  • DTS Customer Service, Voucher Help and Travel Support

DTS customer service can help with Defense Travel System login problems, authorizations, vouchers, CTO Submit errors, profile issues and other official travel concerns. Start with your local Defense Travel Administrator or travel help desk when possible, and use the Travel Assistance Center for problems that remain unresolved.

DTS Customer Service and Travel Assistance Center

The DTMO administrative number and address are not substitutes for the TAC, local DTA, Travel Management Company, finance office or Government Travel Charge Card support. Use the route assigned to the specific travel problem.

Best DTS Support Route by Issue

    • First-time DTS account: Contact the local Defense Travel Administrator.
    • CAC, certificate or login problem: Try the local help desk, TAC Live Chat or the TAC telephone number.
    • Incorrect profile, organization or routing list: Contact the local DTA.
    • Authorization awaiting approval: Contact the Routing Official or Authorizing Official shown in DTS.
    • Authorization stuck at CTO Submit: Contact the local DTA or TAC.
    • Reservation, ticket or itinerary change: Contact the Travel Management Company listed on the itinerary.
    • Travel disruption after travel begins: Contact the TMC and follow the organization’s emergency-travel instructions.
    • Voucher returned for correction: Review the return comments and contact the Authorizing Official or local travel office.
    • Approved voucher but no payment: Review the DTS payment status, split disbursement and banking details, then contact the local finance office.
    • Government Travel Charge Card: Contact the Agency Program Coordinator or Citi.
    • Travel-policy question: Contact the local travel office, finance office, Authorizing Official or chain of command.
    • Issue unresolved locally: Call the TAC, use Live Chat or submit a TraX help ticket.

Information to Have Before Contacting DTS Support

    • Your organization and local travel office
    • DTS document name or authorization reference
    • Travel dates
    • Document status and current routing step
    • Screen number where the problem occurred
    • Exact error message or code
    • Whether the problem involves DTS, TraX, Passport, the TMC or Citi
    • Names of the local DTA, Authorizing Official or Routing Official already contacted
    • Reservation and itinerary information when relevant
    • Voucher submission and approval dates
    • Previous TAC ticket number
    • A step-by-step description of what occurred
Provide personally identifiable or financial information only through the secure fields and procedures approved for that support channel. Do not include Social Security numbers, complete DoD ID numbers, bank details, card numbers or sensitive travel information in an ordinary ticket description or public review.

Local DTA Help Before Calling the TAC

Local DTS assistance is usually provided by a Lead Defense Travel Administrator, Organizational DTA, Finance DTA, travel clerk or another employee familiar with the organization’s DTS setup and business rules. The local office is normally the best route for:
    • Creating or updating a DTS profile
    • Moving a traveler between organizations
    • Correcting routing-list assignments
    • Identifying the Authorizing Official
    • Organization-specific travel procedures
    • Accounting-label questions
    • Local voucher requirements
    • Returned authorizations or vouchers
    • Training requirements
The TAC provides DoD-wide escalated support but may still direct a traveler back to the local organization when the issue depends on local permissions, funding, routing or policy.

DTS Login, CAC and Certificate Problems

First-time DTS users generally need a compatible browser, an approved PKI certificate or Common Access Card and a DTS profile established through their local DTA. For login problems:
    1. Confirm that the CAC is inserted and recognized.
    2. Select the authentication certificate rather than an email-signing certificate when prompted.
    3. Close and reopen the browser.
    4. Confirm that the browser and middleware meet current requirements.
    5. Try the official DTS login page rather than an old bookmark.
    6. Contact the local DTA if the profile has not been created or transferred.
    7. Use TAC Live Chat or call 1-888-435-7146 if the account remains locked or unavailable.
Do not send CAC certificates, PINs, screenshots containing sensitive identity information or copies of military identification through ordinary email or public comments.

    DTS Profile and Organization Problems

An outdated or incorrectly assigned profile can affect routing, accounting, reservations, payment information and the ability to create travel documents. Contact the local DTA when:
    • You transferred to a new unit or agency.
    • DTS shows the wrong organization.
    • Your routing officials are incorrect.
    • Your government card information changed.
    • Your email address or duty location is outdated.
    • You cannot create an authorization or voucher.
    • DTS says another organization controls your profile.
Do not create multiple DTS profiles to work around an organization or login problem unless an authorized DTA specifically directs you to do so.

    DTS Authorization and Approval Problems

A DTS authorization normally documents the official itinerary, estimated expenses, reservations, funding and approvals before travel. If an authorization is delayed:
    1. Open the document and review its current status.
    2. Check the Digital Signature and Routing section.
    3. Review any returned-document comments.
    4. Confirm that required reservations and expenses are included.
    5. Contact the Routing Official or Authorizing Official currently assigned to the document.
    6. Contact the local DTA if the routing list appears incorrect.
    7. Contact TAC for a technical failure that the local office cannot resolve.
TAC cannot approve official travel or replace the traveler’s Authorizing Official.

    CTO Submit and Ticketing Problems

An authorization may become delayed when it does not transmit correctly to the Travel Management Company or when the TMC cannot complete a reservation. Useful details include:
    • The authorization name
    • Current document status
    • Travel dates
    • Reservation type
    • Any CTO Submit or PNR error
    • Government Travel Charge Card status
    • TMC contact information
TAC can assist with certain CTO Submit and DTS transmission issues, but it cannot make, change or ticket the reservation itself.

    Travel Management Company Reservation Help

The Travel Management Company handles official airline, hotel and rental-car reservation servicing. Its contact information appears on the traveler’s itinerary and in DTMO’s official TMC directory. Contact the TMC when:
    • An emergency or mission requirement creates short-notice travel.
    • Official travel has begun and the itinerary must change.
    • A flight is cancelled or significantly disrupted.
    • A reservation has not been ticketed.
    • An unused paper ticket must be returned.
    • The traveler requires after-hours reservation support.
Do not call the TAC expecting an analyst to book, cancel or reticket a flight.

    Creating a DTS Voucher

A traveler whose TDY authorization was created in DTS generally completes the post-travel voucher in DTS. The voucher updates the estimated authorization to show what actually occurred and what was actually spent. Before signing the voucher:
    • Correct the actual departure and return dates.
    • Review the itinerary and locations.
    • Update lodging and transportation costs.
    • Add authorized reimbursable expenses.
    • Remove expenses that were not incurred.
    • Attach required receipts.
    • Review per diem and meal deductions.
    • Confirm the payment account.
    • Review split disbursement to the Government Travel Charge Card.
    • Add explanations for unusual or changed expenses.
DoD travel regulations generally require a voucher created from an authorization to be completed and submitted within five working days after returning to or arriving at the permanent duty station.

    DTS Receipt Requirements

A lodging receipt is required regardless of the amount. Receipts are also generally required for individual travel expenses of $75 or more. A useful receipt should normally show:
    • Merchant or provider
    • Date
    • Product or service
    • Amount
    • Proof or method of payment
A reservation confirmation, credit-card statement or estimate may not satisfy every receipt requirement. Ask the local travel office what documentation is required when a receipt is missing or incomplete.

    Voucher Returned for Correction

A returned voucher is not necessarily a final denial. Open the document and read every return comment before making changes. Common correction areas include:
    • Missing or invalid receipts
    • Incorrect travel dates
    • Expenses entered under the wrong category
    • Missing explanations
    • Incorrect mileage
    • Meal deductions
    • Duplicate expenses
    • Improper split disbursement
    • Accounting or funding errors
Contact the person who returned the voucher when the comment is unclear. Resign and resubmit only after every requested correction has been addressed.

    Delayed DTS Voucher or Reimbursement

When reimbursement is delayed, first check the document status inside DTS.
    1. Confirm that the voucher was digitally signed and submitted.
    2. Review whether it is waiting for a Routing Official or Authorizing Official.
    3. Check whether it was returned for correction.
    4. Confirm the approval date.
    5. Review the scheduled payment and split-disbursement information.
    6. Verify bank-account information and the Government Travel Charge Card balance.
    7. Contact the local finance office when the document is approved but payment has not arrived.
DTS technical support cannot approve a voucher, force an Authorizing Official to act or make a payment that belongs with the servicing finance or disbursing office.

Split Disbursement and Government Travel Card Payments

Split disbursement directs part of the approved reimbursement to the Government Travel Charge Card and the remainder to the traveler’s bank account. Before signing a voucher:
    • Review the current card balance.
    • Confirm which expenses were charged to the card.
    • Check the proposed split-disbursement amount.
    • Confirm personal bank information through the secure profile.
    • Retain the voucher and payment summary.
An incorrect split does not automatically remove the traveler’s responsibility to keep the Government Travel Charge Card current. Contact the local Agency Program Coordinator and finance office promptly.

    Government Travel Charge Card Support

The local Agency Program Coordinator is the first contact for many Government Travel Charge Card concerns. Citi provides 24-hour assistance for DoD cardholders. Use Citi or the Agency Program Coordinator for:
    • Lost or stolen cards
    • Declined transactions
    • Card activation and PINs
    • Balances and payments
    • Account restrictions
    • Application status
    • Fraudulent card activity
The TAC can help identify a DTS problem involving card information, but it is not the bank and cannot replace a card or decide a Citi account dispute.

