  1. The customer service rep was knowledgeable and was able to transfer me over to the technical rep in order to

    resolve issues in my upgrade to 4K services. All the technical questions I had were answered promptly and effectively. The changes to my equipment was made and ordered along with the required changes to my subscription services. Another rep went through the changes to my plan so I understood the changes that needed to be implemented. These were all done professionally and courteously. Thanks DirecTV! Looking forward to having UHD programming in the near future!

  2. Your Customer service is the WORSE I have ever dealt with. Can never talk to a person that speaks good English, then they just pass you on to someone else, they back to the round and round menu. NEVER a answer. I was to get a gift certificate when switched to Direct, that was back on March 14,2016, NEVER received it, was told to go on line and it would be taken care of, NO couldn’t do it, still no answer. SORRY Company, just a bunch of theives.

  3. We changed from the old system over to the new wireless system. That lasted about 2 months then the system failed and it took 8 days for someone to come out and replace the old dish, rewire the dish to the house and did not have a international dish on his van so my motherinlaw could have her international stations. Was told that they would be back in 2 weeks with that dish. In the mean time our system has failed again in 1 week of having a brand new system installed. Getting sick and tired of these failures and having to wait weeks before a tech can come get our TV back on line. FIX IT OR GET IT OUT OF MY HOUSE, LAST CHANCE.

  4. I just bundled with Century link: phone internet and direct tv. I have had direct tv for several years and have had no problems until now. When I bundles with century Link I was told that I would get a $ 50.00 credit on my first bill. and that because direct tv is bundled with century link that my tv bill would drop to to $66.99 from the $92.56 that I have been paying for years. None of this is on the bill that I just got in the mail/ No $50.00 discount and no $ 66.99.. I want this resolved ASAP.. this bill is for July 24 to August 23 of 2016.

  5. Very poor service.. and absolutely no help, these people are incompetent! I am seriously thinking of going back to Dish. Channels are disappearing from service and the costs are still going up.

  6. Our problem seems to be the same as a lot of others I read on here. It involves Direct was not keeping the price agreed upon per the contract we signed. I guess we are somewhat to blame for even believing what the high-pressure salesman (at Sam’s Club) said. We at one time had Dish and had trouble getting help with a receiver problem, so much so that we decided to try something else. This was a bad decision the Direct installer would not put the satellite dish where we had it before and therefore every time it rains even a small amount or is just a front approaching our picture is either so pixilated it cannot be seen, or just flips off altogether.We do not plan to ever use Direct again or refer anyone to them, as they seem to not be able to have a Customer Service Department that will fix anything. I had always thought when you sign a contract for an amount that the excuse of “we had a price increase” was not a viable excuse.

I know someone who purchesed his own dish and equipment and then called direct tv for the hookup….he was told that direct tv would not allow the hookup because he didn’t purchese the dish from dirct tv….then why is the dish and equipment being sold to anyone who wants to buy it ?????? why won’t they allow the hookup ????

  8. Asked several times about $100 Visa when signing up for Direct, agent said they had to ask supervisor, but they never confirmed Visa, just blew me off. Fair is fair. Certainly has left a bad taste in my mouth concerning Direct.

  10. I have had nothing but trouble with this company from the very start of my contract, it was so bad that they let me out of my contract a year early. Just found out what looks like they billed me for a month that I will not have their service, didn’t think to cancel the auto payments. I have to agree with Gill the service is rotten

  13. I am beyond disappointed with the channels provided by Direct TV. With Uverse I had the Smithsonian Channel, Flip or Flop on HGTV, Air Disasters, Dr. G Medical Examiner, Alaska Frontier. None of those with Direct TV. I find that much of the programing is very, very old and/or hokey. My middle aged kids watched some of their offerings when they were growing up! Same with the movies on Starz, HBO etc. Yuk! And the installer installed the satalite dish 1st, (so I couldn’t cancel my 2 YR CONTRACT!) before telling me that I had to pay an additional $7.99 per mo. if I wanted the equipment repaired/replaced at no cost (?) to me if it failed. Including the remote controls. Additionally, he installed the main receiver in the wrong room. I’m TRAPPED with this co. that I think will soon rival Comcast for general dislike, but once contract is over – WE’RE THROUGH!

    The good news is: I guess I’ll take up reading again! Better than the Direct TV offerings…..

  14. Direct TV Sucks..Take forever to answer phones at Customer service and seldom resolve anything. Always try to charge me $50.00 for service calls when it’s THEIR crappy equipment that usually is the problem. Speaking of problems: My “Genie” service has many issues. Extremely slow channel changing..sometimes receiver doesn’t respond at all.I have to unplug, then plug back in over and over. Many times I turn it on and my tv says “No Signal” This whole system is a pain in the ass! Calling Customer Service is a nightmare. I can’t wait till my contract is up and can go back to cable

  15. After days of frustration, repeated calls to the technical service, we still do not have a working television. After hours on the phone, they scheduled a service call for Sunday, 5 days after the call. When I received confirmation, they still had the incorrect address listed. This was after I told them to change it. I just spent over 20 minutes talng to them again to get the correct address listed. The person on the phone kept repeating, just a second, but could not seem to do more than that. I hope the service person does not go to the old address – that house burned down over 10 years ago!

    Customer service is an oxymoron!

  17. I’ve called DirecTV twice in 3 days. First I was promised an E-Mail with instructions to fix my problem. It never came. Then I tried to talk with someone about my problem but the connection was so bad that I could never understand him even though he kept me on hold ten minutes or more. My problem; I have a cinema connection kit That I brought from a former residence. When we moved a guy came out and hooked us up but did not install the wireless kit. I cannot order movies without a lot of trouble (which would be no trouble if I was 10 years old). The online instructions told me to plug the blue cable into a corresponding jack on the receiver. There is no corresponding jack on my receiver nor is there a place to hook up the coax wire coming out of the kit. My kit is a DCAW1R0-01 With a DCA2SRO-18 connection home adapter attached.

  18. DirecTV, is bad news. My problem is that I called a number that was in their brochure stating that I would get their service and also ATT phone and Internet connections. The person that took my call took it upon themselves to get Hughes Net equipment hooked up instead of the promised ATT service. When I started receiving bills from both Hughes and ATT, for my internet service, I called Hughes and cancelled their service, returned their equipment and I’m still trying to get a refund from Hughes Net. DirecTV, doesn’t seem to understand an error was made by their representative.

  19. I know I have a technical problem with my satellite dish and I know that I’ve waited too

    long to call DirecTv about it. And I finally did so yesterday afternoon. When I finally was able to contact one of the local service people to tell them what my problem is, he told me that he would send someone out to take a look at my satellite dish. They never showed up, and I am still waiting! But why the Hell do they make it so damned hard to reach one of their technical service people where you live?? All these idiots are doing is causing us a lot of frustration, and making us extremely angry!!!

  20. I signed up with Direct in Nov. of 2015, since then I have had nothing but trouble with their paperwork and trying to pay my bill. I originally signed up to pay by bank draft. It did not happen and everytime I try to call I get someone in the Phillipines who says oh yes I can help you. They want to know all details, I go over it and say it is taken care of . NO WAY. I now get a notice that mky service is interrupted. I only use this as a second home and not there all time. Why can’t I talk to someone in the U.S. ??
