KB Home Warranty and Service Request Help

KB Home provides warranty-service information through its official warranty page and MyKB tools. Warranty coverage may include different time periods for workmanship and materials, mechanical systems, and certain structural components, depending on the warranty terms and location.

KB Home says warranty service requests can be submitted through its warranty service form. Emergency warranty issues should be handled through the service line shown for the applicable region. If your issue involves a major water leak, gas leak, loss of power, sewer backup, heating or air-conditioning failure during extreme temperatures, or another condition that could make the home unsafe or uninhabitable, follow KB Home’s emergency instructions and contact emergency services, your utility provider, or a qualified professional when appropriate.

Before You Contact KB Home

Before calling or submitting a request, gather your community name, home address, closing date, purchase agreement, warranty documents, MyKB login information, service request number, photos, inspection notes, design studio paperwork, and a clear written description of the issue.

For warranty complaints, keep a timeline with dates, names or titles of contacts, repair appointments, missed appointments, photos, emails, text messages, and any prior service attempts. Written documentation can make it easier to explain the problem and show when the issue was reported.

KB Home Disappointing Issues

October 2, 2015

KB Home, I puchased a KB Home in June 2015. I was told home was 100% complete before closing, when I got there there were no appliances and the home did not have CO/final inspection by building appt approval. KB Home, of course had my cash money. I guess I could by hot plate to cook and get cooler full of ice for drinks. My second week in home; at 3 in morning the toilets were both clogged. KB Home sent a plumber out next day. Plumber did not have snake! He found hose in dumpster and tried to clear drain line with that. Later I had plumber come out on numerous other occasisons because sand in line kept clogging toilet tanks. My biggest issue which I have lived with for almost four months now is low water flow. It is half what it is supposed to be. So my showers dribble when both are on. My hose outside sprays about 10 feet. KB Home wants the plumber who had no snake to fix water flow issue. But they will not give me date to fix since the same plumber does the new installs in slabs. (so those people also will get same quality work) KB Home customer no service is the worst I have seen in the 9 homes I have owned. Also my roof was not installed per Owens Corning specifications which basically voids the warranty. I have letter from Owens Corning saying they will. So they will patch the incorrect edge detail which Owens Corning says incorrect. My recomendation to anyone is to be very careful and know if you buy a KB home you will have lots of issues. Buyer Beware!
