CLEAR Customer Service: Phone, Membership, Cancellation & Airport Help

CLEAR customers may need help with a CLEAR+ membership, airport verification, annual renewal, cancellation, refund, family member, billing problem, biometric verification, CLEAR app, TSA PreCheck enrollment through CLEAR, or privacy request. CLEAR provides Member Care by phone and email along with its 24-hour Halo digital assistant and online account-management tools.

CLEAR Customer Service Contact Information

CLEAR currently recommends its Halo chat assistant as the fastest way to begin a support request. Halo is available around the clock and can connect customers with a live support agent when necessary.

For membership-specific questions, customers can also call 1-855-253-2763, Extension 5, or email memberservices@clearme.com.

How Much Does CLEAR+ Cost?

CLEAR currently lists the standard CLEAR+ price as:

$219 per year

CLEAR+ is the company’s paid airport membership that gives members access to dedicated CLEAR+ lanes at participating airport security checkpoints.

Current family pricing allows the primary member to add up to three adults for $125 per person per year.

Children age 17 and younger can accompany a CLEAR+ member through the standard CLEAR+ lane without purchasing their own membership.

CLEAR also offers certain discounted or subsidized membership pricing through partners including airlines, credit-card companies, military programs, and government-employee programs.

Because partner eligibility and prices can change, check the current CLEAR offer before enrolling or renewing.

What Does CLEAR+ Actually Do?

CLEAR+ expedites the identity-verification portion of the airport security process.

At participating airports, CLEAR+ members enter a designated CLEAR lane and verify their identity using CLEAR’s technology.

Depending on the airport, this can involve:

  • Face-first identity verification
  • A CLEAR Pod
  • A CLEAR eGate
  • Assistance from a CLEAR Ambassador

After identity verification, the traveler continues to the appropriate TSA physical-security screening process.

CLEAR+ does not eliminate TSA security screening.

CLEAR+ Versus TSA PreCheck

CLEAR+ and TSA PreCheck are different services.

CLEAR+ helps expedite identity verification before the TSA physical-screening process.

TSA PreCheck is a Transportation Security Administration trusted-traveler program for eligible low-risk travelers. TSA PreCheck members can generally use expedited screening procedures that may allow them to leave on shoes, belts and light jackets and keep qualifying laptops and liquids packed.

A traveler can have:

  • CLEAR+ only
  • TSA PreCheck only
  • Both CLEAR+ and TSA PreCheck

Travelers with both services can use CLEAR+ with TSA PreCheck at participating checkpoints when their boarding pass shows the TSA PreCheck indicator.

CLEAR+ Versus Global Entry

Global Entry is also different from CLEAR+.

Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection program designed primarily to expedite entry into the United States for approved travelers arriving from international destinations.

CLEAR+ primarily assists with identity verification for departing passengers at participating U.S. airport security checkpoints.

Travelers should contact the agency or company responsible for the specific program:

  • CLEAR+: CLEAR
  • TSA PreCheck: Transportation Security Administration and its authorized enrollment providers
  • Global Entry: U.S. Customs and Border Protection

TSA PreCheck Through CLEAR Customer Service

CLEAR is currently an authorized enrollment provider for TSA PreCheck.

This is separate from an ordinary CLEAR+ membership.

Current TSA PreCheck enrollment through CLEAR costs approximately $79.95 for five years. Online renewal currently costs $69.95, while an in-person renewal costs $79.95.

For TSA PreCheck enrollment support through CLEAR, the company currently lists:

1-888-831-9070

Support hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-10:00 PM ET.

Email support is available at:

CLEARCustomerSupport@tsa.dhs.gov

Do not use this specialized TSA PreCheck support route for an ordinary CLEAR+ billing or cancellation question.

How to Cancel CLEAR+

CLEAR+ memberships can be canceled online.

Current cancellation steps are:

  1. Sign in at my.clearme.com.
  2. Select Membership.
  3. Select Payments.
  4. Select the CLEAR+ Membership showing the payment structure and next billing cycle.
  5. Select Cancel Membership.
  6. Follow the remaining confirmation steps.

Customers can also use CLEAR’s Halo chat assistant to cancel.

If you are on a trial, cancel before the final day of the trial to avoid being charged.

If you are part of another member’s Family Plan, only the primary account holder can manage that family membership.

CLEAR+ Refund Policy

CLEAR currently provides an important 14-day refund period.

If a CLEAR+ member cancels within 14 days of the date they were charged for the current membership term, CLEAR says the customer will receive a full refund for that membership term.

CLEAR+ airport-lane access ends when the membership is canceled under this refund option.

If cancellation occurs more than 14 days after the charge, the membership generally remains active for the current paid term and is scheduled not to renew when that term expires.

For a trial membership, cancel before the final day of the trial to avoid the first membership charge.

CLEAR Automatic Renewal

CLEAR+ is an automatically renewing membership unless renewal is canceled.

Customers should check:

  • Current membership price
  • Renewal date
  • Payment card
  • Family-member charges
  • Airline or partner discounts

before the next renewal.

Membership information can be reviewed at my.clearme.com.

CLEAR’s member terms allow the company to change paid-service fees with notice and an opportunity to cancel before the new renewal price takes effect.

Managing a CLEAR Account

Customers can use my.clearme.com to:

  • Upgrade or reactivate a membership
  • Add family members
  • Deactivate family members
  • Cancel CLEAR+
  • Adjust renewal settings
  • Update billing information
  • View receipts
  • Print receipts

Certain identity information must be updated in person.

