Canon Online Store Orders
Call 1-800-385-2155 for help placing a direct Canon Online Store order or requesting an eligible return.
Before contacting order support, have:
- Order number
- Purchaser name
- Account email
- Billing ZIP code
- Product and quantity
- Order date
- Tracking number
- Payment amount
A Canon product purchased from Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, Walmart, Costco or another retailer is not a Canon Online Store order.
How to Track a Canon Order
Use the Canon account or official order-tracking page.
Check whether the order is:
- Received
- Processing
- Partially shipped
- Shipped
- Delivered
- Canceled
- Returned
Canon orders containing several products may arrive in separate shipments.
Do not place a duplicate order until Canon confirms whether the first transaction completed.
Canon Online Store Return Policy
Canon’s current direct-store return policy requires an RMA.
For eligible defective or unopened merchandise:
- Contact the Canon Online Store within 14 calendar days after the order was delivered.
- Request a Return Merchandise Authorization number.
- Write the RMA clearly on the shipping package.
- Return the merchandise within 14 calendar days after the RMA was issued.
- Use a tracked and insured carrier.
- Keep the shipping receipt and delivery confirmation.
Original shipping and handling charges are generally not refunded unless Canon determines that the merchandise was defective.
Items identified as nonreturnable on their product pages are excluded.
Non-defective CD-ROMs and instruction manuals are not eligible for return or exchange.
A customized Build Your Bundle set must generally be returned together.
Returning Canon Products Purchased From Another Retailer
The seller’s return policy controls the retail transaction.
Contact the retailer for:
- Return deadline
- Exchange
- Open-box restrictions
- Missing package contents
- Shipping damage
- Refund method
- Price adjustment
Contact Canon for:
- Product registration
- Technical support
- Drivers
- Firmware
- Manufacturer-warranty questions
- Factory service
- CarePAK service when applicable
A retailer return and a Canon manufacturer-warranty claim are separate processes.
Canon Warranty Coverage
Canon warranty terms vary by product, category and market.
Review the warranty supplied with the exact:
- Camera
- Lens
- Flash
- Printer
- Scanner
- Projector
- Accessory
- Refurbished product
Many Canon U.S. consumer products include a limited warranty and a period of toll-free technical support, but coverage should not be assumed without checking the product documentation.
A warranty claim may require:
- Product serial number
- Proof of purchase
- Purchase from an authorized U.S. seller
- Inspection by Canon or an authorized facility
- Return of the product
Common Canon Warranty Exclusions
A limited warranty may exclude or restrict coverage for:
- Accidental damage
- Drops
- Liquid exposure
- Sand, dirt or environmental damage
- Misuse
- Improper storage
- Normal wear
- Consumable ink, toner or batteries
- Damage from non-Canon accessories or supplies
- Unauthorized modification
- Damage caused by self-repair
- Gray-market products
- Counterfeit products or parts
Ask Canon to identify the applicable warranty term when coverage is denied.
Canon Gray-Market Products
A gray-market product may be a genuine Canon product intended for sale in another country or region.
Possible differences include:
- Different warranty coverage
- No Canon U.S.A. warranty
- Different power accessories
- Foreign manuals or software
- Different model designations
- Unavailable U.S. parts or service
- Seller-provided warranty instead of Canon coverage
Before buying:
- Confirm that the seller is an authorized Canon U.S.A. dealer.
- Ask whether Canon U.S.A. warranty coverage applies.
- Check the model and serial number.
- Review the written return policy.
A lower price may reflect the absence of U.S. warranty support.
How to Start a Canon Repair
- Sign in to MyCanon.
- Register the product if necessary.
- Select Request a Service or Repair.
- Describe the problem.
- Review the warranty and repair options.
- Obtain the service-request or RMA information.

