covered and. And I had to contact Maytag and the crap goes on. After I knew Home Depot wasn’t going to refund my money, they contacted

    Maytag. They sent someone out, his plan was to order a new draw and seals. This would take 4 to 6 weeks now I have this $900.00 dollar junk in my basement and another new one to replace it. Repair man asks if I have any comments( can’t say what I would like to) would like a refund but that’s not going to happen fix it. Now I have waited a month an make a call to see what’s going on. They tell me they haven’t ordered anything because I wanted a refund. I bought this refrigerator around the first of February, today is August 19.

  20. Have always thought your products were the best ones to buy, until now. I went on line to order a timer for my washer and have been informed the part is no longer available from the manufacturer. The washer and dryer set I have isn’t that old. Not happy at all knowing that this washer is worth nothing, nothing but scrap metal. Will never buy another Maytag product again. Will advise others to do the same.

  21. I just have a question. I have had my dryer for around 35 years, it still works. I do have to time it myself, but at this stage that is all. Was wondering if there would be any interest in using for advertisement or whatever.