    DTS Travel Debt Notices

A traveler may receive a debt notice when a prior payment must be collected or adjusted. Do not ignore the notice. Review:
    • The document and trip involved
    • The debt amount
    • The reason for the adjustment
    • Any repayment deadline
    • The local Debt Management Monitor
    • Available waiver, appeal or repayment instructions
DTS debt payments may be available through the official Pay.gov Defense Travel System Debt Notification Payment form. Confirm the notice through DTS or the local finance office before sending money.

    DTS Training and TraX Resources

DTMO provides current guides for DTS authorizations, vouchers, local vouchers, group travel, reservations and other official travel functions. Complete the training assigned to the traveler’s role. Authorizing Officials, DTAs, travel clerks and travelers may have different required courses and system permissions.

How to Escalate a DTS Complaint

    1. Review the DTS document, status, return comments and current routing step.
    2. Contact the local DTA, Authorizing Official or travel help desk.
    3. Contact the TMC when the complaint involves reservations or ticketing.
    4. Contact the Agency Program Coordinator or Citi for travel-card problems.
    5. Contact the local finance office for payment, accounting or reimbursement concerns.
    6. Call 1-888-435-7146, use Live Chat or submit a TraX ticket for an unresolved DTS issue.
    7. Keep the TAC ticket number and update the existing ticket instead of opening multiple duplicate cases.
    8. Use the chain of command or appropriate local management route for unresolved administrative or policy concerns.

    DTS Reviews and Complaints

CustomerServiceNumbers.com currently shows two visible DTS reviews with an overall rating of 3.0 out of 5. Both reviews were submitted in 2018. One reviewer reported difficulty reaching support by telephone. Another asked about DTS selecting a different travel location or airport than expected for NAS Jacksonville. These two older reviews are not enough to establish current DTS-wide support trends. Newer reviews can help readers understand experiences involving login, authorizations, CTO Submit, vouchers, reimbursements, TMC support, local DTAs and the Travel Assistance Center.

Privacy, Security and Fake Support Warnings

    • Use official .mil websites and secure government portals.
    • Verify that the connection uses HTTPS before signing in.
    • Do not disclose a CAC PIN, password, authentication certificate or one-time code.
    • Do not allow an unknown support caller to remotely control a government or personal device.
    • Do not include PII in an ordinary TAC ticket description.
    • Do not post complete DoD ID numbers, Social Security numbers, travel orders, itineraries, exact movements, bank details or Government Travel Charge Card information publicly.
    • Remove names, document numbers, barcodes, signatures, locations and account data from screenshots before sharing them.
    • Be cautious with unofficial websites claiming they can approve a voucher, issue reimbursement or remove travel debt for a fee.
    • A review posted here does not open a TAC ticket, change a reservation, approve a voucher or contact a government office.

  • ICSolutions Customer Service, Refunds and Video Visits

ICSolutions customer service can help with prepaid calling accounts, payments, refunds, blocked calls, disconnected calls, account access and video visitation. The correctional facility still controls calling privileges, approved numbers, visit schedules, monitoring rules and many facility-specific restrictions.

    ICSolutions Customer Service Phone Numbers

Do not use a facility sales, technical-maintenance or corporate number for an ordinary prepaid balance, refund, blocked-call or video-visit problem. Start with Customer Care or the support department connected with the service.

Best ICSolutions Support Route by Issue

    • Create or fund a calling account: Sign in online or call 1-888-506-8407.
    • Refund an unexpired Prepaid Account balance: Call Customer Care or use the official contact form.
    • Refund from a Debit Telephone Account: Contact ICSolutions and the correctional facility because the money generally belongs to the incarcerated person.
    • Blocked or rejected calls: Check the facility restriction, prepaid balance and mobile-carrier spam settings.
    • Dropped or inaudible call: Call Customer Care and request a call-quality investigation.
    • Visitation registration or scheduling: Call 1-888-646-9437 or email customer@ICSolutions.com.
    • Facility using JailATM: Use JailATM support rather than assuming ICSolutions controls the visit.
    • Incorrect rate or fee: Confirm the facility-specific rate and account type, then contact Customer Care.
    • Law-office Direct Billing: Call 1-800-464-8957.
    • Confidential attorney communication: Contact the facility before placing the call or scheduling the visit.
    • Calling privileges or disciplinary restriction: Contact the correctional facility rather than ICSolutions.
    • Unresolved regulated billing complaint: Contact the FCC after documenting the ICSolutions response.

Information to Have Before Contacting ICSolutions

    • Name and telephone number connected with the account
    • Email address used to register
    • Correctional facility name and state
    • Incarcerated person’s name and facility ID number
    • Account type, such as Prepaid Collect or Debit Telephone
    • Date, time and length of the affected call or visit
    • Amount and date of the payment
    • Payment method and transaction reference
    • First and last four card digits when securely requested
    • Call or visitation error message
    • Refund request date
    • Previous ICSolutions case or contact-form reference
    • A concise description of the requested resolution
Provide account, payment and identity information only through an official secure process. Do not place complete card numbers, government identification, legal documents or private facility information in a public review.

ICSolutions Prepaid Account Versus Debit Telephone Account

ICSolutions offers different calling-account types. Selecting the wrong type can create refund or calling limitations.

    Prepaid Account

    • The account is established and controlled by the call recipient.
    • It is connected with one designated telephone number.
    • The incarcerated person can use the funded balance to call that designated number.
    • The account holder can accept or reject incoming calls.
    • An unexpired remaining balance may qualify for a refund when the account is closed.

    Debit Telephone Account

    • The account belongs to the incarcerated person.
    • The incarcerated person can call facility-approved telephone numbers.
    • Money added by a friend or family member becomes the incarcerated person’s property.
    • The person who funded the account generally cannot demand that the money be returned directly to them.
    • A refund after release or transfer may depend on facility rules.
Confirm the account type before making a payment. A purchase placed into the wrong account may be difficult or impossible to reverse.

How to Create and Fund an ICSolutions Account

Prepaid services can generally be purchased online, by telephone or by mail.
    • Online: Sign in or create an account and pay using an accepted credit or debit card.
    • Telephone: Call 1-888-506-8407.
    • Mail: Send a cashier’s check or money order with the required account and facility details.
    • Western Union: May be available for qualifying Prepaid Accounts.
Credit- and debit-card purchases are generally available for use after processing. Mailed payments and Western Union transactions can require additional processing time.

    Mailing a Prepaid Account Payment

For a call-recipient Prepaid Account, mail the payment to: ICSolutions Attn: Customer Service Department/Prepaid Account 2200 Danbury Street San Antonio, TX 78217 Include:
    • Your name
    • Your mailing address
    • Your daytime telephone number
    • The telephone number connected with the Prepaid Account

Mailing a Debit Telephone Account Payment

For an incarcerated person’s Debit Telephone Account, mail the payment to: ICSolutions Attn: Customer Service Department/Debit Telephone Account 2200 Danbury Street San Antonio, TX 78217 Include:
    • Your name and address
    • Your daytime telephone number
    • The facility name
    • The incarcerated person’s name
    • The correct facility ID number
Keep a copy of the money order or cashier’s check and the mailing receipt. Do not send cash.

    ICSolutions Calling Rates and Fees

Calling and video-visitation prices can vary by correctional facility, state, account type, call type and current regulatory requirements. Before adding money:
    • Use the official ICSolutions rate lookup.
    • Select the correct state and facility.
    • Confirm whether the price is for a telephone call, voicemail or video visit.
    • Check the per-minute price and maximum session length.
    • Review any disclosed account-funding or transaction fee.
    • Confirm whether taxes or government-required charges apply.
    • Save a screenshot of the disclosed rate and payment total.
Do not rely on a rate quoted for another jail, prison, state or account type.

    Expired Prepaid Account Balances

ICSolutions states that Prepaid Account services generally expire six months after the most recent purchase unless applicable state law requires a different result. Before the balance expires:
    • Review the last funding date.
    • Confirm the remaining balance.
    • Decide whether another purchase is appropriate.
    • Request closure and refund of an eligible unexpired balance if the account is no longer needed.
Keep the refund request confirmation. Do not assume an expired balance will automatically be mailed to the account holder.

How to Request an ICSolutions Prepaid Refund

An account holder can request a refund of an eligible unexpired Prepaid Account balance by telephone, contact form or mail.
    1. Call 1-888-506-8407 or open the official support form.
    2. State that the request concerns closure of a Prepaid Account.
    3. Provide the account holder’s name and designated telephone number.
    4. Confirm the mailing address on the account.
    5. Ask for the current refundable balance.
    6. Request a case or confirmation number.
    7. Ask how the refund will be issued and how long processing should take.
    8. Keep copies of all written correspondence.
A funding or transaction fee may be treated differently from the unused calling balance. Ask ICSolutions to explain the refund calculation.

    Debit Telephone Account Refunds

Money placed into a Debit Telephone Account generally becomes the property of the incarcerated person. If the incarcerated person is released or transferred:
    • Contact the facility and ICSolutions.
    • Provide the facility ID, release or transfer date and current mailing address.
    • Ask whether the facility authorizes a refund.
    • Confirm who the refund check will be payable to.
    • Ask for the expected processing period.
The current support form advises that Call Center Debit refund checks are payable to the incarcerated person and may require six to eight weeks for processing.

