Amazon Flex Customer Service: Driver Support, Payments & Appeals

Amazon Flex customer service assists delivery partners with application problems, delivery blocks, payments, app errors, account standings and deactivation questions. Flex driver support is separate from the customer service used for Amazon orders and Prime memberships.

Important: If you are an Amazon customer with a missing, damaged or late package, contact Amazon Customer Service. The Amazon Flex support routes below are intended primarily for delivery partners and applicants.

Getting Help During a Delivery Block

If a problem occurs while you are driving, pull over somewhere safe before using the app or contacting support. Open the Flex app, select the Help option and follow the instructions for the current stop or delivery block.

Drivers may need assistance when:

  • A package is missing from the route.
  • The delivery address cannot be located or accessed.
  • The app will not scan a package or complete a stop.
  • A business is closed or a delivery location appears unsafe.
  • A station delay affects the scheduled block.
  • Undelivered packages must be returned.

Follow the instructions displayed in the app. Save screenshots of error messages, record the block date and time, and document when you contacted support. This information may be important if the incident later affects your earnings or account standing.

Amazon Flex Application and Waitlist Problems

Amazon Flex requires applicants to meet current age, vehicle, licensing, identification, smartphone and insurance requirements. Availability also depends on whether Amazon is recruiting delivery partners in the applicant’s area.

Being placed on a waitlist does not necessarily mean that the application was rejected. It may mean that the selected delivery area does not currently need additional drivers. Support may be able to explain an application status, but it cannot always bypass local availability restrictions.

Never pay a recruiter or third party to obtain an Amazon Flex position. Apply through the official Amazon Flex website or app.

Background-Check Delays or Errors

Amazon states that the Flex screening process can include motor-vehicle records. If a background check is delayed, first confirm that the name, address, driver’s license and other identifying details entered in the application are accurate.

If the screening result contains information you believe is incorrect:

  1. Save the screening notice and any related email.
  2. Ask Amazon Flex support which screening report affected the application.
  3. Follow the dispute instructions provided by the screening company.
  4. Send Amazon Flex any corrected result or requested documentation.

A support representative may not be able to change information maintained by a separate screening provider.

Missing or Incorrect Amazon Flex Payments

Drivers should first open the Earnings section of the Flex app and compare the disputed payment with the corresponding delivery block. Amazon notes that bank holidays can move a payment to the next business day. Available payment and cash-out options can also depend on the driver’s account and payment method.

When reporting a payment problem, include:

  • The delivery block’s date, time and station.
  • The amount originally displayed for the offer.
  • The amount received or marked as pending.
  • Relevant screenshots from the Earnings section.
  • The date the payment was expected.

Do not publish bank-account numbers, debit-card details or tax information in a public comment.

Delivery Blocks, Cancellations and App Failures

Rules for accepting, forfeiting or arriving for delivery blocks can change. Review the current policy displayed in the Flex app rather than relying on an old cancellation window found on another website.

If an app failure prevents you from checking in or completing a block, take a screenshot that shows the time and error. Contact support promptly and provide the station, scheduled block and steps already attempted. Avoid repeatedly reinstalling the app if doing so could remove information needed to document the problem.

Standings and Delivery Violations

The Standings section can help drivers identify delivery events affecting their account. Before disputing an event, collect the block details, route information, support correspondence and any evidence showing that the problem was outside your control.

Keep the explanation factual and concise. Identify the disputed event, explain what occurred, provide supporting evidence and state the correction you are requesting.

How to Appeal an Amazon Flex Deactivation

Amazon’s FAQ directs deactivated delivery partners to amazonflex-support@amazon.com for information about the reason and available next steps.

An appeal should include:

  • The name and email associated with the Flex account.
  • The date of the deactivation notice.
  • The specific event or allegation being disputed.
  • A short chronological explanation.
  • Relevant screenshots, support case numbers or delivery records.
  • The resolution being requested.

Follow any deadline or submission instructions contained in the deactivation notice. Sending repeated messages without new information may make the case harder to review.

Accidents and Safety Emergencies

Call 911 when there is an immediate threat, serious injury, fire, collision or other emergency requiring police, medical or fire assistance. Amazon Flex’s Emergency Help feature also offers drivers a way to contact 911 or the Amazon Emergency Helpline to report a safety concern or accident.

The Amazon Emergency Helpline is not a replacement for emergency services. After an accident, follow applicable reporting requirements, exchange necessary information, document the scene when it is safe and notify the appropriate insurer. Save the related block and route information.

Amazon Flex Insurance Questions

Amazon requires delivery partners to maintain personal automobile insurance that meets local requirements. Amazon also states that it provides commercial insurance for eligible Flex delivery partners in most states, but coverage, limits and exclusions can depend on the location and circumstances.

Review the current insurance terms provided through Amazon Flex and discuss delivery work with your own insurance company. Do not assume that every accident, vehicle or driver is covered simply because a delivery block was active.

Amazon Customers With Package Problems

Customers should not use Amazon Flex driver-support channels to report a missing order, request a refund or locate a package. Instead, open the affected order in the Amazon app or website and use its customer-service options.

See our separate Amazon Customer Service page for consumer order assistance.

Avoid Amazon Flex Support Scams

  • Do not pay anyone to move an application ahead of a waitlist.
  • Do not provide an app password, one-time security code or complete banking credentials.
  • Amazon support should not require payment by gift card or cryptocurrency.
  • Use the official Flex app, flex.amazon.com and verified Amazon email addresses.
  • Be cautious of search advertisements displaying unofficial support numbers.
