Billing problem, unwanted renewal, delayed filing, or missing document? Start with the LegalZoom contact route that matches the issue. Using the correct number or account tool can reduce transfers, but customer service cannot extend a court, tax, state filing, or legal-response deadline.

Urgent legal or filing deadline? Do not wait for a customer service reply. Read the official notice, contact the court, tax agency, secretary of state, or other issuing office, and consult a qualified attorney when appropriate. LegalZoom customer service cannot give legal advice or extend a deadline. If registered agent service is involved, avoid a coverage gap: appoint a replacement and complete the required state filing before canceling the existing service.
Which LegalZoom support route should you use?
Order status or a delayed filing
Sign in to My Account and review open and completed orders first. Note the order number, product or filing name, date submitted, state or agency involved, and the latest status shown. If a government office has already received the filing, ask LegalZoom for the submission date, tracking or confirmation number, and any rejection or correction notice.
A pending LegalZoom status does not necessarily change an outside deadline. For time-sensitive matters, independently confirm the status with the relevant government office. Do not rely only on an estimated completion date.
Unexpected charge, renewal, or subscription billing
Open My Account and check Payment History. Match the amount and date against active subscriptions and registered agent service. If the charge does not appear there, LegalZoom directs customers to (888) 310-0151. Ask the representative to identify the exact product, billing period, renewal date, and account or business connected to the charge.
If you want a service stopped, request written confirmation of the cancellation and its effective date. Save screenshots of the subscription page and any confirmation email. Canceling a subscription does not automatically reverse a completed charge, withdraw a government filing, or terminate registered agent status on a state record.
Canceling a LegalZoom order or subscription
LegalZoom lists (800) 773-0888 for order cancellation. For many subscriptions, sign in, open Account, choose Manage Payments, select the subscription, and choose Cancel. LegalZoom also lists (888) 310-0151 for subscription cancellation, with published phone hours of Monday–Friday, 5 a.m.–7 p.m. Pacific.
Ask whether work has already been completed or submitted to a government agency. Refund eligibility can depend on the product, timing, completion status, and whether filing fees have already been paid. Review the current LegalZoom Satisfaction Guarantee rather than assuming every cancellation receives a full refund.
Canceling registered agent service
Registered agent service needs extra care because the agent may receive service of process and official notices for a business. LegalZoom says customers should appoint a new registered agent and file the change with the state before canceling. After the state accepts the change, upload proof through My Account and follow the cancellation process.
Ask LegalZoom to confirm the last date it will act as agent, whether any notices are waiting, and whether a renewal or past-due amount remains. Independently check the public business record with the secretary of state or comparable filing office. A billing cancellation alone may not update that record.
EIN, document, or filing correction
LegalZoom lists (800) 773-0888 for an EIN discrepancy. Have the LegalZoom order number and the exact non-sensitive description of the mismatch ready. Do not email or post an EIN, Social Security number, tax document, identity document, estate-planning document, court filing, or account password.
For another document error, identify the page, field, and correction needed without publishing the document itself. Ask whether LegalZoom will correct the document, whether a new government filing is required, who will pay any additional filing fee, and how the correction affects timing.
Protect your privacy. Never put an SSN, EIN, date of birth, driver’s license number, payment card, bank information, login credentials, order number, court document, tax form, home address, or confidential legal facts in a public review. Share sensitive information only through a secure channel you have confirmed belongs to LegalZoom or the appropriate government office.
How to prepare before contacting LegalZoom
Good records make it easier to explain the problem and escalate it. Before calling, collect:
- The email address on the account and the LegalZoom order number
- The product or service name and the business or filing name
- The order, renewal, charge, or submission date
- The amount charged and a redacted statement screenshot when relevant
- The state, court, tax agency, or government office involved
- Copies of prior replies, confirmation messages, and status screenshots
- The specific outcome requested, such as a status update, cancellation, correction, document copy, or refund review
Keep a call log with the date, time, number called, representative’s name or ID, case number, promised action, and follow-up date. After the call, request written confirmation. If the first representative cannot resolve the issue, ask for a supervisor or escalation case and a realistic response time.
LegalZoom address and formal notices
LegalZoom’s current Terms of Use identify LegalZoom.com, Inc. at 954 Villa Street, Mountain View, CA 94041. Do not assume that mailing a cancellation, payment dispute, lawsuit, or other formal notice to a general business address satisfies a contract or legal requirement. Read the current LegalZoom Terms of Use and follow the instructions that apply to the specific notice. Consider legal advice when rights or deadlines are at stake.
LegalZoom reviews and complaints
This CustomerServiceNumbers.com page currently displays 0 out of 5 stars based on 0 reviews and states that there are no reviews yet. Because no customer reviews are visible, there are no review dates or recurring complaint themes to summarize.
If you add a review, describe the service used, what happened, the support route tried, and whether the company resolved the issue. Leave out personal, financial, account, business-record, and confidential legal information. A public review is not a secure support request and does not preserve a filing or legal deadline.
