12/3/2011 Just purchased two $100 gift cards. At checkout, I was charged an additional $5.95 for an activitation fee. Yes, in small print, the fee is on the card. But I would not have purchased if I had taken the time to read the fine print.

7/19/2011 i am a cardholder of mastercard thru netspend corp. as advertises on television netspend say,s they will back up any unauthorized transactions, not true . Ive been trying to recover 2 unauthorized transactions since may 26th 2011 i keep getting the run around. I get social security once a month and in need of medication. Master card will not help so i,m in bad shape please watch who you have your direct deposit with because Netspend does not honor there word . And hide behind Master Card. Who will not help either!!!!!!!

6/24/2011 I'm a contract worker in Jubail Saudi Arabia and a member of Mastercard -Samba Bank. I took an items using my mastercard when I was in Saudi and deducted to my salary but still I have few remaining balance. When I'm in vacation here in the Philippines few weeks after I avail my mastercard and got some items here in Quezon city. I have a money to pay back my debts or my bills in mastercard. Now, I can't no longer go back to Jubail, Saudi Arabia since I'm planning to work in Africa for a new assignment. Now, my question how could I pay my obligation since I took my membership in Samba bank mastercard in Jubail while I'm here in the Philippines and by next month of July I'll be working in Africa. How could I pay Mastercard since I used as an credit card. But I'm willing to pay what is due, thank you. Hear from you soon.

3/11/2011 Got a Vanilla Gift Card from Mastercard, for $50.00. It's my child's. At the moment of purchase, by her Grandfather, they began deducting $2.50 a month, when it states (in tiny letters on the back of card) that it will deduct $1.50 "7 or 13 months after initial purchase of card." So the card depleted within a year, and expired in the interim. I called & asked why they took out $2.50 a month, and why they did this with a gift card to begin with!? All they said was they were "sorry for taking my child's money from her Grandfather." If the card had been purchased after Aug. 1, 2010, they wouldn't be deducting monthly fees, as it's a LAW not to. Furthermore, there are bogus iTunes charges on the card for $0.05, $0.21 and $0.27. We never used the card, and I told them there's nothing to buy at iTunes for $0.05! They gave no explanation, and told me to dispute it with iTunes. The total taken by "iTunes" is $0.78. The frickin stamps cost $0.42 each way!!! The card name/type is: Vanilla Gift Card. DO NOT BUY THIS CARD AS A GIFT FOR YOUR FRIENDS or FAMILY!! It's a scam, and American Express & Visa, have happily sent new cards in the past when we've gone passed our expiration date. Master Card refused to acknowledge our GIFT of $50.00, PLUS deducted false amounts from the card.....until it had nothing left. BEWARE!!

11/18/2010 I travel a lot and when I found myself in Iceland my Mastercard cut me off. After returing to the US I was able to use my card again. I complained to Mastercard and was told that I had failed to inform Mastercard before I left the US. We just returned from a visit to Ukraine which lasted two months. Again Mastercard cut me off,being in a nonEnglish speaking with no money is not fun. My bank allowed me to use mu debit card and life returned. Again I was told by Mastercard that I had told Mastercard of my travel plans so I could not use my credit card. I did not tell my mother either. I did submit a request for a Visa card.

10/6/2010 I live in Bulgaria, I am a uk citizen and bank with Allianz Bulgaria. In this country only Bulgarians can have a credit card account, so I have to prepay / load my account with my own money before I can use it. Last month I had my card voluntarily de-activated at my request, there was a balance of 350 lev bgn currency remaining on this card, the Bank will not repay it into my account for 45 days, citing Master Card as making these rules. Keeping in mind that this is my own money that I loaded on the card, I want to know if this is a contractual rule used by Master Card or can I begin proceedings against this bank for unlawfully keeping my money against my wishes.

7/23/2010 My question is doe's mastercard require someone to sign there cards to make them valid? And if a customer refuses to sign should a store run the card anyway without a signiture? Our store won't take the cards without a signiture. Some customers complain about having to sign the card and some just forget to and sign but it says on the card not valid if not signed right?

6/24/2010 could you please tell me why i cant use my master card as you have blocked it and it as been blocked for 3days and its a joke now and its getting on my nervers i want it unbloking now
