Capital One, Had a GM Master Card for 18years with $15000.00 line of credit. Within a week of receiving my bill a check in full is in the mail. My 74 year old wife had to fly to Michigan and got a $5.00 cup of coffee at Logan airport. When she got to Michigan and went to a store to purchase $68.00 items she was told they wouldn't except her card. For 45 min she was in line until Capital One paid for her things. I called them tell them she has no cash with her. We do every thing with our card. Told me I have to tell them when ever we travel. you kidding me. Capital One sucks and when my wife is home I'll get some other card.

1/17/2012 So I owe $3000 to the GM (HBSC) card, and currently have a 30.99% APR which means each month, I am paying $75 of the $100 payment in interest fees. And guess what? They won't work with me, and they won't call me back!! Please people, don't fall for their wonderful credit card program with stupid rewards. They will change their story a few years from now and say, you have TWO options: Pay off your account, or accept an enormous APR which will provide us with guaranteed sucker income for the rest of your life.

I am writing to file a complaint. This is my story:
In 2009 I purchased a motor home in Idaho,(I live in Washington). In order to pick up the motor home I purchased two plane tickets for myself and a girlfirend to travel to Idah to purchase and pick up the home. I then proceeded to bring the motor home back to Washington which required gas. As gas prices have been increasing so has the costs to drive a motor home from one place to another.
After arriving home, I went to a department store to purchase some items and my card did not work. Not only was I embarrased by the actions, I became outraged in how it was handled.
When calling my card comany, GM, I find that there was a hold put on the card for security reasons. At that time a person on the other end proceeded to ask me questions of my past that no one in there right mind would be able to remember, not did I understand how the card company could ask me questions of my personal life that I have not informed them of in the past. At that time the person said they would continue to keep a hold and deactivate my card until I sent them some personal information, which included a copy of my drivers license. I refused to send my personal information over the mail service.
My complaint: Most card services call the customer on the phone and question if it was they that purchased the extra items that were not normal. At that time the card services can make the decision to deactivate or make note that the customer now has an item that would show high cost in feul.
My soulution to my outrage is to tell you, there are other cards that are of service and give far more service then GM. The rewards that were accumulated on the card were over $2000.00 and would have been used to help purchase a new GM product. I have been a customer of GM products for many years, I am now forced to purchase a competitors vehicle of yours. But no worries all is good here.

6/10/2011 GM MasterCard - I lost or misplaced my GM Master Card-Last four
I lost or misplaced my GM Master Card-Last four numbers were 0146. I have a replacement card now so I called the number to activate it. the new card number's last four number are 1145 with an expire date of 05 14. I sent a copy of my driver,s license( which is an Arizona license because I just moved to Waterloo, Iowa. I will be getting an Iowa license in the next few weeks. My new permanent address will be 1925 Westchester Rd. #306 Waterloo, Iowa 50701. I have sent you also a copy of my gas and electric bill.
I have talked to a rep., twice, and they have such an accent that I cannot really understand them. They, I think, keep asking me for my code number and I do not have one and never have had one. or a PIN . Please have the rep speak loudly and slowly and hopefully without and Asian or South American accent. so, if I do not get a letter from you or call, I will give up and use another credit card. 7/10/10 So today I get a call telling me that I am over my balance. When on Monday I called and made a payment using the phone (which I was charged for) and apparently they typed in the wrong number for my checking account. I used the card and today I got a call telling me I am over my limit and that I will be charged over the limit fee, a fee for the the checking account being wrong, another late fee, and a fee for calling back. Today will be the last time I will ever use my Master Card. There are two type of theives, ones that do it behind your back and the onces that do it in front of you and call them "service fees."