    Dropped, Inaudible or Poor-Quality Calls

Call 1-888-506-8407 when a paid call was inaudible, unexpectedly disconnected or unusable. Provide:
    • The facility
    • Account telephone number
    • Incarcerated person’s name or ID
    • Date and exact approximate time
    • Length of the call before failure
    • Whether either party could hear the other
    • Whether a mobile or landline telephone was used
    • Whether the amount was deducted
ICSolutions can submit the call for investigation. A complaint does not guarantee an automatic credit or refund.

Why an ICSolutions Call May Disconnect

ICSolutions warns that automated security controls may terminate calls when they detect activity associated with prohibited call handling. To reduce avoidable disconnections:
    • Do not attempt a three-way call.
    • Do not use call forwarding.
    • Turn off call waiting when possible.
    • Do not press keypad numbers after the call connects.
    • Avoid unusually long periods of silence.
    • Do not use devices intended to interfere with automated calling systems.
The correctional facility may impose additional call-duration, scheduling, disciplinary or approved-number restrictions.

    Blocked ICSolutions Calls

An incarcerated person may be unable to call because:
    • The telephone number is restricted by the facility.
    • The Prepaid Account does not have enough money.
    • The account is connected with a different telephone number.
    • The mobile carrier marked the call as spam or a robocall.
    • The recipient previously requested that calls be blocked.
    • Calling privileges have been suspended by the facility.
    • The incarcerated person is trying to call an unapproved number.
Use ICSolutions’ blocked-call page to locate the facility-associated calling number and add it to the telephone’s contacts. Also add 1-888-506-8407 and ask the carrier to remove an incorrect spam block.

    Stopping ICSolutions Calls

A person who does not want calls should follow the blocking instructions given during the call, contact ICSolutions, or ask the telephone carrier for assistance. Do not add money or accept calls merely to learn who is calling. Report threatening, harassing or prohibited communication to the correctional facility or an appropriate authority.

Changing the Telephone Number on an Account

A Prepaid Account is tied to one designated telephone number. Moving the money to another number may require Customer Care verification. The official contact form may request:
    • The old and new telephone numbers
    • The last transaction date
    • The transaction amount
    • Limited payment-card verification information
    • The original and destination facilities when applicable
Do not create unnecessary duplicate accounts before asking whether the existing balance can be transferred.

    ICSolutions Video-Visitation Support

Video visitation is available only at participating facilities. Registration, approval, scheduling, fees, visit length, dress rules and permitted devices can vary by facility. All visitors generally must create an account and register before scheduling. The facility may need to approve the visitor or relationship.

    Failed or Disconnected Video Visits

For a paid visit that did not start, froze or disconnected:
    • Record the visit date and scheduled time.
    • Save the payment confirmation.
    • Take a screenshot of the error without exposing private information.
    • Note the device, operating system and connection used.
    • Contact Visitation Support promptly.
    • Ask whether the failure was on the visitor, facility or system side.
    • Request a credit, replacement visit or written explanation.
Refund or replacement-visit rules may depend on the facility and cause of the failure.

    JailATM and Other Facility Systems

Some facilities listed through ICSolutions use Tech Friends or JailATM for video visitation. Others may use separate telephone, messaging, commissary or visitation providers. Confirm the provider shown by the facility before creating an account or making a payment. ICSolutions may not be able to access a purchase made through JailATM or another company.

    Recorded and Monitored Calls

ICSolutions says calls at most correctional facilities are subject to monitoring and recording. Video visits and electronic messages may also be reviewed under facility rules. Do not discuss information that should remain confidential unless the facility has confirmed that the communication has been properly designated as privileged and protected.

    Attorney and Privileged Communications

An attorney should contact the correctional facility before calling or scheduling a video visit. The facility may require:
    • Attorney name and bar information
    • Client name and facility ID
    • Registration of the attorney’s telephone number
    • Advance scheduling
    • Approval by a facility administrator
    • Use of a separate privileged-call or visitation procedure
Do not assume that an ordinary ICSolutions call or video visit is confidential merely because one participant is an attorney.

    ICSolutions Login and Password Help

Use the official password-recovery page when an account username or password is not working. Before creating a second account:
    • Check the email used during registration.
    • Request a password-reset message.
    • Review spam and junk folders.
    • Confirm that the account is associated with the correct telephone number.
    • Contact Customer Care if the registered email is no longer accessible.
Never provide a password, PIN or verification code to an unexpected caller.

    Unfamiliar ICSolutions Charges

Before disputing an unfamiliar charge, compare it with:
    • A Prepaid Account funding transaction
    • A Debit Telephone Account purchase
    • A video-visitation payment
    • A voicemail or messaging purchase
    • A Secure Deposits transaction
    • A purchase made by another household member
    • A pending authorization and completed charge
Contact ICSolutions or the service provider shown on the receipt. Contact the card issuer promptly if a completed charge remains unauthorized.

How to Escalate an ICSolutions Complaint

    1. Call 1-888-506-8407 or submit the official contact form.
    2. Provide the account type, facility, payment or call details and requested resolution.
    3. Ask for a case or confirmation number.
    4. Save payment receipts, rate disclosures and support correspondence.
    5. Contact the correctional facility when the issue involves approval, calling privileges, schedules or facility policy.
    6. Use Visitation Support for registration or scheduling problems.
    7. Ask for written findings when a call-quality, payment or refund complaint is denied.
    8. File an FCC complaint when a regulated telephone rate, fee or billing issue remains unresolved.

    FCC Complaints About Incarcerated-Person Communications

For an online telephone-billing complaint, select the categories for phone service, billing and incarcerated-person communications. Include the provider, facility, dates, charges and the result of the original complaint. The FCC does not manage an ICSolutions account or guarantee a refund, but it regulates applicable incarcerated-person communication rates, fees and accessibility requirements.

    ICSolutions Reviews and Complaints

CustomerServiceNumbers.com currently shows 0 visible ICSolutions reviews. There is not enough CSN review data to establish reliable current trends involving rates, refunds, blocked calls, support or video visitation. Helpful reviews may describe experiences involving account setup, funding, refunds, expired balances, blocked calls, dropped calls, video visits, facility restrictions and whether ICSolutions or the facility resolved the issue.

    Privacy, Monitoring and Scam Warnings

    • Use ICSolutions.com and the official facility website.
    • Confirm the facility’s selected provider before making a payment.
    • Assume ordinary calls, video visits and messages may be monitored or recorded.
    • Do not share confidential legal, medical, financial or safety information through a nonprivileged call.
    • Do not provide passwords, PINs or verification codes to an unexpected caller.

  • DFAS Customer Service, Military Pay, myPay and Retiree Help

DFAS customers may need help with missing or incorrect military pay, retired pay, survivor benefits, civilian payroll, a myPay login problem, tax documents, direct deposit, a debt notice, travel reimbursement, contractor payments, or an unresolved pay claim. The correct contact route depends on the type of pay and the customer’s military, retirement, civilian, or contractor status.

The Defense Finance and Accounting Service is a federal payment and accounting agency. It is not a bank, military branch, private payroll company, retailer, subscription service, product-warranty provider, or benefits administrator for every federal program.

How to Contact DFAS Customer Service

Mailing-address warning: The headquarters address is not the correct destination for every form, claim, tax request, debt payment, beneficiary document, retired-pay inquiry, or annuitant request. DFAS uses department-specific mail stops and ZIP+4 codes. Verify the exact address on the official form or DFAS instruction page before mailing sensitive documents.

    Current DFAS Customer Service Hours

DFAS does not use one universal schedule for every department. Current hours include:

    • Main DFAS telephone routes: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Eastern Time
    • Retired and Annuitant Pay: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Eastern Time
    • Out-of-Service Debt and Claims: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Eastern Time
    • Air Force Total Force Service Center: Listed by DFAS as available 24 hours a day
    • myPay: Available online 24 hours a day
    • AskDFAS: Available online 24 hours a day for secure questions, forms, and document uploads

Federal holidays, system maintenance, emergency closures, and department-specific schedules may affect availability. Check the official DFAS contact page before relying on a particular schedule.

    DFAS Telephone Menu Options

DFAS periodically changes its telephone menu. Listen to the current prompts rather than relying only on an older sequence. The main number currently routes common inquiries as follows:

    • Option 1: Report the death of a military retiree
    • Option 2: Retirees, annuitants, and former spouses
    • Option 3: Army, Navy, and Marine Corps military pay
    • Option 4: Civilian employee pay

Air Force customers are directed to the Total Force Service Center rather than the same military-pay route. Contractor and vendor callers should use the payment-office directory connected to their invoice or contract.

