La Quinta Customer Service, Reservations and Complaints

Contact La Quinta by Wyndham for help with a reservation, cancellation, hotel charge, refund, Wyndham Rewards account, missing receipt, accessibility request, or complaint about a recent stay. The correct support route depends on whether the issue belongs to the individual hotel, La Quinta reservations, Wyndham Customer Care, Wyndham Rewards, or a third-party booking company.

La Quinta Customer Service Information

La Quinta is a hotel brand owned by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Many La Quinta properties are independently owned and operated under franchise agreements, so some complaints require contact with both the individual hotel and Wyndham Customer Care.

Choose the Correct La Quinta Support Route

  • New reservation: Call 1-800-753-3757, book through the official La Quinta website, or contact the selected hotel.
  • Existing reservation: Use the confirmation email, retrieve the reservation online, call reservations, or contact the hotel.
  • Cancellation: Review the cancellation deadline and rate terms before canceling online, by telephone, or through the hotel.
  • Room or property complaint: Contact the front desk or manager while the problem can still be inspected and corrected.
  • Post-stay complaint: Call Customer Care at 1-800-466-1589 or submit the official stay-feedback form.
  • Billing or receipt problem: Contact the hotel that processed the charge.
  • Wyndham Rewards issue: Call 1-866-996-7937 or use the Wyndham Rewards Help Center.
  • Third-party booking: Contact the travel website, travel advisor, airline package provider, or credit-card portal that accepted the reservation or payment.
  • Lost item: Contact the specific La Quinta property directly.

Important La Quinta Contact Changes

Outdated information warning: La Quinta Returns was replaced by Wyndham Rewards in 2019. The former La Quinta Returns number, 1-800-642-4258, and the older Customer Care number, 1-800-642-4241, should not be treated as current La Quinta support numbers. Use the current reservation, Customer Care, and Wyndham Rewards numbers listed above.

La Quinta also no longer maintains an independent corporate headquarters in Irving, Texas. Corporate matters are now handled through Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Current headquarters information is available through the La Quinta Corporate Office page.

Information to Have Ready

Prepare the details that apply to the reservation, stay, charge, or complaint:

  • Guest’s name as shown on the reservation
  • Reservation confirmation number
  • La Quinta property name, city, and state
  • Check-in and checkout dates
  • Room number for a current or completed stay
  • Booking channel or travel website used
  • Rate type and cancellation deadline
  • Receipt, hotel folio, or disputed charge amount
  • Wyndham Rewards number when applicable
  • Names or titles of hotel employees already contacted
  • Photographs, emails, or other relevant documentation
  • The resolution being requested

Finding and Contacting a La Quinta Hotel

Use the official La Quinta hotel locator to find the property’s direct telephone number, address, amenities, accessibility information, pet policy, parking information, and check-in details.

Contacting the hotel directly is normally the fastest route for:

  • Room readiness and early check-in
  • Housekeeping or maintenance concerns
  • Parking and local transportation
  • Breakfast hours and available amenities
  • Pool or fitness-center availability
  • Pet fees and restrictions
  • Packages delivered to the hotel
  • Items left in a room
  • Receipts and billing information
  • Deposits and incidental holds

Booking or Changing a La Quinta Reservation

La Quinta reservations can be made through WyndhamHotels.com, the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts app, the selected hotel, or the La Quinta reservation line at 1-800-753-3757.

Before changing an existing reservation, review the original rate and cancellation terms. Changing the dates, number of guests, room type, hotel, or payment information can affect the rate, availability, deposit requirement, or cancellation deadline.

Ask for an updated confirmation showing the agreed dates, rate, room type, guest information, and cancellation policy.

Canceling a La Quinta Reservation

Eligible reservations can be retrieved through the La Quinta reservation lookup page. Guests can also contact reservations or the individual hotel.

Cancellation deadlines vary by hotel, dates, rate type, and booking channel. An advance-purchase or nonrefundable reservation may have different terms from a flexible rate. Cancel before the stated deadline and retain the cancellation confirmation.

If the reservation was made through Expedia, Booking.com, Hotels.com, Priceline, a travel advisor, an airline package, an employer portal, or a credit-card travel service, contact that company. It may control changes, cancellations, credits, and refunds.

La Quinta Refunds

Refund eligibility depends on the hotel, rate terms, cancellation deadline, booking channel, and whether the payment was collected by the hotel, Wyndham, or another company.

For a direct hotel payment, contact the La Quinta property with the reservation confirmation, cancellation confirmation, payment date, amount, and last four digits of the payment method. Ask which company is processing the refund and the expected processing time.

A pending card authorization is not always a completed charge. The hotel and card issuer can explain whether a transaction is pending, released, reversed, or fully posted.