- Remove memory cards unless Canon specifically requests one.
- Remove unrelated accessories.
- Record the serial number.
- Photograph the product’s condition.
- Use secure protective packaging.
- Include only the items Canon requests.
- Keep the tracking number.
Do not send irreplaceable photographs or unnecessary personal data with a repair.
Canon Repair Estimate or Out-of-Warranty Charge
A repair estimate may include:
- Parts
- Labor
- Cleaning
- Alignment
- Shipping
- Tax
- Unrepaired-product return fee when applicable
Before approving:
- Ask whether warranty or CarePAK applies.
- Ask which parts will be replaced.
- Ask whether the repair has its own service warranty.
- Compare the estimate with replacement cost.
- Confirm what happens if the repair is declined.
- Request the decision in writing.
Canon Repair Status Has Not Changed
Check:
- Carrier delivery confirmation
- MyCanon service status
- Email and spam folders
- Whether Canon is waiting for estimate approval
- Whether a part is backordered
- Whether Canon requested additional information
Contact Canon with the service-request number if tracking shows delivery but the repair is not visible after normal intake processing.
Canon Genuine Parts and Self-Repair
Call 1-866-481-2569 for genuine Canon replacement service parts that Canon makes available for direct purchase.
Call 1-877-982-2666 for self-repair information.
Canon warns that complex electronic repair can create risks involving:
- Electrical shock
- Fire
- Personal injury
- Battery damage
- Loss of data
- Reduced product performance
- Future repair ineligibility
Damage caused by an unauthorized repair may not be covered by Canon’s limited warranty.
Canon CarePAK PLUS
CarePAK PLUS is an optional service plan for eligible products.
Depending on the plan, coverage can include:
- Accidental drops
- Spills
- Power surges
- Normal wear and tear
- Canon parts and labor
- Equivalent replacement at Canon’s discretion
- Two-way shipping
- Image recovery for eligible products
CarePAK PLUS generally must be purchased within 90 days after the Canon product was purchased from Canon or an authorized U.S. dealer.
The plan must be activated before service is requested.
Keep:
- Product receipt
- CarePAK receipt
- Activation code
- Activation confirmation
- Covered product serial number
CarePAK does not cover every product, event or form of damage. Abuse, misuse and fraud are excluded.
CarePAK Claim Is Not Showing in My Account
Check:
- Whether the plan was activated
- Whether the correct Canon account was used
- Product serial number
- CarePAK activation code
- Product purchase date
- Plan purchase date
- Whether the product was purchased from an eligible U.S. seller

- Blank pages
- Color or alignment problems
- Scanning

- Firmware updates
- Subscription ink

Canon Printer Will Not Connect to Wi-Fi
Before contacting support:
- Confirm the exact printer model.
- Restart the printer, router and computer or mobile device.
- Confirm the Wi-Fi network name.
- Check whether the printer supports the router’s frequency and security settings.
- Place the printer closer to the router temporarily.
- Download the current setup software from Canon.
- Remove an incomplete printer installation.
- Record the error code.
Do not give a Wi-Fi password or remote computer access to an unsolicited caller.
Canon Printer Driver or Software Download
Download drivers only from the official Canon support website.
- Go to Canon Product Support.
- Enter the complete model number.
- Select Software and Drivers.
- Confirm the operating system.
- Download the appropriate installer.
- Review Canon’s installation instructions.
Avoid sponsored search results that advertise a separate “Canon driver support” company.
Official Canon support does not require an unrelated computer-security subscription to install a printer driver.
Canon Printer Error Code
Record:
- Complete error code
- Message displayed
- Printer model
- Computer or device
- Connection method
- What happened immediately before the error
Search Canon’s official knowledge base before resetting the printer or replacing parts.
Repeatedly unplugging a printer or clearing an error without addressing the cause can create additional problems.
Canon Ink or Toner Is Not Recognized
Check:
- Correct cartridge number
- Packaging and protective tape removal
- Installation position
- Electrical contacts
- Printer firmware
- Whether the cartridge is a PIXMA Print Plan cartridge
- Whether the PIXMA Print Plan subscription is active
A subscription cartridge may stop working after the associated PIXMA Print Plan is canceled.
Non-Canon ink or toner can have different troubleshooting and warranty implications.
PIXMA Print Plan Customer Service
PIXMA Print Plan is a subscription service based on the number of pages printed.
The plan can include:
- Monthly page allowance
- Rollover pages on applicable plans
- Overage charges
- Automatic ink monitoring
- Shipment of special subscription cartridges
The enrolled printer must stay connected to the internet so Canon can monitor ink levels and arrange cartridge delivery.
Keep the shipping address and payment card current in MyCanon.
How to Cancel PIXMA Print Plan
- Sign in to MyCanon.
- Open My Subscriptions.
- Select See My Printers under PIXMA Print Plan.
- Select Manage Plan.
- Choose the cancellation option.
- Save the confirmation.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
Canon does not provide refunds for unused monthly or rollover pages in the final plan period.
Removing the printer from the internet, removing a cartridge or simply not printing does not cancel the subscription.
After cancellation:
- PIXMA Print Plan cartridges stop functioning.
- The printer can continue using separately purchased non-subscription cartridges.
- Unused pages are forfeited.
PIXMA Print Plan Charged Me After Cancellation
Check:
- Cancellation date
- End of the billing period
- Overage pages from the prior period
- Whether the cancellation was completed in MyCanon

