  • I always had good service with the amtrak guest rewards customer service personnel. forget “julie” it will drive you insane. the online site is good for roughing in your itinerary but i never trust a machine to complete the order. guest rewards is free so why not?

  • I don’t blame Amtrak for the tornado and other issues that made train 6 seven hours late getting to Chicago and causing me to miss my connection to Ann Arbor. The taxi wasn’t waiting outside as we had been told, and the Swissotel you sent us wasbeautiful, comfortable, and had a great view, but the next day I discovered from the telltale rows of bites on my body that the beautiful room housed a bed occupied by bedbugs. An infuriating end to a difficult trip.

  • Do you have a train from south new jersey that goes to a station around Lorton Va. or anywhere near Lorton ? NOT the auto train.

  • I am trying to reach Amtrak employee named Adrienne Nicole Kyle whose wallet with id I found on the train going to Boston from Penn Station on Friday March 7 in the business class. My name is Jim Wisdom

  • I have been trying to get the price of a round trip ticket to Charlotte for the last 2 hours, to no avail.

The price listed on the Web Site gives a price for the fiirst leg of the trip only. Does this mean that there is a charge for leg 2? How about the return trip, how much does it cost? What a lousy way to advertise.

  • Just returned from Washington DC to Deland Fl trip, Amtrak 91 – almost 18 hrs.,on 3/19 not the best accommodations but the personnel made it more than tolerable – kudos to Mr. Brunson and

Yvener, two of the nicest, most compassionate men – Amtrak a credit to your organization – the younger, Yvener, because the both bathrooms went out of service, was trying his best to get the problem fixed – he cleaned the bathrooms with disinfectant and Fabreeze and even washed the floor – I watched him……

There are products on the market to use in the type toilets are the train – the stench was almost unbearable as we sat right near both bathrooms……..

Mr. Brunson is personality plus, handling difficult situations with no problem, helping passengers in need – these two men went out of their way to make our trip pleasurable……

  • My 21 year old grandson and I took the California Zephyr from Chicago to Sacramento on July 24 and returned on July 31 with a change in trains and on to Toledo. We had a sleeper with bathroom.

    1. We thought the food was outstanding. The steak for dinner was great and the burger for lunch was super.

    2. We took too much luggage to our room on the way out. On the way back I checked my largest piece to Toledo. The instructions on luggage need improved.

Our cars were fine but a bit worn and need upgrading. Overall we liked the car personnel and felt well taken care of.

  • I was a passenger on Amtrak from San Juan Capistrano to L.A. yesterday….5/27/14 which left at 1:24. I am usually an enormous fan of Amtrak and train commuting. Yesterday, however, I have to say that the conductor on this train was exceptionally rude and had NO customer service in mind. Upon boarding the train, I asked what I was to do with my large bag…the product of my travel from Seattle to San Diego to San Juan Capistrano to L.A. His reply was cryptic and rude…He mentioned that I had to “haul” it upstairs and that racks downstairs were for disabled people. He continued…harshly, “You don’t look disabled to me and a heavy bag does not make you disabled so heave it on up Lady.” I understand that these may be the rules, however, saying this in front of many other passengers was unnecessary and he could have stated the bag stipulations in a kinder, gentler way which I still would have understood. The need for discourteous and impolite behavior to passengers is unwarranted.
