Bought a EOtech HWS from Cheaper than Dirt. Submitted all the paper work for rebate. Never recieved it. Mounted the site. Went to the range. Discovered translucent obstruction in lens. Filled out on line paper work and sent in for repair. Haven’t heard a word since after repeated efforts to contact. Something seriously wrong with EOtech. It looks to me that they are selling their junk that could not pass quality control at a discount in the hope that you won’t complain. STAY AWAY FROM EOTECH.
I called them for assistance on the Rebate Form. I got a young girl “Laura” who responded to my question, “I’m not really sure”. She was in fact working the rebate calls, so I got the right department. I phoned back later and got another young girl who was slightly more helpful.
After a couple of months I emailed the company regarding the status of my rebate, since the online status of their website could not find me in their database.
I bought EOTech largely, because they were an American company, and the product was made in the USA. I can tell you in all sincerity beware of these people if you should ever need any service whatsoever from this company. They are very curt and incompetent in all aspects of customer service. BEWARE, these people don’t care…Period!
I had lost my screw for my 552. My call lasted less than 2 min and they just sent it, no problems.

EOTech…….I purchased 4 items at a show in Harrisburg, Pa……….2 magnifiers and 2 holographic sights………very expensive, but I purchased them because of a rebate they were offering……..the rebate brought the price to still above the cost of competitors pricing but I purchased them because they were made in the USA. Well, EOTech is a SCAM………after submitting all of my paperwork to them well ahead of the deadline, and after patiently waiting for the 8 to 10 week period that is stated on their rebate forms I called them……….Conveniently enough, for them, so they allege, they had no paperwork under my name……….the customer service girl asked if it could be under another name by chance, I read to her from my copies of the paperwork……..she asked me to fax the entire bundle of paperwork (proof of purchase receipt, copies of the barcodes and filled out forms) to her and she would process it. I immediately faxed the bundle to her……..I then called them to verify they had received the paperwork and could get nothing but a recording……..the recording promised to have somebody return my call……..they never did………a week later I phoned them again………got the same customer service agent……..she said she remembered my call and said she received my info but could not read a serial number, said she would get that info from me then put me on hold………after a few minutes she came back and said that her supervisor just told her that that rebate offer was closed……………..needless to say I was livid…………..this company is a scam…………with a capital S………..They are lower than LOW…….do not buy another product from them ……..besides, they are over rated over priced and the company is a den of snakes………I will tell everybody within the sound of my voice to avoid them……….I will write to the NRA and tell them…….I will write to all of the fish and gun clubs that I associate with and those that I don’t.
EOTech, you may screw some people and they may let it go………….but it won’t go away quietly with me…………