CLEAR currently instructs members to visit a CLEAR airport location with valid photo identification to update information such as:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Member photo

CLEAR Family Plan

A CLEAR+ member can currently add up to three adult friends or family members to the membership.

The current additional-member price is:

$125 per adult per year

Added adults can use their own CLEAR+ benefits even when the primary account holder is not traveling with them.

Children age 17 and younger do not need to be added as paid family members when traveling through the standard CLEAR+ lane with an enrolled adult.

Family pricing and terms can change, so verify the current rate before adding someone.

CLEAR Identity Verification Problems

If CLEAR cannot successfully verify your identity or biometrics, contact Member Care rather than repeatedly creating new accounts.

CLEAR says Member Care can troubleshoot verification problems and, when appropriate, configure the account so the customer can submit new biometric images.

Have the following available:

  • Name on the CLEAR account
  • Mobile phone number connected to the account
  • Email address
  • Type of identification being used
  • Airport or service where the problem occurred
  • Error message when applicable

Do not send copies of identity documents through an unverified email address or third-party support site.

CLEAR Biometric Data and Privacy

CLEAR uses identity and biometric information as part of several services.

Its June 2026 Privacy Policy says information it may process can include:

  • Facial images and faceprints
  • Fingerprints
  • Iris scans
  • Government-issued ID information
  • Account information
  • Travel information
  • Location and device information

The exact information involved depends on which CLEAR service a customer uses.

CLEAR states that it does not sell biometric or sensitive personal data.

Customers should read the current Privacy Policy before enrolling if they have questions about biometric information, retention or sharing.

Can You Ask CLEAR to Delete Your Biometrics?

Yes.

CLEAR states that customers can request deletion of their personal information, including biometric data.

To make a privacy or deletion request:

Canceling a paid CLEAR+ membership and requesting deletion of personal information are different actions.

If the goal is to stop renewal and delete stored information, complete both processes as appropriate.

CLEAR ID Versus CLEAR+

CLEAR also offers CLEAR ID, which is different from paid CLEAR+.

CLEAR describes CLEAR ID as a free digital identity product that can be used at participating TSA checkpoints.

CLEAR+ is the paid membership that provides access to dedicated CLEAR+ airport lanes.

Customers should therefore check which CLEAR service they actually enrolled in before disputing a charge or attempting to cancel.

CLEAR Airport Locations and Hours

CLEAR+ is available only at participating airports, terminals and checkpoints.

The company’s current website lists more than 150 CLEAR+ lanes across more than 60 airports.

Individual lane operating hours can differ by:

  • Airport
  • Terminal
  • Checkpoint
  • Day

Check CLEAR’s official Where to Use CLEAR tool before relying on a CLEAR+ lane for a specific trip.

Airport lane hours are different from CLEAR customer-service hours.

What If a CLEAR Lane Is Closed?

A CLEAR+ membership does not guarantee that a lane will be open at every airport, terminal, checkpoint or hour.

If the CLEAR lane is closed:

  • Proceed through the airport’s available TSA checkpoint.
  • Use TSA PreCheck if eligible and available.
  • Check the CLEAR app or official location page for current CLEAR lane information.

Do not miss a flight while waiting for a CLEAR lane to open.

CLEAR Corporate Headquarters

Clear Secure, Inc.’s current 2026 SEC filings list:

Clear Secure, Inc.
85 10th Avenue
9th Floor
New York, NY 10011
646-723-1404

This replaces the older 650 Fifth Avenue, 12th Floor, New York, NY 10019 address previously shown on this CustomerServiceNumbers.com page.

The corporate telephone number is not the preferred route for routine CLEAR+ membership support.

For membership, cancellation, billing or verification issues, use CLEAR Member Care at 1-855-253-2763 or the online support system.

How to Escalate a CLEAR Customer Service Complaint

If the first contact does not resolve the problem:

  1. Sign in and review the current membership, renewal date and billing information.
  2. Save receipts, renewal notices and previous support messages.
  3. Use Halo or email memberservices@clearme.com.
  4. Call 1-855-253-2763, Extension 5, when live assistance is needed.
  5. Clearly explain whether the issue involves cancellation, refund, billing, family membership, airport verification or another service.
  6. Ask for written confirmation of a cancellation or refund when applicable.
  7. Keep the confirmation until the expected refund or account change is complete.

For a privacy or biometric-data complaint, use privacy@clearme.com rather than ordinary billing support.

CLEAR Customer Service Reviews and Complaints

CustomerServiceNumbers.com currently displays 3.0 out of 5 stars based on 1 review on this CLEAR page.

However, the single visible review is dated June 28, 2014 and discusses buying a service from Best Buy, unlimited data usage, streaming video and internet speeds.

Those details do not describe the current biometric identity-verification company or CLEAR+ airport membership. The review appears to concern the former CLEAR wireless-internet service and therefore should not be used to evaluate today’s CLEAR Secure customer service.

There is currently not enough relevant CustomerServiceNumbers.com review feedback on this page to identify legitimate praise or complaint trends involving CLEAR+, airport lanes, membership renewals, cancellations, refunds, biometric verification, or Member Care.

Customers who have actually used the current CLEAR service can leave a review below describing their own experience.

Clear Customer Service

June 28, 2014

This company is deceptive in its practices. When I purchased this service from Best Buy I was told that I had unlimited dara usage, however if I watch a lot of videos and other streaming media then the service slows down. And stops. I hate being. Lied to and squeezed for money. I would never recommend this company to anyone . They have been sued once, they’ll probably be sued again.