Billing Errors, Deposits and Unexpected Charges

Contact the property first about:

  • Incorrect room rates
  • Duplicate charges
  • Cancellation or no-show fees
  • Parking or pet fees
  • Deposits and incidental holds
  • Damage or smoking charges
  • Restaurant or market purchases
  • Missing refunds
  • Incorrect taxes
  • Missing or inaccurate hotel folios

Wyndham’s stay-feedback form states that receipts and billing information, including payment-card details, are available only from the property. Ask the hotel for an itemized folio or written explanation.

If the hotel does not resolve the concern, call Customer Care at 1-800-466-1589 and request a case number.

Room, Cleanliness and Service Complaints

Report an active problem to the front desk as soon as possible. This allows the hotel to inspect the condition, arrange housekeeping or maintenance, discuss another available room, or correct an amenity problem.

Common stay concerns may involve:

  • Room cleanliness
  • Mold, pests, odors, or damaged furnishings
  • No hot water, heat, or air conditioning
  • Noise or security concerns
  • Missing breakfast or advertised amenities
  • Pool, elevator, or fitness-center closures
  • Employee or manager conduct
  • Parking or pet-fee disputes
  • Accessible-room features

For a health or safety concern, document the condition and notify hotel management immediately. Contact emergency services when there is an immediate threat to health or safety.

How to Escalate a La Quinta Complaint

  1. Start with the hotel’s front desk or the department responsible for the problem.
  2. Ask for the manager on duty or general manager if the issue remains unresolved.
  3. Request a case number, written response, or notation on the reservation.
  4. Call La Quinta and Wyndham Customer Care at 1-800-466-1589.
  5. Submit the La Quinta stay-feedback form.
  6. Follow up with the case number, hotel details, documentation, and requested resolution.

State the resolution clearly, such as a corrected folio, refund review, Wyndham Rewards adjustment, manager response, room-charge correction, or written explanation.

Lost Items and Hotel Receipts

Contact the specific La Quinta hotel if an item was left in a room, lobby, parking area, meeting space, or other part of the property. Provide the guest’s name, room number, stay dates, checkout date, item description, and last known location.

The individual hotel also controls receipts and billing records. Contact the property directly for a missing folio, itemized receipt, corrected receipt, tax documentation, or payment information.

Wyndham Rewards Support

La Quinta participates in Wyndham Rewards. For help with enrollment, missing points, qualifying stays, redemptions, elite status, account access, or member benefits, call 1-866-996-7937 or use the Wyndham Rewards Help Center.

Keep the reservation confirmation and hotel folio until the stay and points appear correctly. Do not post a Wyndham Rewards number, account email, password, security answer, or verification code in a public review.

Accessibility Requests

Accessible features vary by hotel and room type. Contact the individual La Quinta property before arrival to confirm the specific features required, such as an accessible route, roll-in shower, accessible bathtub, visual notification device, accessible parking, pool lift, or hearing-accessible room.

For difficulty accessing Wyndham’s website or online information, email accessibility@wyndham.com or call general Wyndham assistance at 1-800-407-9832.

Pet Policies and Hotel Amenities

Many La Quinta hotels accept pets, but not every property has the same policy. Fees, weight limits, number of animals, accepted animal types, restricted rooms, and local rules can vary.

Breakfast, parking, pools, fitness centers, airport transportation, laundry facilities, and other amenities also vary. Confirm an important amenity directly with the hotel before booking.

Reservation and Account Security

Use WyndhamHotels.com, the official Wyndham app, the hotel’s verified property page, or a telephone number listed on the official La Quinta contact page. Be cautious of sponsored support numbers, fake reservation websites, refund messages, and callers demanding payment by gift card, wire transfer, cryptocurrency, or remote computer access.

Do not publish a confirmation number, room number during an active stay, Wyndham Rewards number, payment information, identification, home address, password, or account-security answer in a review.

La Quinta Customer Reviews and Complaints

Customer experiences can vary because many La Quinta hotels are independently owned and operated. A helpful review distinguishes between the response from the individual property, Wyndham Customer Care, Wyndham Rewards, and any third-party booking company.

Useful reviews mention the property location, approximate stay date, type of issue, support route used, response time, and whether the problem was resolved. Avoid posting private reservation, payment, account, medical, or identification information.

Galveston Beach TX Disappointing Stay

July 3, 2016

La Quinta, My husband and I stayed at this hotel in Galveston Beach at the East hotel and had a terrible stay. On Sat June 26, the fire alarm went off at 7:40 am for about 14 minutes and nothing was wrong in the hotel, there was no fire. After they finally turned it off and we went back to sleep for 30 minutes it went off again for another 10 minutes. Again no fire or reason given for it going off. On the very next day the 27th our last day to sleep in the fire alarm went off again at 8:00am for about 8 minutes. I was so out done and sorry that we had stayed there. I feel like they didn’t care and just wanted my money for a visit that I was not happy with at all.

LA Quinta Disappointing Charges

September 10, 2015

LA Quinta has a habit of charging my credit card up to 5 times a day. When I check in I explain you are only allowed to charge my card one time per week and still they think they have to charge me multiple times daily. This is absolutely absurd they are about to lose all our travel business.
