5/1/2012 You need to break your contract with My Tech Gurus, Inc. The unbelievably poor, inadequate, frightenly risky "service" they provide your customers is destructive to your image and public relations. We've all looked to you with admiration, but this kind of treatment to your customers can rapidly destroy your reputation and image. I'm not opposed to people in India or other poorer countries benefitting from our excesses, but whoever is doing the hiring of tech help needs to do a better job of vetting the folks they hire. I attempted to get simple messages and requests through to them for hours last night and only succeeded in sending them a lot of money based on trust in you and my desperation in getting immediate help. I believe i was screwed, know I was mislead and promised things they couldn't deliver, and am now scared to death because of their access to the inner workings of my PC, my files and my credit card info. For this I paid good money. I'm too embarrassed to say how much and can't believe I was so trusting just because of their connection with your company! If this company you've contracted with turns out to be as fraudulent as They are inept (and i suspect they may be) you are going to lose more than your good image and reputation. There will be thousands of lawsuits. I wish I could sue for the time I've lost with them and the fear i'm experiencing in my gut! Mickey in TX

3/15/2012 I guess we should call it tech unsupport - I have been trying to get my account unblocked for a week now and they say that it is insufficient information to answer the question they ask - my high school has not changed in 40 years. I was told to just give up and open a new account, which does nto help to get the needed information. When you call the main office the lady says "I am not allowed" when you ask to speak to Steve Ballmer or Terry Myerson head of Investor Relations what a way to treat the stockholders. then in the service department got two people in terrorist countries who said they could not help then today two more who could not help - then Christine who was so rude and her way of helping was to hang up - Sam did really try to help and the Lionel said they cannot verify my high school - guess they need a copy of my diploma and then he proceeded to tell me they did not have phones in the technical support department - he is more of a dunderhead than I thought if he thought I would relaly believe that - I now see why Microsoft is falling behind the other companies - with so many folks out of work who are bright and educated Microsoft would do well to hire some of these folks and get rid of the dunderheads who are working in the company

3/5/2012 I am convinced that seeking assistance from your global tech support team to resolve a problem is akin to enjoying root canal dental work. Much like mice in a maze, I am convinced we are being tested for endurance, patience and sanity of mind. There is no adequate description of the failed system that Microsoft MSN employs. The personnel in India, the Phillipines, and Panama cannot differentiate Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) from logical thinking. I strongly suggest that any future training or personal interaction be held in a war zone so that your tech support team understand the true meaning of what it is to do battle every day as when we try to resolve issues with Microsoft's "experts" and "supervisors". If one were asked to write the next great comedy, all he/she would need is the list of Microsoft's battery of phone #s and "technicians". I am sad to say I actually own Microsoft stock. Will sell shares -even at a loss Fred

1/20/2012 unable to access email account. keep getting that I have some information missing from my account and that I need provide my password, change to a new password and provide other personal information. This is highly unusual, please verify this is an official request and why do you need these changes now. As I am unable to access the account without making requested/required changes, how will you provide response?

1/5/2012 Home page/welcom screen on msn now has a pop-up that is especially annoying and i am unable to get rid of the match.com ad. The ad seems to indicate that there is something there that i am interested in and i am not. Even if i were interested, I don't want prompts from some ad display (match.com). Evidently window live thinks it is a desirable feature it is not. Since I cant get rid of it I am going to AOL for browsing and mail. That ad feature is a dis-service particularly when it is scantily dressed women!

9/5/2011 I too have had my first issue from my computer just not even opening windows up. I have a very nice computer 2tb hard drive which I have had over 5 years now it has been running great up until last Friday 8/26/11 windows just completely shut down. I have done a sys recovery back to factory settings not once but going on 11 times now (original: Vista Ultimate to upgrade to Window 7 Ultimate) I get it back to its factory install then install all updates. Restart the computer it goes back to sys fix now. Where before it was only opening in safe mode with internet or with the commend mode a lot of good that does because you can update in internet or you cannot get commend. My case number: 1160911528 I have talked with several tech all from India. This is what I was told will you must have a hard drive or hard disk issues. Well I think not, have to spend over $100 for Geek Squad doing a diagnostics there is nothing wrong with my hardware or my brand new hard disk which was put in last year it was running fine then. I am still unable to get windows to open in a normal mode. I am writing the CEO myself. As far as I am concern it’s time for Microsoft to bring itself home to the US if you call from the US to should be able to talk with someone here in the US and not a foreign person or persons who you cannot understand that well, do you think MS would get a clue by now. The United States is hurting bring to work back home to US citizens where this Country give MS to ability to be where they are today. Customer Service needs a lot of improvement and I am tired of paying up the nose for a product that should be working. The cost to date for the upgrade $285.00 plus paying for tech support at $30.00 a pop, and I have had to do that a few times. I am broke no job MS only cares about the bottom line MONEY in their pocket so Gates can live very well and the other CEO and CFO and so on. I am tried now, how can I find a job without my computer. As per Geeks it is the software and not my computer so what I'm I to do MS owes me new software. NOT EVEN THEIR TECH FROM INDIA OR THE PHILLIPINES. Yes I have done everything that all of you have done, and I am not computer illiterate. I have nothing but problems since I put Windows 7 in now I cannot even get it to open up normally. I am tired now, so with this I agree with all of you. I am writing Corp Headquarters not that it would get me anywhere. I don’t have the money to get this fix, after all case number: 1160911528 are still not resolved. Donna Kayden

I WANT MY MONEY BACK THAT I SPENT FOR MY MACHINE. THEY DID NOT CALL ME BACK AS PROMISED AFTER SPENDING 8 HOURS TRYING TO FIX WHAT THEY DELETED. 8/27/2011 I have a new copy of win 7 put on my computer at a shop. The techs who installed Win 7 are Microsoft certified and licensed. My is custom made machine. I started having a problem with the OS and called MS to assist me. I was told by tech support, due to the fact that I had a custom made machine they couldn't help me.I would have to figure out the problem myself. The tech them abruptly hung up the phone. I called back several times and got the same song and dance. One tech took the time to tell me that if I had a Dell, HP or other standard machine, they could help. Hs anyone else had this problem?

8/20/2011 The so-called tech support is the next thing useless. First, admittedly a problem common to nearly all companies' tech support nowadays is having contracted it out to companies in India, the Phillipines, etc., many of whose employees have heavy accents when speaking in English and who, while they may be able to pass an exam in the English language, CANNOT communicate well over the phone with an American. A larger problem is the apparent assumption that anyone calling in is essentially computer ignorant and the resultant system which forces one to go through as much as a half an hour, sometimes even longer, of utterly useless questions and procedures, procedures which you have already tried, before getting to a point where anything can be accomplished. If you ever DO get to that point, that is. Further, in my experience, trying to explain what you have already done is useless, they just ignore whatever you tell them, proceed through their decision tree "help" process, and often ask you things you have already told them the answers to. On several occasions I have had a "tech" ask me for something which I just told him or her less than 5 seconds ago. If these people were truly system and software knowledgeable, actually listened to the customer, and then applied their brains to solving the problem, rather than forcing everyone through a canned troubleshooting process even after you've told them that you've already done what turns out to be at least 95% of what they then want you to do, they might actually be helpful.
