  • McDonald’s Customer Service Phone Number & App Support

If you need McDonald’s customer service, the best contact route depends on the issue. A missing item, wrong order, drive-thru complaint, mobile app payment problem, rewards issue, delivery dispute, Arch Card problem, or formal complaint may each need a different support path. The main McDonald’s customer service phone number commonly used for U.S. support is 1-800-244-6227, but many order and refund problems should start with the restaurant tied to your receipt or mobile order.

McDonald’s Customer Service Phone Number and Contact Options

Use the contact options below to reach McDonald’s for restaurant feedback, app support, food questions, gift card issues, delivery problems, and complaint escalation.

Choose the Correct McDonald’s Support Route

Before calling the McDonald’s customer service phone number, choose the route that fits your issue. This can help your complaint reach the restaurant, app support team, delivery partner, gift card team, or corporate contact route more quickly.

  • Wrong, missing, or poor-quality food: Contact the restaurant listed on your receipt first.
  • Drive-thru complaint: Ask for the restaurant manager, then submit feedback if the issue is not resolved.
  • Mobile app order problem: Check the app, save screenshots, and contact the restaurant where the order was placed.
  • Refund request: Start with the restaurant, app order route, or delivery partner connected to the purchase.
  • MyMcDonald’s Rewards issue: Use the app support route or official feedback form and include your account email.
  • McDelivery order through the McDonald’s app: Check the delivery vendor name in your order details.
  • Uber Eats or DoorDash delivery issue: Contact Uber Eats at 1-866-987-3744 or DoorDash at 1-833-510-0332 if that company handled the delivery.
  • Lost, stolen, or damaged Arch Card: Call 1-800-244-6227 immediately and follow McDonald’s replacement instructions.
  • Food allergy, ingredient, or nutrition question: Use the McDonald’s contact page or call 1-800-244-6227.
  • Formal complaint or corporate escalation: Document the issue, use the feedback form, and consider writing to McDonald’s corporate address if normal support routes do not resolve the issue.

What to Have Ready Before Contacting McDonald’s

Whether you call McDonald’s customer service, contact the restaurant, or submit a complaint online, gather the details that help support identify the order and review what happened.

  • Restaurant address, city, state, and store number if available
  • Receipt, order number, mobile order number, or delivery confirmation
  • Date and time of the visit, pickup, drive-thru, or delivery
  • Pickup method, such as front counter, curbside, table service, drive-thru, or delivery
  • McDonald’s app account email if the issue involves rewards, login, or mobile ordering
  • Delivery vendor name if the order was delivered
  • Photos of the food, packaging, receipt, or app error when helpful
  • Charge amount, payment method, and last four digits of the card if there is a billing issue
  • Names of managers, employees, or support representatives you already contacted
  • The resolution you want, such as a refund, replacement, rewards correction, manager callback, apology, or investigation

Common Reasons Customers Contact McDonald’s

Customers may contact McDonald’s for many different reasons, especially when a local restaurant, mobile order, app account, delivery order, or gift card issue has not been resolved.

  • Wrong items, missing food, incorrect drinks, or poor food quality
  • Cold food, long wait times, or drive-thru service complaints
  • Refund requests, duplicate charges, or canceled app orders
  • Mobile app login problems, payment errors, or account access issues
  • MyMcDonald’s Rewards points, deals, or offers not showing correctly
  • Delivery complaints involving missing food, late delivery, cold food, or driver issues
  • Arch Card balance, lost card, stolen card, or damaged card problems
  • Restaurant cleanliness, employee conduct, accessibility, or manager complaints
  • Food allergy, ingredient, nutrition, or menu questions
  • Franchise, local owner/operator, or corporate escalation questions

McDonald’s App, Rewards and Mobile Order Problems

McDonald’s app issues may involve payment errors, mobile orders sent to the wrong restaurant, rewards not appearing, missing points, deals that did not apply, app crashes, login problems, or an order that was charged but not fulfilled.

If your issue involves Mobile Order & Pay, save screenshots of the order, payment confirmation, app error, and restaurant selected. For many refund issues, McDonald’s directs customers to contact the restaurant where the purchase was made. If the issue appears to be an unauthorized charge, contact your bank or card issuer immediately and update your McDonald’s app password.

McDonald’s Delivery Complaints

Delivery complaints can be confusing because the order may involve McDonald’s, the local restaurant, and a third-party delivery platform. If you ordered delivery through the McDonald’s app, check the vendor name in your order details. If Uber Eats handled the order, call 1-866-987-3744. If DoorDash handled the order, call 1-833-510-0332.