Best DFAS Support Route by Issue

    • Army, Navy, or Marine Corps pay: Call 1-888-332-7411 and follow the current military-pay prompts.
    • Air Force pay: Call the Total Force Service Center at 1-800-525-0102 or submit a MyFSS ticket.
    • Retired pay: Call 1-800-321-1080, use myPay, or submit a retired-pay AskDFAS ticket.
    • Survivor Benefit Plan annuity: Use the Retired and Annuitant Pay route and select the annuitant or survivor option.
    • Former-spouse pay: Use the Retired and Annuitant Pay menu and select the former-spouse option.
    • Civilian employee pay: Contact the servicing agency Customer Service Representative or immediate supervisor first when appropriate, or call the DFAS civilian-pay menu.
    • myPay login: Use the official password, Login ID, and two-factor-authentication tools before calling 1-888-332-7411.
    • Out-of-service debt: Call 1-866-912-6488 or submit an AskDFAS Debt and Claims ticket.
    • Travel payment: Check the travel-voucher status and use the applicable travel or Defense Travel System support route.
    • Contractor or vendor invoice: Identify the DFAS payment office listed on the contract, invoice, payment advice, or electronic system.
    • VA benefit: Contact the Department of Veterans Affairs when the payment is a VA benefit rather than military retired pay.
    • Social Security benefit: Contact Social Security rather than DFAS.
    • Federal income-tax issue: Contact the IRS when the issue concerns tax law, a filed return, refund processing, or an IRS account rather than a DFAS-issued tax statement.

    What DFAS Handles

DFAS provides payment, accounting, and financial-management services involving several groups, including:

    • Active-duty and reserve military personnel
    • Military retirees
    • Survivor Benefit Plan annuitants
    • Eligible former spouses
    • Department-supported civilian employees
    • Federal contractors and vendors paid through DFAS
    • Former military or civilian personnel with certain debts or claims

    Common DFAS issues include:

    • Missing, delayed, or incorrect pay
    • Leave and Earnings Statements
    • Military retired pay
    • Survivor annuity payments
    • Tax withholding
    • W-2 and 1099-R tax statements
    • Direct-deposit changes
    • Address changes
    • Allotments and deductions
    • Verification of pay
    • Death notifications and arrears of pay
    • Debt notices, waivers, remissions, and claims
    • Contractor and vendor invoice payments

    What DFAS May Not Handle

DFAS cannot resolve every military, veteran, tax, employment, or benefit problem. Depending on the issue, the responsible organization may instead be:

    • The customer’s military branch
    • A local finance, personnel, payroll, or human-resources office
    • The Department of Veterans Affairs
    • The Internal Revenue Service
    • The Social Security Administration
    • The Office of Personnel Management
    • A Defense Travel Administrator
    • A contracting officer or government payment office
    • A bank or credit union receiving the deposit

Ask the representative to identify the responsible agency when DFAS does not control the underlying record, entitlement, personnel action, benefit decision, tax law, travel authorization, or bank transaction.

    DFAS Military Pay Help

Before contacting DFAS about active military pay, review the most recent Leave and Earnings Statement and compare it with the prior statement. Identify the exact pay period and the item that appears incorrect.

    Have the following information ready:

    • Branch of service
    • Active-duty, reserve, or guard status
    • Pay period involved
    • Type of pay, allowance, allotment, or deduction
    • Date the issue began
    • Relevant orders or personnel action
    • Previous finance-office or command contacts
    • Any AskDFAS ticket or case number

Some pay corrections require action by the member’s command, personnel office, local finance office, or military branch before DFAS can change the payment record. Ask which organization must submit or correct the underlying transaction.

DFAS Retired and Annuitant Pay Help

Military retirees, Survivor Benefit Plan annuitants, beneficiaries, survivors, and eligible former spouses can call 1-800-321-1080. The local number is 1-317-212-0551.

    This department commonly handles:

    • Military retired pay
    • Survivor Benefit Plan annuity pay
    • Former-spouse payments
    • 1099-R tax statements
    • Retired-pay direct deposit
    • Address and contact changes
    • Death notifications
    • Arrears of pay
    • Beneficiary documents
    • Life-changing events affecting retired or annuitant pay

Monday and lunchtime are commonly high-volume periods. Calling Tuesday through Friday outside the lunch period may reduce the wait, although faster service is not guaranteed.

    Retired Pay Mailing Address

For correspondence specifically directed to U.S. Military Retired Pay, DFAS currently publishes:

    Defense Finance and Accounting Service
    U.S. Military Retired Pay
    8899 East 56th Street
    Indianapolis, IN 46249-1200

    Annuitant Pay Mailing Address

For correspondence specifically directed to U.S. Military Annuitant Pay, DFAS currently publishes:

    Defense Finance and Accounting Service
    U.S. Military Annuitant Pay
    8899 East 56th Street
    Indianapolis, IN 46249-1300

Do not use these addresses for every DFAS issue. Confirm the destination, department, and ZIP+4 on the current instructions before mailing documents.

    DFAS Civilian Employee Pay Help

Federal civilian employees whose payroll is serviced by DFAS may need to begin with their agency Customer Service Representative, payroll office, human-resources office, or supervisor. The employing agency controls many personnel actions that affect DFAS payroll.

    Examples include:

    • Incorrect hours or leave
    • Pay-grade or step changes
    • Locality-pay questions
    • Benefits deductions
    • Retirement deductions
    • Tax withholding
    • Direct deposit
    • W-2 statements
    • Debt deductions
    • Personnel actions not yet reflected in payroll

Ask whether the employing agency has transmitted the corrected personnel or timekeeping record to DFAS. DFAS may be unable to change a payment until the responsible agency submits the required transaction.

    myPay Login and Account Help

myPay is available online 24 hours a day. Eligible users may use it to:

    • View and save Leave and Earnings Statements
    • Access W-2 and 1099-R tax documents
    • Review pay information
    • Change eligible tax-withholding elections
    • Update direct-deposit information
    • Change an eligible mailing address
    • Review allotments and deductions
    • Manage electronic-document delivery

For login problems, use the official Login ID, password, and two-factor-authentication assistance tools. If self-service does not resolve the problem, call 1-888-332-7411.

Security warning: Enter myPay credentials only at the official myPay website. Do not give a third-party financial app, early-pay service, caller, text sender, or email sender your myPay password or one-time verification code.

    How to Use AskDFAS

AskDFAS allows customers to submit questions, forms, and supporting documents through an official secure portal. The available category should match the issue, such as:

    • Military pay
    • Retired Pay
    • Annuitant Pay
    • Travel pay
    • Debt and claims
    • Tax statements
    • Civilian pay
    • Contractor or vendor payments

    After submitting a ticket:

    1. Save the ticket number.
    2. Save a copy of the submitted explanation.
    3. Keep copies of every uploaded document.
    4. Monitor the email address used for the submission.
    5. Reply through the secure system when DFAS requests more information.

Use the exact category and subcategory whenever possible. Sending a request to the wrong department can delay routing.

    DFAS Tax Statement Help

myPay is generally the fastest route for available W-2, 1099-R, LES, and other eligible pay documents. Customers who cannot use myPay may have telephone, AskDFAS, fax, or mail options depending on the type of statement.

    Before requesting a replacement:

    • Confirm which tax year is needed.
    • Confirm whether the document is a W-2, 1099-R, or travel tax statement.
    • Check the address currently on the DFAS record.
    • Check myPay’s tax-statement section.
    • Use the correct military, retiree, annuitant, civilian, or travel-pay route.

DFAS can provide or correct eligible DFAS-issued statements, but it does not provide individual tax advice or decide how a taxpayer should report income. Tax-law and filed-return questions should be directed to the IRS or a qualified tax professional.

DFAS Direct Deposit and Missing Payment Help

If an expected payment is missing:

    1. Check myPay or the applicable account for the payment date and amount.
    2. Confirm that the bank account and routing information are correct.
    3. Check whether DFAS shows the payment as issued, rejected, recalled, or returned.
    4. Contact the receiving financial institution if DFAS shows the deposit was transmitted.
    5. Contact DFAS if the payment was returned, sent to an old account, issued in the wrong amount, or not issued.
    6. Save the date, amount, account information used, and case number.

DFAS and the financial institution have different responsibilities. DFAS may confirm whether it issued a payment, while the bank or credit union may need to investigate a deposit received, rejected, frozen, or posted to an account.

    DFAS Debt and Claims Help

DFAS Debt and Claims handles certain delinquent debts involving former military members, former civilian employees, and other affected individuals. Call 1-866-912-6488 for the appropriate debt-support route.

Debt and Claims issues may include:

    • Debt notices
    • Payment arrangements
    • Payment-status questions
    • Debt protests
    • Waiver or remission requests
    • Travel advance debt
    • Bankruptcy notices
    • Correction-of-record claims
    • Disability severance tax-refund claims

Receiving a debt notice does not guarantee that a waiver, remission, repayment plan, protest, refund, or correction will be approved. Each request is reviewed under the applicable law, authority, documentation, deadlines, and program rules.

DFAS Debt and Claims Mailing Address

For correspondence specifically directed to Debt and Claims, DFAS currently lists:

    DFAS-IN/Debt and Claims
    Dept. 3300
    8899 East 56th Street
    Indianapolis, IN 46249-3300

Waiver, remission, and correction-of-record submissions may require additional attention lines. Follow the current DFAS instructions for the specific request.

DFAS Contractor and Vendor Payment Help

Contractors and vendors should identify the servicing DFAS payment office before calling. The correct office may appear on:

    • The government contract
    • An invoice or payment advice
    • A Wide Area Workflow or other payment-system record
    • A contracting officer’s notice
    • A payment rejection or error message

Have the contract number, invoice number, CAGE code, payment-office code, payment amount, submission date, and electronic-system status available. DFAS customer service cannot rewrite a contract, authorize work, modify an invoice, approve acceptance, or guarantee payment when another government office must act first.

