MLB Customer Service: MLB.TV, Tickets and Shop Support

MLB customers may need help with an MLB.TV subscription, a blackout message, the MLB app, the MLB Ballpark app, mobile tickets, an MLB Shop order, an auction purchase, account access, or a privacy concern. These services do not all use the same support department. Streaming and digital products are handled through MLB customer service, tickets are generally handled by the applicable club, and MLB Shop merchandise is fulfilled and supported by Fanatics.

How to Contact MLB Customer Service

The former 1-866-274-9053 number is not currently published on MLB’s official support pages and should not be treated as the primary customer-service number.

MLB Customer-Service Hours

MLB does not publish one schedule for every product and service. Current MLB Ballpark app support information lists telephone assistance Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, with support remaining available until the conclusion of the last weeknight game.

Streaming-season hours, holiday closings, MLB Shop chat availability, club ticket-office hours, and postseason schedules can differ. Check the applicable support page before calling.

MLB Corporate Office

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball
1271 Avenue of the Americas
New York, NY 10020
1-212-931-7800

This is MLB’s corporate and Commissioner’s Office address. It is not a ticket office, retail store, merchandise-return center or direct streaming-refund department.

MLB consists of 30 member clubs in the United States and Canada. Robert D. Manfred, Jr. is the current Commissioner of Baseball. MLB Advanced Media, L.P. operates MLB’s digital properties and related online services.

Information to Gather Before Contacting MLB

  • The email address connected to the MLB account
  • The subscription or service involved
  • The purchase or renewal date
  • The general charge amount
  • The team, game or ticket account involved
  • The MLB Shop order number, provided privately
  • The device, operating system and app version
  • The internet or television provider
  • The exact error or blackout message
  • Any existing support-case number
  • The requested cancellation, refund, ticket correction or other resolution

Do not publish passwords, ticket barcodes, authentication codes, redemption codes, complete order numbers, payment information, home addresses or private support correspondence.

MLB.TV and MLB+ Subscriptions

MLB.TV provides live and archived out-of-market Major League games, subject to blackout and other restrictions. Current packages can also include MLB Network, live audio, Minor League games, MLB Big Inning and other programming.

MLB+ provides features such as live game audio, selected video programming, MLB Network and other digital content. The exact features, price and renewal schedule depend on the selected package.

MLB.TV Automatic Renewal

MLB.TV seasonal subscriptions generally renew annually on or around March 1 at the then-current full-season price.

Monthly MLB.TV subscriptions generally recur monthly through October and can renew again around March 1 for the following season. MLB+ monthly subscriptions renew each month, while yearly MLB+ plans renew around the anniversary of the original purchase.

Customers should review Manage Subscriptions before the next billing period. A prior-year promotional price does not guarantee the same future renewal price.

How to Cancel MLB.TV

  1. Sign in to the MLB account used for the purchase.
  2. Open the account’s subscription or Manage Subscriptions section.
  3. Select the MLB.TV or MLB+ plan.
  4. Follow the cancellation instructions.
  5. Continue until confirmation appears.
  6. Save the confirmation email or screenshot.

Customers may also contact customerservice@mlb.com. Cancel before the next billing period. Deleting the MLB app, signing out or removing a device does not cancel the subscription.

Subscriptions Purchased Through Another Company

A subscription billed through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, ESPN, a television provider, mobile provider or another partner may need to be canceled through that provider.

Check the payment statement and subscription settings to identify the company that processed the charge. MLB can help with product access, but it may be unable to refund or cancel billing controlled by another platform.

MLB.TV Refund Policy

MLB’s published subscription-refund policy requires a qualifying request within five days of the original subscription purchase or within five days of an annual automatic renewal.

MLB does not provide partial or prorated subscription refunds and limits customers to one refund during a Major League Baseball season. The standard policy does not promise refunds for ordinary monthly renewal charges.

To request a refund, use the account-management tools or email customerservice@mlb.com. Include the account email, subscription, charge date and requested resolution without sending complete payment-card information.

MLB.TV Blackout Restrictions

MLB.TV is primarily an out-of-market service. A paid subscription does not guarantee live access to every game.

A game may be unavailable because of:

  • A local home-television territory restriction
  • A national broadcast or streaming exclusivity
  • Postseason rights
  • An international rights restriction
  • The customer’s detected physical location

Blackout restrictions apply based on the customer’s location, not simply the team selected or whether the club is playing at home or away.

