Dear Sen. Paul: I just wrote a letter to the Evansville (Indiana) Courier & Press supporting a pardon for Edward Snowden, which was debated in an editorial on 6-9-2015. They wrote that those who “commit civil disobedience in a higher cause should expect to face the consequences.” I wrote that “All laws that are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void.” Marbury v. Madison (1803). I applaud your criticism of NSA snooping. Edward Snowden in fact did not break the law. Article I of the U S Constitution prohibits ex post facto laws. NSA snooping violated the 4th Amendment among other provisions, and was an illegal law. I’m at the library and about out of time but God Bless You. -Connie
