Best Gerber Support Route by Issue

  • Product-quality complaint: Call 1-800-4-GERBER or use the Gerber contact form and provide the UPC and manufacturing code.
  • Damaged or unusual food: Stop using the affected product, save the packaging and contact Gerber.
  • Recall question: Compare the exact product, package size, batch code and best-before date with the official Gerber or FDA notice.
  • Retail purchase refund: Start with the store or website where the Gerber product was purchased unless an official recall gives different instructions.
  • MyGerber question: Use Gerber’s account and 24/7 expert-support resources.
  • Coupon or promotion: Contact Gerber with the specific offer and expiration information.
  • Good Start infant formula: Use Good Start / Perrigo support rather than assuming ordinary Gerber baby-food support handles the formula.

Information to Have Before Contacting Gerber

Gerber’s current online contact form specifically asks for product-identification information when a customer reports an issue.

Have the following available:

  • Exact product name
  • UPC from the package
  • Manufacturing or MFG code
  • Best-before or expiration date when applicable
  • Package size
  • Purchase date
  • Retailer where the product was purchased
  • Receipt when available
  • Photos of the product and packaging when useful
  • A clear description of what happened

Keep the package and remaining product until Gerber explains whether either is needed for its investigation.

How to Report a Gerber Product Complaint

Contact Gerber promptly when a sealed Gerber food appears damaged, contaminated, improperly packaged or different from what is expected.

Possible product concerns can include:

  • Damaged or leaking packaging
  • Broken seal
  • Unexpected object or material
  • Unusual appearance, smell or consistency
  • Missing product from a multipack
  • Incorrect item in the package
  • Packaging or labeling problem

For a suspected product-quality issue:

  1. Stop using the product if there is a possible safety concern.
  2. Keep the package, UPC and manufacturing code.
  3. Take photographs when appropriate.
  4. Call 1-800-443-7237 or use the official contact form.
  5. Ask for a case or reference number.
  6. Follow Gerber’s instructions concerning disposal, return or additional documentation.

Do not mail opened baby food or another product to Gerber unless the company specifically asks you to do so.

Current Gerber Recall Information

Parents should verify recall information using Gerber or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration rather than relying on social-media posts or undated articles.

In January 2026, Gerber announced a voluntary nationwide recall of certain Gerber Arrowroot Biscuits 5.5 oz because affected batches could contain pieces of soft plastic and/or paper from an ingredient supplier.

The recall affects only specified batch codes produced between July and September 2025.

Gerber and FDA instruct customers with affected packages to:

  • Not feed the affected biscuits to a child
  • Check the 10-digit batch code on the back of the package
  • Return affected product to the retailer for a refund
  • Call 1-800-4-GERBER with questions

See the official Gerber Arrowroot Biscuits Recall Notice for the affected batch codes and best-before dates.

Recall Warning: If a Gerber product matches an official recall notice, follow the instructions in that notice rather than continuing to use the product or relying on a general return policy.

Gerber Soothe N Chew Recall

Gerber also recalled and permanently discontinued all batches of Soothe N Chew Teething Sticks in 2025 because of a potential choking hazard.

The recall included:

  • Gerber Soothe N Chew Strawberry Apple Teething Sticks
  • Gerber Soothe N Chew Banana Teething Sticks

Gerber instructed consumers not to feed those products to children and to return them to the retailer for a refund.

Other Gerber teething products were not included in that specific recall.

See Gerber’s official Soothe N Chew Recall Information for details.

Gerber.com No Longer Sells Products Directly

Gerber changed its online shopping model in June 2025.

Gerber products are no longer sold directly through Gerber.com. Instead, Gerber directs shoppers to retail partners that sell its products online and in stores.

This means most current purchase issues involving:

  • Delivery
  • Wrong item shipped
  • Missing package
  • Retail price
  • Store refunds
  • Online-order cancellations

should begin with the retailer that accepted the order.

Contact Gerber separately when the concern involves the product itself, such as quality, packaging, ingredients, a recall or manufacturing issue.

Gerber Baby Food vs. Good Start Infant Formula

The Gerber brand structure has changed, and parents should use the correct support route.

Nestlé continues to own and operate Gerber’s core U.S. baby-food business, including products such as:

  • Baby-food purees
  • Infant cereal
  • Baby and toddler snacks
  • Meals
  • Beverages

However, Perrigo acquired the U.S. and Canadian rights to the Good Start infant-formula business in 2022.

Current formulas are marketed as Good Start | Dr. Brown’s.

For Good Start formula product concerns, use:

Do not assume that the Gerber baby-food customer-service number is the correct route for a current Good Start formula complaint.

Gerber WIC Products

Gerber participates in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, commonly called WIC.

The Gerber website currently provides state-specific tools to identify eligible Gerber products.

Questions involving WIC approval can depend on:

  • State
  • Product
  • Package size
  • Current state contract
  • Benefit period

If a Gerber product is rejected during a WIC purchase, check the exact product and size against the current state-approved list before assuming there is an account or register error.

MyGerber Customer Support

MyGerber provides parents with personalized content, offers and access to Gerber experts.

Gerber currently promotes 24/7 access to MyGerber experts.

MyGerber support can help with general feeding and product questions, but healthcare decisions should still be discussed with a pediatrician or other qualified healthcare professional.

For account trouble, use the Gerber account and Contact Us tools rather than creating multiple accounts.

Gerber Customer Service Reviews and Complaints

CustomerServiceNumbers.com currently displays a 3.0 out of 5 rating based on 2 Gerber reviews.

Both reviews were submitted in 2014:

  • October 2014: A reviewer suggested that Gerber place baby-food vending machines in locations such as malls, airports, parks and transportation centers.
  • August 2014: A reviewer asked whether more than one Gerber coupon could be used at the same time.

Neither review describes a detailed interaction with Gerber customer service or the outcome of a product complaint.

Because the page contains only two older submissions, there is not enough firsthand CustomerServiceNumbers.com feedback to identify reliable current trends involving product quality, customer service, pricing, availability or refunds.

How to Escalate a Gerber Customer Service Complaint

  1. Call Gerber at 1-800-443-7237 or submit the official contact form.
  2. Provide the product name, UPC, manufacturing code and purchase information.
  3. Ask for a case number.
  4. Keep the product and packaging when the complaint involves quality or safety.
  5. Save photographs, receipts and customer-service correspondence.
  6. For a retailer order or ordinary return, contact the retailer separately.
  7. For a recalled product, follow the exact official recall instructions.
  8. Follow up through the existing case if the matter remains unresolved.
Product Complaint Tip: Gerber’s UPC and manufacturing code can help identify exactly when and where a product was made. Keep those codes, the package and photographs until the company finishes reviewing the complaint.
