ge money is a scam. I say this because I have a very good credit,I always pay my bills on time. This day I went to discount tires to purchase tires for my car. I ask the manager if they offer 0% financing. So I fill out the application and I notice it is gemoney bank. I talk over to the manager that its good it is ge money bank. So, I keep on filling out the application for credit. When I am done the manager started putting the details in the computer, I was really upset he told me I am disapprove. for applyinbg to ge money bank. So I was really mad I talk over to the phone and I said how come I was turn down for no reason. I hang up the phone and told to the manager I will use my other card. This ge money bank is the worst credit company and the customer service were all from India. I told to cancel my account and I will never use this damm company.

a payment that I sent got lost in the mail was charged $39.99 plus 8.90 int fee, replaced the lost check, told them a stop payment was made on the original lost check, GE Money tried to cash the check with the stop payment, my bank of course would not release the funds, GE Money bank charged me $39.99 for a returned check, they won't issues me a refund for that amount, I have cancelled the account and will NEVER do business with any business that uses GE money bank

Wow. All these comments scare me. I knew I was taking a chance to buy a new TV in Austin, TX (at Conns Electronics) but the zero finance fees for 36 mos was a deal I could not pass up. I also knew that the minute I pay 1 hour late, that the interest would turn to 29.99% so I had to prepare a foolproof way of never letting any payment late. First problem: Communicating with G.E. Bank's customer service dept had to be gotten online, since the store would not give me detailed contact information on the finance agency. Once I contacted G.E. Money Bank by phone and waited for several recordings, I was told that billing would start the following month with due dates after the 20th. My account number could also not be disclosed for security purposes (the store did not provide this information either)so now I am waiting for the bill. I just hope it gets here with ample time to make payments ontime.

Let me tell you I had a Lowes Card that I paid for ON TIME...and when I went to pay it off in 2009 (500.00) a month later they cancelled the card! Then...I have a Wal mart card again PAYED ON TIME...I go to make a payment and they reduce my credit line down to 100.00 just because I asked for a Credit Line Increase!!!!!! Now when I was fired in 2008 (Dec) I had to make choices and I paid my Lowes off and kept up my payments on Wal-Mart, they do these "Periodic Credit Checks" and WHAM you are either cancelled or credit line reduced down to almost not worth having the card. I have other cards that are paid on time and ones that I am getting paid off from being unemployed, but I think it's unfair to penalize when someone in this economy is doing good at paying their bills, debts etc...

These pre-paid debit cards such as Walmart Moaney cards and such that are financed thru the GE Moneybank are a joke. For no reason, or what they consider suspicious activity, they will cancell your accounts and mail refund checks to you. They will not give any options to talk to a person to find out particulars of their reasons for cancelling. They simply state the date a refund on the account was made and to call back in ten days if you dont recieve your check. I have never let my balance go below $500 ont his card for the eight months I have had it. Then suddenly, I get cancelled. This is no way to run a finance business and I wish I would have researched this a little more before I started using pre-paid debit cards. Never again!!!! I urge the readers of this forum to passs this knowledge along to friends and family in hopes that they do the same. Do not use greendot or any other pre-paid debit cards. They are all a scam and you will be inconvenienced greatly. I still have not received my refund checks and have no way to contact a person at greendot to find out why.

I don't even have an account with these stupid people. I'm 16 years old for crying out loud, and they call me 4 and 5 times a day asking for someone WHO ISN'T EVEN ME! It's impossible to get past the automated portion of the call without a social or account number, therefore I can't even tell them to stop calling me! I called using some advice I got here, and I was on hold to speak to a representative when I was told that my call could not be completed and to try again later. By the time I finally get a hold of a real person to talk to, I will a) be old enough to get an account, and b) be so angry that they'll wish they hadn't gotten the wrong number in the first place!

well tom, I couldn't agree with u more, i make a double payment every month but somehow they seem to call me and say that they haven't received my payment even though it shows on my online transaction and on my personal bank account. every call i have received have been from someone with an indian(india) accent and i can't understand them, they refuse to give me their employee number and do not act with any type of professionalism. I urge anyone who has used ge or anyone thinking about using them to do anything needed to stay away, they have hurt my credit score even though i pay ever month. i will never use them again and i will tell every person i know to never use them, the worse experience i have ever received from a business hands down

to get a person on the phone at GE Money: call 1-877-317-5544 & **PRESS 1** as soon as the prompt answers. the recording will keep asking for acct #'s etc- just ignore it. then it will give you options "for all other inquires press 6" **PRESS 6**! then it will give you options "to speak with a customer service representative press 6" again **PRESS 6**! good luck everyone- based on all the complaints here I'm going to dodge this company.

I purchased a Harley Davidson in 2004 I took out a 72 month loan with GE Money Bank. I pay every month as soon as my check is deposited in my bank then do online bill pay. GE won't accept the payment until the 4th. My late fee is assessed on the 14th. They have received every payment on he same day the 4th for the last few years yet they call me continuously from India demanding payment. The Harley was paid off early this month. I have yet to receive my title but you guessed it the calls from India keep coming. When I was able to reach a US GE money bank employee They stated that loan calls never come from India. Now when I call they can't find my account....go figure. If this is the way they treat paying customers steer clear. I can't wait to see what they did to my credit score.