Camera and lens concerns can involve:
- Autofocus
- Exposure
- Sensor spots

- Memory-card errors
- Overheating
- Battery or charging
- Lens communication
- Image stabilization
- Firmware
- Physical damage
Before contacting support:
- Record the exact model and serial number.
- Install a fully charged genuine or compatible battery.
- Test another supported memory card when safe.
- Record the error message.
- Check the current firmware.
- Test another lens or camera body when available.
- Preserve sample files privately.
Do not upload private photographs publicly as part of a complaint.
Canon Camera and Lens Alignment Service
Canon offers an alignment service for eligible camera-and-lens combinations.
This may be useful when:
- Autofocus appears consistently in front of the subject.
- Autofocus appears consistently behind the subject.
- A particular camera-and-lens combination is inconsistent.
- Professional calibration is needed.
Document the issue with controlled test images before requesting service.
Alignment is different from repairing physical damage or cleaning the image sensor.
Canon Product Advisory or Recall
Check Canon’s official Product Advisories page when a product has:
- Unexpected overheating
- Battery issue
- Safety warning
- Firmware defect
- Free-repair announcement
- Service notice
Match the full model and serial-number range to the advisory.
Do not assume that every problem involving the same product family is covered.
Counterfeit Canon Products and Accessories
Counterfeit products can include:
- Batteries
- Chargers
- Ink
- Toner
- Camera accessories
- Service parts
- Entire cameras or lenses
Warning signs include:
- Price far below authorized dealers
- Misspelled packaging
- Missing serial number
- Poor-quality printing
- Seller without a return policy
- Payment requested by gift card or cryptocurrency
- Product described as U.S. warranty without proof
Counterfeit batteries and chargers can create fire, overheating and equipment-damage risks.
Contact the seller and payment provider when authenticity is disputed.
Fake Canon Customer Support Scam
Canon warns that unauthorized websites may copy its logo, product images and support wording.
A fake support representative may:
- Demand payment before helping with basic printer setup.
- Ask for remote access to the computer.
- Claim the computer has a virus.
- Sell an unrelated security subscription.
- Request gift cards or cryptocurrency.
- Claim Microsoft or Apple certificates must be renewed.
- Ask the customer to move money to a secure account.
- Request a password or one-time code.
Canon says unauthorized support sites may charge hundreds of dollars while falsely presenting themselves as Canon.
Use only USA.Canon.com, the official Canon account and 1-800-652-2666.
What to Do After Contacting Fake Canon Support
- End the telephone call or chat.
- Disconnect remote-access software.
- Disconnect the computer from the internet when compromise is suspected.
- Change passwords from a known-safe device.
- Contact the bank or card issuer.
- Dispute unauthorized charges.
- Remove unauthorized software.
- Run trusted security scans.
- Review email and financial accounts.
- Preserve receipts, telephone numbers and messages.
- Report the scam to the FTC or appropriate authority.
- Contact official Canon support for the original product problem.
Do not pay a second company that unexpectedly promises to recover money lost to the first support scam.
Unfamiliar Canon Charge
An unfamiliar Canon-related charge may involve:
- Canon Online Store order
- Repair or maintenance service
- CarePAK plan
- PIXMA Print Plan
- Auto Replenishment Service
- EOS Webcam Utility subscription
- Purchase by another authorized card user
- Temporary payment authorization
Review:
- MyCanon order history
- My Subscriptions
- Repair records
- Email receipts
- Household purchases
Contact Canon to identify a direct transaction. Notify the bank or card issuer promptly if the completed charge remains unauthorized.
Canon Privacy and Data Requests
Canon’s Privacy Center provides policies and request options for applicable U.S. consumers.
Requests may involve:
- Access to personal information
- Correction
- Deletion
- Cookie choices
- Targeted advertising preferences
- Sale or sharing opt-outs
A privacy request does not automatically:
- Cancel an online order
- Cancel PIXMA Print Plan
- Close a repair case
- Deactivate CarePAK
- Unregister a product
Do not email identity documents or private photographs to an unofficial support address.
How to Escalate a Canon Complaint
- Identify the exact product and support group.
- Register the product in MyCanon.
- Call the applicable Canon support number.
- Provide the model, serial number and proof of purchase privately.
- Ask for a case or service-request number.
- Save support messages, photographs, estimates and tracking details.
- Request the warranty, return or repair decision in writing.
- Ask for supervisory review when the first response does not address the documented issue.
- Contact the retailer separately when it sold the product.
- Use the CarePAK escalation process when a service plan controls the claim.
- Use the privacy process when the complaint involves personal information.
- Send concise written corporate correspondence to Canon U.S.A., Inc., One Canon Park, Melville, NY 11747, when normal support remains unresolved.
The headquarters number at 1-631-330-5000 is not a substitute for technical support, the Canon Online Store, an authorized dealer or the repair department.
A review submitted to CustomerServiceNumbers.com does not contact Canon, register a product, cancel a subscription, start a repair, approve warranty coverage, issue an RMA or provide a refund.
Canon Customer Service Reviews and Complaints
CustomerServiceNumbers.com currently has no published Canon customer reviews. The current rating is 0 out of 5 based on zero reviews.
There is not enough CSN review data to identify a current positive or negative customer-service trend.
Future reviews may help readers understand experiences involving:
- MyCanon product registration
- Telephone technical support
- Printer installation
- Camera and lens support
- Driver downloads
- Warranty claims
- Repair estimates
- Canon Online Store orders
- Returns and RMAs
- CarePAK claims
- PIXMA Print Plan billing
- Fake support incidents
- Complaint escalation
Because no Canon reviews have been submitted to CSN, statements about what customers usually praise or complain about would be speculative.
