IPL Customer Service Issues

IPL, This has been one of the most disappointing and overpriced utility services I’ve ever experienced. We experience frequent power surges and outages, and the repeated interruptions completely erased the contents of my DVR—including nearly 80 hours of irreplaceable videos. Every time I contact customer service, I receive the same response: “We’re sorry.” An apology doesn’t restore those memories or address the ongoing reliability issues. On top of that, my electric bill has nearly doubled over the past eight years. It used to average around $100 per month, and now it’s close to $200, even though my electricity usage has remained about the same. As a customer, I expect reliable service and fair pricing. Instead, I’ve experienced recurring outages, increasing costs, and little confidence that these problems will be addressed. If you’re considering moving to Indianapolis, be aware that this is the electric utility many residents rely on. My experience has been one of rising costs and disappointing service, and I believe prospective customers should know what to expect.