    DFAS Scam and Impersonation Warning

Be cautious with unexpected calls, texts, emails, social-media messages, or websites claiming to represent DFAS or myPay.

DFAS states that it does not:

    • Make unsolicited calls about alleged payroll errors or debts
    • Demand immediate payment by telephone
    • Require payment through a mobile-payment app
    • Ask customers to provide myPay credentials through an unsolicited link

    Warning signs include:

    • A caller threatening immediate arrest, discharge, benefit loss, or account closure
    • A request for gift cards, cryptocurrency, wire transfer, or mobile-app payment
    • A message linking to a non-.mil myPay login page
    • A request for a one-time authentication code
    • An email claiming to be a DFAS SmartDocs message that requests personal information or includes an active login link
    • A third-party app asking for a myPay password in exchange for early access to pay

Go directly to the official DFAS or myPay website rather than clicking an unexpected link. If an account may have been compromised, change the password from a trusted device, review direct-deposit and allotment information, secure the connected email account, and contact DFAS through an official route.

How to Escalate a DFAS Pay or Customer Service Problem

    1. Identify whether the issue belongs to military pay, retired pay, annuitant pay, civilian pay, debt and claims, travel pay, or contractor/vendor pay.
    2. Review myPay, the LES, tax statement, payment record, debt notice, claim notice, or invoice before contacting support.
    3. Contact the responsible military branch, local finance office, agency payroll representative, contracting officer, or bank when that organization controls the underlying record.
    4. Call the correct DFAS department or submit an AskDFAS ticket.
    5. Save the ticket number, representative’s name or identifier, date, time, telephone menu used, and promised next step.
    6. Upload or submit only the documents requested for the applicable process.
    7. Ask which office currently owns the case and whether another organization must act before DFAS can process the correction.
    8. Follow the written reconsideration, waiver, remission, claim, correction, or appeal process when one applies.
    9. For a long-running unresolved matter, consider requesting help through the appropriate military chain of command, agency human-resources office, contracting officer, or congressional constituent-service office.

The DFAS Hotline is intended for allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement involving DFAS programs or personnel. It should not be used as a substitute for ordinary individual pay, tax-document, debt, or customer-service requests.

DFAS Customer Service Reviews and Complaints on CSN

CustomerServiceNumbers.com currently has zero published DFAS reviews. The displayed 0 out of 5 rating reflects that no ratings have been submitted; it is not a zero-star customer verdict.

Because there are no live reviews, there is not enough CustomerServiceNumbers.com feedback to identify a supported pattern involving DFAS telephone support, myPay access, military pay, retired pay, civilian payroll, tax statements, debt collection, claims, or complaint handling.

  • PennDOT Customer Service, DMV Services and Roadway Help

PennDOT provides driver licensing, photo identification, REAL ID, vehicle registration, title, suspension, disability placard, roadway, traffic, and transportation services throughout Pennsylvania. The correct contact depends on whether your issue involves Driver and Vehicle Services, a state roadway, a local PennDOT engineering district, 511PA, an authorized agent, or the independently operated Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.

    PennDOT Customer Service Phone Numbers

The former number 1-800-932-4600 is not the number currently published by PennDOT for Driver and Vehicle Services. Use 1-717-412-5300.

The number 1-800-349-7623 spells 1-800-FIX-ROAD. It is used to report concerns involving Pennsylvania state roadways and should not be labeled as a PA Turnpike customer-service number.

Choose the Correct PennDOT Support Route

The same Driver and Vehicle Services number handles questions involving:

    • Vehicle registration and renewal
    • Certificates of title
    • Registration plates
    • Duplicate registration cards
    • Vehicle address changes
    • Insurance-related registration issues
    • Registration suspensions
    • Disability plates and placards
    • Apportioned registration
    • New Pennsylvania residents

Have the information requested on the relevant PennDOT form or notice available. Do not publish a complete driver number, title number, VIN, plate number, or insurance-policy number in a public review.

How to Email PennDOT Driver and Vehicle Services

PennDOT provides separate official online email forms for:

    • Driver-license, learner’s-permit and photo-ID questions
    • Motor-vehicle questions
    • Apportioned-registration questions
    • Out-of-state and new-resident questions

Use the links on the official Driver and Vehicle Services contact page. PennDOT states that email responses are generally provided within three business days.

An email request does not automatically extend a payment, suspension, appeal, renewal, registration, or compliance deadline. Follow the deadline shown on the official notice unless PennDOT or a court confirms otherwise.

    PennDOT Addresses

    PennDOT Central Administrative Office

    Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
    Keystone Building
    400 North Street, Fifth Floor
    Harrisburg, PA 17120

This is PennDOT’s central administrative office. It is not a walk-in Driver License Center, vehicle-title counter, road-test site, photo center, or payment office.

    Central Driver and Vehicle Services

    PennDOT Riverfront Office Center
    1101 South Front Street
    Harrisburg, PA 17104

The Riverfront Office Center provides certain central Driver and Vehicle Services functions. Not every PennDOT service is available there, so review the official location listing before traveling.

Find a PennDOT Driver License or Photo Center

Use PennDOT’s official location finder to locate:

    • Driver License Centers
    • Photo License Centers
    • Same-Day REAL ID Centers
    • Riverfront Office Center services
    • Authorized agents and messengers
    • Motorcycle training locations

Operating days, hours, testing schedules, appointment requirements, accepted payment methods, and available services vary by location. Confirm the details before visiting.

    PennDOT REAL ID Help

REAL ID is optional in Pennsylvania. However, travelers need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or photo ID, a valid passport, or another federally accepted form of identification for domestic commercial flights and certain federal facilities.

To obtain a Pennsylvania REAL ID, applicants generally need:

    • Proof of identity and lawful status
    • Proof of Social Security number
    • Two proofs of Pennsylvania residency
    • Documentation of legal name changes when applicable

Documents generally must be originals or certified copies. Photocopies are not normally accepted for in-person document verification.

A Same-Day REAL ID Center can verify qualifying documents and issue the credential during the visit. Other Driver License Centers can accept an application and supporting documents, after which the credential is mailed following processing.

    PennDOT Online Services

PennDOT provides official online services for many transactions, including:

    • Driver-license renewals
    • Vehicle-registration renewals
    • Address changes
    • Duplicate products
    • Driver-history requests
    • Road-test scheduling
    • Restoration-fee payments
    • Civil-penalty payments when eligible
    • Road User Charge payments

PennDOT states that it does not add an extra Internet service fee to the cost of transactions completed through its listed official online services.

Use only the official PennDOT Online Services page. Be cautious of advertisements and unofficial websites that charge additional fees merely to forward a form or transaction.

PennDOT Authorized Agents and Messenger Services

Authorized agents and messengers are private businesses under contract with PennDOT. They are not ordinary PennDOT government offices.

An authorized business may provide services involving titles, registrations, plates, temporary credentials, or document delivery. It may charge a private service or delivery fee in addition to PennDOT’s required government fees.

Before authorizing a transaction, ask for:

    • The PennDOT statutory fee
    • The agent or messenger’s separate service fee
    • The expected processing or delivery time
    • A written receipt
    • Confirmation that the business is currently authorized

A complaint about an agent’s private service charge, employee conduct, document handling, or promised processing time should identify the agent separately from PennDOT.

    PennDOT Refund and Credit-Card Disputes

Customers seeking a refund for an eligible Driver and Vehicle Services payment may complete PennDOT Form MV-700, Application for Refund, or submit a written refund request.

A driver-license refund request should include the information PennDOT requires to locate the driver transaction. A vehicle-registration refund request generally requires the applicable title and registration information.

For a charge made through an authorized agent or messenger, determine whether the disputed amount was:

    • A PennDOT government fee
    • A private agent or messenger service fee
    • A duplicate payment
    • An unauthorized card transaction
    • A charge processed by another company

Contact PennDOT about an official PennDOT transaction. Contact the private business about its separate service charge. Contact the financial institution promptly if an unauthorized card charge remains unresolved.

    Driver-License and Vehicle-Registration Suspensions

Read the entire suspension, restoration, insurance, medical, toll, or compliance notice. The notice should identify:

    • The reason for the action
    • The effective date
    • The required documentation or payment
    • Any available appeal rights
    • The appeal or compliance deadline
    • The restoration requirements

Some Pennsylvania suspension notices may provide only 30 days to file an appeal. Calling or emailing customer service does not necessarily pause that deadline.

Call Driver and Vehicle Services at 1-717-412-5300 for an explanation of PennDOT’s record and requirements. Legal advice about an appeal, court filing, hearing, or deadline should come from a qualified Pennsylvania attorney.

Return an Unused Pennsylvania License Plate

A Pennsylvania registration plate that is no longer valid or required may be mailed to:

    Bureau of Motor Vehicles
    Return Tag Unit
    P.O. Box 68597
    Harrisburg, PA 17106-8597

PennDOT states that after the plate is received, it can be marked as a dead tag on the vehicle record. Returning a plate may help prevent someone else from using it fraudulently.

Consider using a mailing method that provides proof of delivery. Keep a copy of the plate information and mailing record privately.

