  1. BEEN with Directv for 3 plus years . I’m a senior citizen that was use to customer service. Like all these other customers I’ve had the bad service and the weather issues I asked about before hand and the telephone tech talk telling me to go out and then call them the next time it goes out and let them know……????????.I ASK them to make a service call to no avail! The problem is all these systems are over-priced and are all over-promising what they will do.

  2. Signed up with direct tv . Was told installer would be there on a certain day between 1 and 5 . Got a call at 5;30 that he was running late but would be there in a half hour making it 6 oclock . He showed up at 7:15 and would not put the dish on the second story roof ( that’s where current dish from dish network is ) as agreed upon when I signed up.

    He left without doing the job . When I called customer service and told them my problem they immediately said we will cancel the order . HOW ABOUT WE WILL SEND SOMEONE OUT TO DO THE JOB AS AGREED UPON . I’m glad to find out that this company has so much money they can let new services go . I’ll stay with dish network .

    he is a Sr. Field Technician who KNOWS HOW TO HANDLE A PROBLEM because of him I am willing to stay with Direct TV. I had very bad experience in 2005 and again 2009

    but Thanks to not given up I am trilled with my Technician.

  5. I SCHEDULE A UP GRADE TWO WEEKS AGO TO BRING 3 BOXES, THEY SCEDULE BETWEEN 8-12 NO CALL UNTIL 1 PM, TO SAY SORRY WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE…WTF REALLY! AND I JUST USED A VACATION DAY TO BE HOME FOR THEM, THEY EVEN SENT OUT A REMINDER A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO. WOW` REASON FOR NO SHOW? THEY DON’T HAVE THE TECHNITIONS TO DO THE WORK? AND YOU COULDN’T HAVE CALLED ME THE NIGHT BEFORE TO TELL ME THIS. SO I CALL TO GET ANSWERS, TALK TO A SUPERVISOR, AND KEPT ON HOLD RIGHT NOW IT’S UP TO 16 MIN AS I’M WRITING THIS.

  6. this company get more than 250 from my home bill, on football season, and about 150 everymonth prior to football season, as human nature, I happen to forget to pay the bill, but once i noticed I payed and called the day prior to service interruption, we were told to pay by credit card or service would be still turned off, I wasn’t going to pay again, since the bank already had sent payment out. As a courtesy to a client who has been with Direct tv for many years, they should not have turned off service, since I called prior to give all the information about payment sent.

    since we have called several times, now the electronic message will not transferr to speak to a representative, my bank states payment was to arrive to directv on 9.5, today is 9.5.13 and all i get is the electronic message stating when payment is recieved service will be put back on, well payment is in your facility where i don’t know and that’s not my problem, since on the electronic message there is an option to extend turn off date, and we wheren’t given that option.

    sorry to say as soon as it comes back on, we will be taking our business elsewhere Comcast or Fios, as a customer we should have been given an extension on turn off date, and we weren’t instead we are being treated as ppl who a always delinquent, and as for speaking to someone directly your service is horrible as well.

    we even have stayed with your company regardless of everytime weather is bad the dish doesnt work, at least we should have been extended a courtesy on bill

  7. I have been a customer with you for over 12 years. Over the weekend I had the pleasure of being helped by two of the most outstanding reps that should get highest recommendations. The first was a young lady named kourtny from Idaho who was not only very helpful but went above what was just required and went the extra distance. Today on the follow up call I had the pleasure of being helped by an outstanding young man Marisse Ross P298 in Arizona. We have had nothing but problems with the main dvr and now they will send us a new one because this one we have is defective but we have not received it yet and it went out on Sunday and it is now Tuesday night and we don’t have any t.v. still.I have explained that I am disabled and this is completely ridiculous,I have no t.v. and my hubby is out of town on business so yes this sux for me…They wont even take anything off the bill so I will write to the ceo and get something done and then we can disconnect service..Sincerly a pissed off woman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. I would not recommend Direct Tv to anyone, even with the smallest amount of bad weather our signal goes out. If you want a reliable service definately do not use Direct Tv.

  10. Set-up to install Directv a week and a half in advance. Twice, I called to verify my order which, on both occasions included a $200 Costco card. When the installer came, guess what, no card was mentioned on the order. Call the 188 number and now they have no sign of the card. Than the installer says I need a pole put up for $75 dollar minimum. I cancelled before I even got the service installed. Beware of the bait and switch routine. Not was they promised Stay Away

  13. direct tv a bunch of price gougers every year price increase but they can give big boy ceo 32million salery .time to change bad weather in area stay tuned to your local news channel for father up date than no service .tv is blank than what do you do go look up your battery powred radio old faithful.to tell you to go to the cellar or what ,this satellite tv sucks.

  14. I am trying to make a payment and cannot get hold of anybody!!!!!! A customer service agent answered then connected me to the billing dept that says I called after office hours and she said that your office is still open. I started calling at 7:30 till 9:00 and cannot get anyone. What the hell is wrong with your office?!!!!! You want customers??? Answer your your damn phones and give good customer service.

  15. I do worry about the reliability of Directv signal. It dont seem to be WORRY FREE as advertised. Allmost every time that we get a light rain, we loose the signal. It will notstay off for a long time, but it is very disturbing.

  16. Very unhappy with service when you require help. We have been on with Direct TV all morning . We pay for the service to have a service man come to our home-but that never happens. Instead they make you go through all kinds of pulling out boxes and taking off wires and going from room to room to room. Very disappointed with them- and the icing on the cake is I lost what I recorded (2 of my favorite shows) I am trying to convince my husband to just cancel-it would save us a lot of aggravation.

I am a prospective DirectTV customer,but after seeing your commercials,i changed my mind.May be just my opinion,but the ads about the convict and blowing up your home are just way over thw top.They send a fear message and its too much meaness.Its not funny at all,maybe be awful is more like it.TV is all about family,watching movies together,not having to spend a fortune at the theatre,in the comfort of your home,etc.Its not about the violence i see in the ad.If your ad agency came up with this,they need to be fired. My grand daughter saw the commercial and commented,”what the heck is that all about”. Well, my question too,you could surely do better.

  18. I too have been a long standing customer with Direct Tv for over 10 years. Had a bad storm and it knocked out connection to service. Called for repair they said it would take almost a week to get out here and correct it. Called customer service to complain. They said they would be out tomorrow. Well it’s tomorrow and have heard nothing. I even explained that I was having out of town guests Friday. Wow, guess they are too busy trying to set up new accounts, old standby’s can just drop dead. Very disappointed.

  19. hi, my name is steve from Vermont, I have had Direct tv for 6 years and on this sunday my swh card what ever that is is not working thay said it will take 2 weeks to send a new swh but a repair person needs to put it in , I said are you joking 2 weeks send it to me I will put it in, all you have to do is plug it in and screw the cable into it, no we need to do it WOW, I told them to cancel the hole dam thing, and I know the 3 repair men in my area, and just yesterday thay said thay cant get enough work from direct Tv, this company is very bad I am trying DISH I hope there better.

  21. directv has charged more for less for years. I canceled my service and in spite of being a customer for at least 7 years, I was charged an early cancelation fee.
