Reserved a car at liberia, costa rica on 8/11/2014.with alamo.upon arrival they tried to sell me CDW and LDW coverage for about 32 dollars per day extra. i was prepared for this and had brought written confirmation that my credit card company -Visa- provided both coverages for me. they then told me that supplemental damage insurance-which apparently covers 3rd party damages- was mandated by the government and was an additional $460. i protested that that was not disclosed anywhere in the on line reservation. i called Visa toll free line in the the US. they had no knowledge of the SDI-supplemental) insurance. Alamo was getting busy so a manager was called and he offered the rental $117 plus the SDI -$215. we were staying in a remote location so transportation was necessary. the manager then tried to sale me the “bring back empty ” for $65 because gas was $8 per gallon. A LIE. gas was $ 5.25 5.40 per gallon. i declined. upon return home i researched “SDI” . there is a mandated government tax. it was not spelled out o the NIS website. several car rental agencies did specify additional taxes of $7 to $20 per day. We will NEVER use alamo, national , or enterprise again. they are all owned by the same corporation..

Miguel at the counter was Great in every aspect when I rented the car. I must say Execellent. I Rate Alamo a 10, at the time that I Exchange the Vehicle at the airport in Orlando Internantional was also A Great Service too.

When I Return the Car I Forgot My True Blue Flyer’s Number to had so that I can get my Mileage, when I return the car the Supervisor said just to go on line and sent them the flyers number and that they will had it to my recived. MyNumber for True Blue is 2074219875. Thank You so much.I would I know if you got this and if my True Blue Members Number was Added.I would Truly Rent From You Again this was The First Time.

The Alamo rental counter at ATL is terrible

The Alamo rental counter at ATL is terrible. I recommend not traveling or flying on a Friday evening as the wait times are extremely long. There are only 2 agents available, no WIFI in the rental building, and the representatives and manager, who is a man, are unprofessional. It was a joke and a nightmare experience. They definitely need to post information on rental care guidelines so that people won’t waste their time. .

Wow, I guess I’ve been fortunate.. rented my car without a hitch and even got a free upgrade that I did not ask for.. My suggestion is to decline every add-on except the rental car and make sure to put gas in before returning and please please if you are returning late, call customer service and talk to someone and get a name… Ugh, anywhere that deals with the public, there will certainly be complaints. Going back for another car this weekend. Let’s hope my second experience is as wonderful as the first was.

Alamo Is A Bunch Of Liars When It Comes To Coupons They Tell You That They Cannot Get The Discount Coupon Because You’re Already Getting A Good Deal On The Rental Car. That Is terrible customer service!