    Report a PennDOT Roadway Concern

Call 1-800-FIX-ROAD or use PennDOT’s official roadway-concern form to report issues such as:

    • Potholes
    • State-road pavement concerns
    • Traffic signs
    • Signals
    • Drainage
    • Road debris
    • Guiderails
    • Snow and ice concerns
    • Roadside vegetation
    • Work-zone concerns

Online submissions are not continuously monitored. For an urgent road hazard, contact the PennDOT engineering district responsible for the county. For an immediate emergency or active danger, call 911.

PennDOT does not maintain every street or road in Pennsylvania. A local municipality, county, Turnpike Commission, private community, or another agency may be responsible for the location.

PennDOT Vehicle and Property Damage Claims

A person who believes a Commonwealth roadway condition caused vehicle or property damage may submit a claim through Pennsylvania’s official claim process.

The Pennsylvania Department of General Services’ Bureau of Finance and Risk Management reviews and adjudicates claims against the Commonwealth. This office is separate from PennDOT customer service.

    Keep:

    • The exact location
    • Date and approximate time
    • Photographs of the road condition
    • Photographs of the damage
    • Repair estimates and invoices
    • Police or incident reports
    • Towing receipts
    • Witness information
    • Any PennDOT roadway-report confirmation

The ability to file a claim does not mean the claim will be paid. Commonwealth liability is governed by Pennsylvania law and the facts of the incident.

    511PA Traffic and Travel Information

511PA is Pennsylvania’s official real-time traveler-information service. It provides traffic conditions, incidents, construction information, road closures, weather-related restrictions, cameras, and travel alerts.

Do not use a phone or mobile website while driving unless it can be operated legally and safely through a passenger or hands-free method.

PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Are Separate

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is not part of PennDOT. It independently operates the Pennsylvania Turnpike, E-ZPass accounts, Toll By Plate billing, toll disputes, collection procedures, and Turnpike service facilities.

For PA Turnpike assistance, call 1-877-736-6727.

    • Automated self-service: Available 24/7
    • E-ZPass and Toll By Plate agent assistance: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
    • PA Turnpike Help Center: Turnpike Customer Support

Do not call 1-800-FIX-ROAD for an E-ZPass account, Toll By Plate invoice, Turnpike toll dispute, or unpaid Turnpike balance.

Unpaid PA Turnpike Tolls and PennDOT Registration Suspensions

The PA Turnpike Commission handles the toll account and unpaid invoice. PennDOT may become involved if the Turnpike Commission requests a vehicle-registration suspension under Pennsylvania law.

If you receive a notice involving unpaid Turnpike tolls:

    1. Contact the PA Turnpike Commission at 1-877-736-6727.
    2. Request the invoice and account details.
    3. Pay, dispute, or arrange an eligible payment plan through the Turnpike.
    4. Follow any separate PennDOT registration-restoration instructions.
    5. Keep every payment and release confirmation.

Paying PennDOT alone may not resolve the underlying Turnpike toll balance, while paying the Turnpike may not automatically satisfy every PennDOT restoration requirement.

Report Driver-License, ID, Title or Vehicle Fraud

PennDOT provides official procedures for reporting suspected:

    • Driver-license fraud
    • Photo-identification fraud
    • Vehicle-title fraud
    • Registration fraud
    • Identity theft affecting a PennDOT record
    • Traffic violations attributed to an identity-theft victim

Use PennDOT’s official identity and fraud resources. Contact law enforcement when a crime, stolen identity document, or immediate threat is involved.

PennDOT will not ask you to publish identity documents, Social Security numbers, login credentials, or payment-card details in a public forum.

PennDOT Customer Service Reviews and Complaints

The review section below allows customers to describe firsthand experiences involving PennDOT Driver and Vehicle Services, Driver License Centers, REAL ID applications, titles, registrations, insurance suspensions, disability placards, online transactions, roadway reports, refunds, or complaint handling.

No reviews have currently been submitted on this page. The displayed 0/5 means that no ratings have been submitted; it is not a zero-star customer verdict.

Clearly identify whether the experience involved PennDOT, a private authorized agent or messenger, a vehicle dealership, an inspection station, a municipality, Pennsylvania State Police, 511PA, or the independent Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.

    Share Your PennDOT Experience

Describe the service requested, approximate date, office or support route used, processing time, response received, and whether the matter was resolved.

Do not post a driver’s-license or photo-ID number, Social Security number, date of birth, complete VIN, title number, full license-plate number, insurance information, disability documentation, suspension notice, payment-card information, account password, home address, private phone number, or photographs of identity documents.

    Page Update Note

  • FAFSA Customer Service, FSA ID, Application and Correction Help

FAFSA applicants commonly need help recovering a StudentAid.gov account, inviting a parent or spouse, completing a contributor section, correcting an application, checking processing status, adding a school or understanding why a college has not yet provided a financial aid offer.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is free. FAFSA is not a company and does not charge an application, processing or subscription fee. It is administered by Federal Student Aid, an office of the U.S. Department of Education.

How to Contact FAFSA Customer Service

The Federal Student Aid Information Center can answer general questions about the FAFSA process, StudentAid.gov accounts, application status, corrections and federal student aid.

The Department of Education headquarters is not a walk-in FAFSA assistance center or application-processing location. Do not mail a completed FAFSA form to the Washington headquarters.

Best FAFSA Support Route by Issue

    • Forgotten StudentAid.gov username or password: Use the recovery options on the official sign-in page.
    • Account locked or identity information does not match: Use account recovery and then call the Federal Student Aid Information Center if the problem remains unresolved.
    • Parent or spouse invitation problem: Check the contributor’s invitation email, link and code, then verify that each person is using a separate StudentAid.gov account.
    • FAFSA will not submit: Check whether every required contributor completed their section, provided consent and approval, and signed.
    • Incorrect answer on a processed FAFSA: Sign in, open the FAFSA Submission Summary and select Make a Correction.
    • Application still processing: Check My Activity in the student’s StudentAid.gov account.
    • School has not sent an aid offer: Contact that school’s financial aid office.
    • Income recently decreased: Submit the FAFSA using the required information, then ask the school’s financial aid office about a special-circumstances or professional-judgment review.
    • Selected for verification: Provide the documents requested by the school’s financial aid office.
    • Student loan payment or balance problem: Contact the assigned federal loan servicer rather than the FAFSA application center.
    • Unresolved federal student aid dispute: Submit feedback and use the Federal Student Aid Ombudsman route when appropriate.
    • Suspected fraud involving federal education funds: Report it to the U.S. Department of Education Office of Inspector General.

Information to Gather Before Calling FAFSA Support

    • Student’s full legal name
    • Date of birth
    • StudentAid.gov username supplied only through a secure official route
    • Email address and mobile number connected to the account
    • FAFSA award year, such as 2026–27
    • Application status shown under My Activity
    • Date the FAFSA was submitted
    • Exact error message
    • Browser and device being used
    • Name of the contributor having difficulty
    • Contributor invitation status
    • School name and Federal School Code when relevant
    • FAFSA Submission Summary information
    • Previous support case or reference number
    • The specific action or explanation requested

Do not publish Social Security numbers, StudentAid.gov passwords, authentication codes, backup codes, contributor invitation codes, Data Release Numbers, Alien Registration Numbers, tax records, application confirmation numbers or financial information in a public review.

FAFSA Customer Service Versus a School Financial Aid Office

    Federal Student Aid Information Center

The Federal Student Aid Information Center can help with:

    • General FAFSA questions
    • StudentAid.gov account access
    • Contributor invitations
    • Application navigation
    • FAFSA status
    • Corrections
    • Federal student aid information
    • Locating the appropriate support route

College or Career School Financial Aid Office

    The school generally handles:

    • The exact financial aid offer
    • Institutional scholarships and grants
    • State and school deadlines
    • Verification documents
    • Dependency-override requests
    • Homeless-youth determinations
    • Special financial circumstances
    • Professional-judgment reviews
    • Cost-of-attendance adjustments
    • Aid disbursement
    • Enrollment-related aid changes

The FAFSA Submission Summary provides eligibility information and estimates. It is not the financial aid offer from a school.

FAFSA Customer Service Versus a Federal Loan Servicer

FAFSA support helps with applying for federal student aid. A federal loan servicer manages an existing federal student loan account.

    Contact the loan servicer for:

    • Monthly bills
    • Payment posting
    • Automatic payments
    • Repayment plans
    • Deferment or forbearance
    • Loan balances
    • Delinquency
    • Loan-specific account records

Sign in to StudentAid.gov to identify the assigned loan servicer.

    2026–27 FAFSA Dates and Deadlines

The 2026–27 FAFSA applies to attendance at a college, career school or trade school between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027.

The federal deadline is June 30, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.

Do not wait for the federal deadline. A state, school or scholarship program may have:

    • An earlier priority deadline
    • Limited funds
    • A separate application
    • A required state residency form
    • A school-specific document deadline

Check every school and state deadline independently.

    FAFSA Is Free

    There is no charge to:

    • Create a StudentAid.gov account
    • Complete the FAFSA form
    • Submit a FAFSA form
    • Correct a FAFSA form
    • Add or change schools
    • Review a FAFSA Submission Summary
    • Contact the Federal Student Aid Information Center

A private company may charge for document preparation, scholarship searches or counseling, but that fee is not charged by FAFSA or the U.S. Department of Education.