For delivery orders placed directly through Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, or another delivery app, contact that platform first for driver issues, delivery tracking, missing food claims, and refund adjustments. If the complaint is about how the food was prepared, include the McDonald’s restaurant location when submitting feedback.

McDonald’s Arch Card and Gift Card Issues

McDonald’s Arch Card issues may involve lost cards, stolen cards, damaged cards, balance problems, reload issues, or replacement requests. If your Arch Card is lost or stolen, call 1-800-244-6227 as soon as possible to report the issue and ask about freezing the remaining balance.

Keep the purchase receipt, activation receipt, card number, online order number, and any supporting documents. Do not post full gift card numbers, PINs, card photos, or proof-of-purchase documents in a public review.

Fraud, Fake Support Numbers and McDonald’s Scam Warnings

Be careful when searching online for McDonald’s customer service phone number, app refund help, delivery support, job offers, or gift card assistance. Scammers may use fake McDonald’s support numbers, fake refund forms, phishing texts, delivery fee scams, or fake job offers to collect personal or payment information.

  • Use McDonalds.com, the official McDonald’s app, the official feedback form, or the restaurant locator.
  • Do not provide your full card number, password, one-time code, or app login to someone who contacts you unexpectedly.
  • Do not pay a supposed McDonald’s support agent with gift cards, cryptocurrency, wire transfer, or payment apps.
  • Watch for fake delivery texts claiming you must pay a small redelivery or refund fee.
  • If you see an unauthorized charge, contact your bank or card issuer immediately.
  • If your app account may be compromised, change your password and review recent orders and payment methods.

How to Escalate a McDonald’s Complaint

If your McDonald’s complaint is not resolved after the first contact, use a simple escalation process and keep your documentation organized.

  1. Start with the restaurant: Contact the manager at the location tied to your receipt or mobile order.
  2. Save proof: Keep your receipt, screenshots, photos, delivery confirmation, and payment record.
  3. Use the feedback form: Submit the complaint through McDonald’s official customer feedback form.
  4. Use the correct support route: Contact the delivery partner, app route, restaurant, or Arch Card support team when appropriate.
  5. Ask for escalation: Request review by a manager, owner/operator, area supervisor, or customer support team.
  6. Write to corporate if needed: For formal unresolved complaints, send a concise letter to McDonald’s Corporation, 110 N. Carpenter St., Chicago, IL 60607.

McDonald’s Customer Service Reviews and Complaints

CustomerServiceNumbers.com currently shows 3 live reviews for McDonald’s with an overall rating of 3.3 out of 5 stars. Because the number of live CSN reviews is small and the reviews are older, there is not enough current customer feedback on this page to summarize a broad McDonald’s customer-service trend.

The limited review themes are mixed. One customer shared a positive experience involving helpful service from an employee at a specific restaurant. Other older reviews mentioned a playground/environment concern and an advertising complaint. These reviews are individual experiences and may not reflect every McDonald’s location, franchise owner, restaurant manager, or customer support interaction.

What to Expect When Contacting McDonald’s

McDonald’s support results may vary depending on whether the restaurant is company-operated or franchise-operated, how the order was placed, and whether a delivery partner processed the transaction. A local restaurant may be able to fix a missing item or refund issue faster than a national support route. App, rewards, delivery, and gift card issues may require account details, screenshots, or proof of purchase.

For serious or repeated issues, document each contact attempt and ask for the next escalation step. Include only the information needed to review the complaint and avoid sharing sensitive personal details in public comments.

McDonald's added the kiddie playground they drove people away

September 9, 2014

I think that when McDonald’s added the kiddie playground they drove people away. I don’t want to see a bunch of sugar hyped kids running wild and screaming when I just want to eat in peace. I check now to see if kids are there. If they are, I go somewhere else. McDonald’s needs to decide who it wants to have for customers.

McDonalds Excellent Customer Service

July 5, 2014

A happy experience: My great-grandson, age 6, and I ate lunch at The McDonald’s store in Beebe, Arkansas today, July 5,02. It was quite busy but we had the most pleasant experience with an employee named Lamonica. She was efficient and busy but not too busy to listen to a 6-year-old food request. I might say it was a bit complicated but Lamonica took the time to get to his level of conversation. As we ate and time permitted, Lamonica came by our booth to make sure we received our food request. I don’t know this young lady personally but I wish you had more employees like her. She was efficient, effective, and professional. Thank you, Lamonica for a nice trip to your store.