If MLB appears to have identified the customer’s location incorrectly, call 1-866-244-2291. Customers may be asked to disable location-masking tools, confirm device permissions, restart the app or provide internet-provider information.

MLB App and Device Troubleshooting

Before contacting support about streaming:

  • Confirm the MLB account has an active subscription.
  • Update the MLB app and device operating system.
  • Restart the app, device, modem and router.
  • Sign out and sign back in.
  • Test another supported device or network.
  • Confirm location permissions are enabled.
  • Check whether the game is subject to a blackout.
  • Check MLB’s service-status information.

A subscription does not correct a television-provider outage, device-manufacturer problem or internet-service failure.

MLB Ballpark App Support

The MLB Ballpark app provides mobile ticket access, stadium information, check-in tools, club loyalty features and other ballpark services.

For an app login or technical problem, contact MLB digital support. For ticket inventory, ticket ownership, transfers, entry barcodes, accessible seating or a game-day ticket problem, contact the applicable club’s box office.

Do not publish or send a screenshot containing an active rotating ticket barcode.

MLB Ticket Support

MLB directs ticket customers to the club involved. Each club controls its own ticket-office hours, account policies, accessible-seating procedures, exchanges, postponement rules and game-specific remedies.

Before contacting the club, gather:

  • The club and game date
  • The ticket account email
  • The purchase platform
  • The seating section and quantity
  • The delivery or transfer status
  • The general order information

If the tickets were purchased from Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, StubHub or another resale platform, that platform may control payment, delivery guarantees and refunds.

Postponed, Rescheduled or Canceled Games

Ticket remedies depend on the club, event, purchase source and official game-status announcement. A postponed game may be rescheduled rather than canceled, and the original ticket may remain valid.

Do not assume that MLB central customer service can issue a club-ticket refund. Review the official club announcement and contact the ticket seller shown on the receipt.

MLB Shop Customer Service

The official MLB Shop is operated by Fanatics. Use MLBShop.com for:

  • Order tracking
  • Shipping questions
  • Returns and exchanges
  • Damaged or incorrect products
  • Gift cards
  • FanCash
  • Jersey Assurance
  • Personalized merchandise

MLB Shop emphasizes online self-service and chat. Merchandise questions should not normally be directed to the MLB.TV support line.

MLB Shop Returns and Exchanges

Most eligible MLB Shop merchandise currently has a 100-day return period. Products fulfilled by a Trusted Partner may have a 30-day period.

Items must generally be unworn and include the original tags and labels. Exclusions can include:

  • Personalized or customized products
  • Final-sale and clearance merchandise
  • Trading cards
  • Game-used products
  • Vintage gear
  • Venue purchases

A $9.99 return fee is normally deducted when the customer uses the provided label or QR code and requests a refund to the original payment method. The fee is waived when the return results from MLB Shop’s error.

Many eligible items can be exchanged within 60 days of delivery. Report defective, damaged or incorrect products within 45 days of the shipping date.

MLB Shop Purchases at a Stadium

Merchandise purchased at a ballpark cannot necessarily be returned through MLBShop.com. Contact the stadium store or club that completed the sale and retain the original receipt.

MLB Auctions and Authentication

Questions about merchandise or auctions offered through MLB digital properties can be directed to customerservice@mlb.com or 1-888-652-7467.

Authenticated memorabilia may include an MLB hologram with a unique number. Use MLB’s authentication database to review the recorded signing or game-use information.

Do not remove or damage an authentication hologram. A missing or altered hologram can affect verification and resale value.

MLB Privacy and Accessibility Contacts

Privacy correspondence can be mailed to MLB Advanced Media, L.P., Privacy Administrator, 1271 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10020.

How to Escalate an MLB Complaint

  1. Identify whether the problem involves MLB digital services, a club, a ticket seller, MLB Shop, an app store or an auction.
  2. Contact the organization that processed the purchase.
  3. Provide account and payment information only through an official private channel.
  4. Request and retain a support or case number.
  5. Save receipts, ticket records, screenshots, blackout messages and chat transcripts.
  6. Ask for supervisor review if the documented issue remains unresolved.
  7. Contact the payment provider regarding an unauthorized charge after documenting the merchant dispute.
  8. Use the corporate office only for an unresolved formal complaint, not as a substitute for time-sensitive ticket or subscription support.
