Leupold Customer Service, Warranty and Repair Support

Need help with a Leupold riflescope, binocular, spotting scope, rangefinder, red dot, order, return, warranty claim or repair? Start with 1-800-LEUPOLD / 1-800-538-7653. Leupold uses the same main number for customer service and technical support, but the departments have different operating hours.

How to Contact Leupold Customer Service

Choose the correct Leupold support route:

  • Product will not operate correctly: Review Leupold’s troubleshooting information or call Technical Service.
  • Warranty repair: Start through the return and warranty service page before shipping the product.
  • Leupold.com return: Sign in and initiate the return from the eligible order.
  • Retailer purchase: Contact the retailer about its return policy or call Leupold when the concern involves warranty service.
  • Missing external part: Call Technical Service to ask whether the part can be mailed and installed by the user.
  • Suspected counterfeit: Record the serial number and call Leupold for assistance checking authenticity.
  • Custom Dial System: Use Leupold’s CDS ordering page for eligible scopes and additional custom dials.

Do not ship a product without reviewing the current service instructions. Record the serial number, remove accessories, include the requested service information and use a trackable shipping method. Do not post product serial numbers, order numbers, addresses, payment details or private correspondence in a public review.

Leupold Warranty and Repair Service

Before sending an optic to Leupold, review the relevant troubleshooting information or speak with Technical Service. A representative may be able to resolve certain problems without requiring the product to be shipped.

Leupold’s current warranty-service process instructs customers to:

  1. Remove rings, scope covers, lens covers, straps and other accessories.
  2. Record the product’s serial number and keep it for reference.
  3. Complete the current warranty or service request.
  4. Include all information requested by Leupold.
  5. Use a trackable parcel service.
  6. Save the tracking number and service documentation.

Unless Leupold provides different instructions for the request, the product-service destination is:

Leupold Product Service
14400 NW Greenbrier Parkway
Beaverton, OR 97006

Leupold currently posts an approximate warranty-service turnaround of four to six weeks. Replacement delays may be longer for certain binocular and rangefinder products. Check the current service page before shipping because turnaround estimates can change.

Leupold Lifetime Guarantee

Leupold states that eligible riflescopes, mounts, red dots, binoculars and spotting scopes are protected by its lifetime performance guarantee. For these eligible products, Leupold says:

  • The customer does not have to be the original owner.
  • A warranty card is not required.
  • Proof of ownership is not normally required.
  • There is no stated time limit.
  • Leupold will repair or replace a qualifying product that does not perform.

These terms do not apply equally to every Leupold product or every type of damage. Review the official Leupold guarantee for the product involved.

Electronic Rangefinder Warranty

The electronic components in RX rangefinders and BX rangefinding binoculars are covered by Leupold’s limited five-year electronics guarantee. The five-year period begins on the purchase date, and proof of purchase may be required.

A rangefinding binocular may therefore have lifetime coverage for its eligible optical components while its electronic components have a separate five-year warranty.

Performance Eyewear Warranty

Leupold Performance Eyewear carries a limited lifetime guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear, scratched lenses, accidental damage and third-party prescription alterations are not included as manufacturing defects.

Warranty Exclusions

Leupold states that its warranties do not apply when a product has been modified, misused or damaged through an accident, abuse or misapplication. Contact Leupold Product Service before allowing an unaffiliated party to repair or modify the optic.

Product registration is not required to validate Leupold’s warranty, although customers may register eligible products through their Leupold account.

Leupold.com Returns and Refunds

Leupold’s direct-purchase return policy applies to items purchased from Leupold.com. Eligible items may generally be returned within 30 days of the UPS delivery-confirmation date when they remain new, unused and unmounted.

  • Start the return through the order in the customer’s Leupold.com account.
  • The customer is normally responsible for return shipping.
  • Use a trackable shipping method.
  • Original shipping and handling charges are generally nonrefundable.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment card.
  • Leupold states that an accepted return credit may take approximately five to ten days to reach the payment card.
  • An exchange is not automatically shipped; a new order must be placed when another item is wanted.

If a Leupold.com order arrived defective, damaged or incorrect, contact customerservice@leupold.com before returning it. Different shipping arrangements may apply in those situations.

Products purchased from an authorized dealer are subject to that seller’s return policy. Contact the retailer about a purchase return or Leupold about a qualifying warranty problem.

Review the complete Leupold shipping and return policy before initiating a return.

Leupold Technical Support and Troubleshooting

Technical Service can assist with performance problems involving Leupold riflescopes, binoculars, rangefinders, spotting scopes and red dots. Have the product available when calling whenever it is safe and practical to do so.

Common support questions include:

  • Riflescope will not hold zero
  • Reticle or adjustment concern
  • Fogging, moisture or image-quality problem
  • Rangefinder will not power on
  • Rangefinder displays an unexpected distance
  • Missing eyecup, battery cap or other external part

Technical Service may be able to provide certain user-installable external parts. Internal components, lenses and other integral parts generally require product service.

Leupold Custom Dial System and Custom Shop

Customers with an eligible Custom Dial System scope can order a CDS ballistic dial through Leupold. Have the scope’s serial number and the requested ballistic information ready.

Order or review a Leupold CDS ballistic dial.

Leupold currently states that its broader Custom Shop remains closed. Custom Dial System orders remain available even while other Custom Shop services are unavailable. Check the Custom Shop status page for changes.

How to Check a Suspected Counterfeit Leupold Product

Counterfeit Leupold riflescopes may display copied branding, packaging and serial numbers. Counterfeit products are not manufactured or serviced by Leupold and are not covered by the Leupold guarantee.

If authenticity is in question:

  1. Do not rely only on the packaging or exterior markings.
  2. Record the product’s complete serial number.
  3. Save the seller’s name, listing, receipt and photographs.
  4. Call 1-800-LEUPOLD and ask whether Leupold can verify the serial number.
  5. Contact the marketplace or payment provider promptly if the item appears counterfeit.

Review Leupold’s official counterfeit warning before purchasing an optic from an unfamiliar seller.