Never provide payment information merely to unlock, submit or correct a FAFSA form.

How to Create a StudentAid.gov Account

The student and each required contributor need their own StudentAid.gov account.

    A contributor can include:

    • The student
    • The student’s spouse
    • A biological or adoptive parent
    • A parent’s spouse or partner when required

    Each person should:

    1. Use their own email address.
    2. Use their own mobile number when available.
    3. Enter their legal name and identity information accurately.
    4. Create their own username and password.
    5. Set up account-recovery and authentication options.
    6. Keep their credentials private.

A parent should not create or operate the student’s account, and a student should not sign a contributor’s section using the contributor’s credentials.

Forgot FAFSA ID, Username or Password

The term “FSA ID” is commonly used to describe the StudentAid.gov username and password.

    To recover an account:

    1. Open the official StudentAid.gov sign-in page.
    2. Select Forgot My Username or Forgot My Password.
    3. Choose an available email, mobile or account-recovery option.
    4. Enter the verification code.
    5. Create a new password when prompted.
    6. Review contact and security information after signing in.

If automated recovery fails, call 1-800-433-3243.

Do not create a second account merely because the first account cannot be accessed. Duplicate accounts can create identity and application-matching problems.

StudentAid.gov Account Information Does Not Match

    An identity mismatch can involve:

    • A nickname instead of a legal name
    • Incorrect date of birth
    • Incorrect Social Security number
    • A recent legal name change
    • A suffix entered inconsistently
    • Transposed numbers
    • Contributor information that does not match the contributor’s account

Compare the information entered on the FAFSA form with the Personal Information section of the appropriate StudentAid.gov account.

Do not change information randomly to bypass an error. Correct the underlying identity information and allow required matching to complete.

    How FAFSA Contributors Work

A contributor is a person required to complete and sign a section of the FAFSA form.

    Being a contributor:

    • Does not automatically make the person responsible for paying for school
    • Does not automatically make the person a borrower
    • Does not mean the contributor is applying for aid personally
    • Does require the person to provide accurate information and sign their section

The FAFSA form determines which contributors are required based on the student’s dependency, marital and family circumstances.

How to Invite a Parent or Spouse to the FAFSA

    For the 2026–27 FAFSA:

    1. Enter the required contributor’s email address accurately.
    2. Send the invitation.
    3. Ask the contributor to check their inbox and spam folder.
    4. The contributor can use the email invitation, shared invitation link or invitation code.
    5. The contributor signs in with their own StudentAid.gov account.
    6. The contributor completes only the sections assigned to them.
    7. The contributor provides consent and approval.
    8. The contributor signs their section.

A contributor invitation code is private account information. Do not publish it in a review, public message or social-media post.

    Contributor Invitation Is Not Working

    Check:

    • The email address was entered correctly.
    • The invitation was sent for the correct award year.
    • The contributor is using their own StudentAid.gov account.
    • The legal name and other identity information match.
    • The invitation email is not in a spam folder.
    • The invitation code was copied completely.
    • The contributor did not accidentally open another student’s FAFSA form.

The person who started the invitation may be able to remove an incorrect contributor and issue a new invitation.

FAFSA Contributor Does Not Have a Social Security Number

A parent or spouse may still be able to create a StudentAid.gov account and participate as a contributor even when that person does not have a Social Security number.

Follow the current prompts for a contributor without an SSN. Enter information accurately and do not use:

    • The student’s Social Security number
    • A made-up number
    • An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number in an SSN field unless the form specifically requests it
    • Another family member’s account

Contact the Federal Student Aid Information Center when identity verification or account creation cannot be completed.

FAFSA Tax Information Consent and Approval

The student and all required contributors must provide consent and approval for federal tax information to be obtained and used to determine federal student-aid eligibility.

Consent and approval may be required even when a contributor:

    • Did not file a federal tax return
    • Had little or no income
    • Filed outside the United States
    • Believes the Department already has the information

A required contributor who does not provide consent, approval and a signature can prevent the student’s eligibility from being calculated.

Do not send tax returns or tax transcripts to CustomerServiceNumbers.com.

    FAFSA Will Not Submit

A FAFSA form may remain incomplete because:

    • The student did not sign.
    • A parent or spouse did not sign.
    • A contributor section is incomplete.
    • Consent and approval were not provided.
    • An invitation remains pending.
    • Required student information is missing.
    • The form contains an unresolved validation error.
    • The wrong award year was selected.

Open the form under My Activity and review the status of every required section.

A parent completing their section does not automatically submit the student’s application. The student must still complete and sign the student sections.

    How to Check FAFSA Status

    To check an online application:

    1. Sign in to the student’s StudentAid.gov account.
    2. Open My Activity.
    3. Select the applicable FAFSA award year.
    4. Review the status tracker.
    5. Check whether any contributor action remains incomplete.
    6. Review any Action Required notice.

Most online FAFSA forms process immediately, although some can take one to three days.

A paper FAFSA takes longer. Keep a copy and allow time for mailing and processing.

    FAFSA Submission Summary

Once the FAFSA is processed, the student can access the FAFSA Submission Summary.

    It may include:

    • Student Aid Index
    • Estimated federal-aid eligibility
    • Estimated Federal Pell Grant information
    • Answers submitted on the FAFSA
    • Schools selected by the student
    • Correction options
    • Verification or other next steps

The FAFSA Submission Summary is not a bill, refund, award payment or final financial aid offer.

Each school uses FAFSA information and its own cost-of-attendance and aid policies to prepare an offer.

FAFSA Student Aid Index Is Not an Aid Offer

The Student Aid Index is an eligibility index used in the financial-aid process.

    It is not:

    • The amount a family must pay
    • The amount of aid guaranteed
    • The student’s tuition bill
    • A loan balance
    • A refund amount

The school’s financial aid office determines the types and amounts of aid it can offer.

How to Correct a FAFSA Form

    After the form is processed:

    1. Sign in to the student’s StudentAid.gov account.
    2. Open My Activity.
    3. Select the processed FAFSA form.
    4. Open the FAFSA Submission Summary.
    5. Select the FAFSA Form Answers tab.
    6. Select Make a Correction.
    7. Correct the affected information.
    8. Review all changes.
    9. Provide any required signatures.
    10. Submit the correction.

Some information may have to be corrected or documented through a school’s financial aid office.

    Common FAFSA Corrections

    Corrections can involve:

    • Missing signature
    • Missing consent and approval
    • Incorrect Social Security number
    • Incorrect legal name
    • Marital-status error
    • Financial information entered incorrectly
    • Incorrect family-size information
    • Adding or removing a school
    • Contributor information
    • Dependency answers

Do not change accurate information merely because the calculated Student Aid Index is higher or lower than expected.

How to Add or Change Schools on FAFSA

    After processing:

    1. Open the FAFSA form under My Activity.
    2. Select Make a Correction.
    3. Open the school-selection section.
    4. Add or remove the appropriate school.
    5. Verify the school name, location and Federal School Code.
    6. Sign and submit the correction.

Adding a school sends FAFSA information to that school. It does not submit an admissions application or guarantee admission or financial aid.

    FAFSA Selected for Verification

Verification is a school process used to confirm information reported on the FAFSA.

Being selected does not necessarily mean:

    • The applicant made an error
    • The application is fraudulent
    • The student is ineligible
    • The school has denied aid

    The school may request:

    • Tax documentation
    • Income records
    • Identity verification
    • Household information
    • Proof of high school completion
    • Other supporting records

Submit documents only through the school’s approved secure process.

FAFSA Income Changed After the Tax Year

The FAFSA uses the tax and financial information required for the applicable award year.

When current circumstances have changed because of:

    • Job loss
    • Reduced work hours
    • Loss of benefits
    • Divorce or separation
    • Death of a family member
    • High unreimbursed medical expenses
    • Other significant financial changes

complete the FAFSA as instructed and contact each school’s financial aid office.

    Ask about:

    • Special-circumstances review
    • Professional judgment
    • Income adjustment
    • Required documentation
    • The school’s appeal process

The Federal Student Aid Information Center cannot promise that a school will adjust an aid offer.

Parent Refuses to Provide FAFSA Information

A dependent student generally must provide required parent information to qualify for the full range of federal student aid.

A parent’s refusal does not automatically make the student independent.

The form may provide a route to apply for Direct Unsubsidized Loan consideration only, but:

    • Eligibility is limited.
    • The school must review the situation.
    • Parent refusal is different from unusual circumstances involving abuse, abandonment or inability to contact a parent.

Contact the school’s financial aid office for case-specific guidance.

    Unusual Circumstances or Dependency Override

A student who cannot safely contact a parent because of circumstances such as abuse, abandonment, trafficking, incarceration or another serious situation should follow the unusual-circumstances prompts and contact the school.

The school may request documentation and determine whether a dependency override is appropriate.

Being self-supporting, living separately or filing a separate tax return does not by itself make a student independent for FAFSA purposes.

FAFSA Financial Aid Offer Is Delayed

A school may not issue an offer until:

    • The FAFSA is processed.
    • The school receives the FAFSA data.
    • The student is admitted.
    • Verification is complete.
    • Required documents are submitted.
    • The school finalizes its cost of attendance and aid budget.

    Contact the school and ask:

    • Whether it received the FAFSA
    • Whether the correct school code was used
    • Whether verification or another document is outstanding

    FAFSA Paper Form Mailing Address

The 2026–27 paper FAFSA instructions list this processing address:

    • Federal Student Aid Programs
    • P.O. Box 70204
    • London, KY 40742-0204

Follow the instructions printed on the exact award-year form because processing addresses can change.

Do not send a completed FAFSA to:

    • The Department of Education headquarters
    • The Federal Student Aid Information Center correspondence address
    • A school unless instructed
    • CustomerServiceNumbers.com

Keep a complete copy before mailing.

    FAFSA Scams and Fake Support

Be cautious with a website, caller or message claiming:

    • A payment is required to submit FAFSA.
    • A fee is required to unlock an FSA ID.
    • A grant is guaranteed after payment.
    • A password or authentication code must be provided.
    • Remote access to the applicant’s computer is required.
    • Payment by gift card, wire transfer or cryptocurrency is required.
    • An application will be deleted unless an immediate fee is paid.

    Official FAFSA filing is free.

Never share a StudentAid.gov username, password or authentication code, even with:

    • A family member
    • A school employee
    • A paid preparer
    • A caller claiming to represent FAFSA

Enter credentials only through the official StudentAid.gov sign-in page.

What to Do After Sharing StudentAid.gov Credentials

If credentials may have been compromised:

    1. Change the password immediately.
    2. Review the email address, telephone number and authentication settings.
    3. Review My Activity for unfamiliar forms or changes.
    4. Check contributors and school selections.
    5. Contact the Federal Student Aid Information Center.
    6. Secure the associated email account.
    7. Document suspicious messages or transactions.

Do not send the compromised password or authentication code to a support representative.

How to File a FAFSA Complaint

    1. Identify the responsible organization. Determine whether the issue belongs to the FSAIC, a school, a loan servicer, a state agency or another provider.
    2. Gather documentation. Save application status, emails, screenshots, dates and prior case numbers.
    3. Use the correct first-level support route. Call the FSAIC or contact the school or servicer.
    4. Request a reference number. Record the date and the action promised.
    5. Submit written feedback. Use the Federal Student Aid feedback system when the issue remains unresolved.
    6. Request Ombudsman assistance when appropriate. Explain the steps already taken and provide supporting records.

Information to Include in a FAFSA Complaint

    • FAFSA award year
    • Date the form was started and submitted
    • Application status
    • Nature of the error or delay
    • Support route previously used
    • Dates of telephone calls or messages
    • Prior case or reference number
    • School or servicer involved
    • Steps already taken
    • The specific resolution requested

Provide Social Security numbers, tax documents and account credentials only when an authorized official requests them through a secure official process.

    Federal Student Aid Ombudsman

The Federal Student Aid Ombudsman is a neutral, informal and confidential resource for unresolved federal student aid disputes.

    Before requesting assistance:

    1. Contact the organization responsible for the issue.
    2. Complete any available complaint or appeal process.
    3. Keep copies of all correspondence.
    4. Organize a timeline.
    5. Identify the outcome requested.

    Contact routes include:

The Ombudsman is not a replacement for a school’s admissions process, ordinary financial-aid appeal or initial loan-servicer contact.

Report Federal Student Aid Fraud, Waste or Abuse

Suspected fraud, waste, abuse or criminal activity involving U.S. Department of Education programs or funds can be reported to the Office of Inspector General.

    Use:

    • Online complaint information: Department of Education OIG Hotline
    • Mail: U.S. Department of Education, Office of Inspector General Hotline, 400 Maryland Avenue SW, Washington, DC 20202-1500

The OIG route is for suspected misconduct involving Department programs or funds. It is not the ordinary route for a forgotten password, FAFSA correction or delayed school aid offer.

FAFSA Billing, Refunds, Returns, Warranty and Recalls

FAFSA is a free government application.

    There is no:

    • FAFSA application charge
    • FAFSA subscription
    • FAFSA renewal fee
    • Physical product return
    • Merchandise warranty
    • Repair center
    • Product recall process

A charge from a private filing service, scholarship company, document preparer or financial-aid consultant is a third-party transaction.

    For an unwanted third-party charge:

    1. Identify the merchant on the receipt or statement.
    2. Review the service agreement.
    3. Contact the merchant.
    4. Request cancellation or a refund under its terms.
    5. Contact the payment provider if the charge remains unauthorized.

Do not describe a third-party charge as a charge from FAFSA unless the transaction can actually be connected to the U.S. Department of Education.

The visible review themes are limited to:

    • One StudentAid.gov account-access request

  • Republican Party Contact Information: RNC Phone and Support

Before communicating with the Republican Party, making a contribution, volunteering, purchasing merchandise, or submitting feedback, it is important to identify the correct organization. The Republican National Committee, commonly called the RNC, is the national committee of the Republican Party. It is separate from state and county Republican organizations, individual political campaigns, congressional campaign committees, and the government offices of elected officials.

How to Contact the Republican National Committee

The Republican National Committee provides the following official information and support channels:

The Washington address is the RNC’s national headquarters and official committee mailing address. It is not the local office for every Republican voter, volunteer, candidate, donor, or elected official.

Do not mail merchandise returns, sensitive financial information, campaign applications, or documents intended for a state party or individual candidate to RNC headquarters unless the appropriate organization has provided instructions.

Which Republican Organization Should You Contact?

Several organizations use Republican or GOP branding, but they perform different functions.

    Republican National Committee

The RNC is the national party committee. It supports national party organization, fundraising, voter outreach, conventions, party rules, training, communications, and election-related programs.

    Use the RNC for:

    • Questions about the national party
    • National volunteer and party initiatives
    • The official Republican platform
    • RNC communications
    • National party events
    • RNC donations
    • GOP website concerns
    • National committee feedback

    State Republican Party

A state Republican committee usually handles matters such as:

    • State party membership and leadership
    • State conventions
    • Statewide volunteer opportunities
    • Local candidate information
    • State party events
    • County and district committee referrals
    • State party rules
    • Precinct organization

Use the RNC member directory or search for the official Republican Party website in your state. Confirm that the website contains the appropriate political-committee disclosure before providing personal or payment information.

County, District, or Local Republican Committee

Local committees may organize precinct volunteers, meetings, candidate events, voter outreach, and local party activities.

The RNC headquarters cannot necessarily provide an event schedule, membership record, or volunteer assignment for every county or municipality. Begin with the appropriate state party when you cannot locate an official county committee.

    Individual Political Campaign

A candidate’s campaign is legally and operationally separate from the RNC.

Use the candidate’s official campaign organization for:

    • Campaign donations
    • Campaign merchandise
    • Candidate appearances
    • Campaign volunteering
    • Yard signs
    • Campaign employment
    • Candidate policy statements
    • Campaign refund questions

Review the “Paid for by” statement on a donation page, receipt, email, text message, or advertisement to identify the organization responsible for it.

    Office of an Elected Official

An elected official’s government office handles official constituent services and legislative matters. The RNC is not a substitute for the office of a member of Congress, governor, state legislator, mayor, or other public official.

Use the elected official’s government website for help involving:

    • Federal or state agencies
    • Pending legislation
    • Government benefits
    • Passports or immigration cases
    • Military or veterans’ matters
    • Official scheduling requests
    • Constituent services

Government office websites generally use a .gov domain. Campaign websites and party websites do not perform the same function.

    Election Office

Questions about voter registration, ballots, polling places, election deadlines, identification rules, or election results should be directed to the appropriate state or local election authority.

A political party may provide voter information, but the official election agency is the authoritative source for government election procedures.

    Republican National Committee Leadership

The RNC currently identifies the following national leaders:

    • Chairman: Joe Gruters
    • Co-Chair: KC Crosbie

Leadership positions can change following an election, resignation, appointment, or committee vote. Use the official RNC leadership page for the current list rather than relying on an older article, directory, or social-media post.

The RNC chair oversees the national committee’s political and organizational work. The chair is not the same position as President of the United States, Speaker of the House, Senate majority leader, or chair of a state Republican Party.

Republican Party Platform and Policy Questions

The platform is the official policy document adopted through the Republican National Convention process. The current platform linked by the RNC is the 2024 Republican Party Platform.

    The platform addresses subjects including:

    • The economy and inflation
    • Taxes and federal regulation
    • Immigration and border policy
    • Energy production
    • Trade and manufacturing
    • Constitutional rights
    • National defense and foreign policy
    • Education
    • Healthcare
    • Social Security and Medicare
    • Government administration
    • Election policy

For an accurate understanding of the party’s stated positions, review the complete official platform rather than relying on a short summary, advertisement, news segment, or social-media post.

Individual Republican candidates and elected officials may emphasize different subjects or propose policies that are not identical to every provision in the national platform.

    Republican Party Donations

Before making a political contribution, read the complete disclosure shown on the payment page. The disclosure identifies the political committee receiving the money, contribution restrictions, and the company processing the transaction.

Contributions to the Republican National Committee are political contributions and are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income-tax purposes.

RNC contribution rules generally state that a contributor must:

    • Use the contributor’s own funds
    • Use a personal payment method
    • Meet applicable citizenship or permanent-residency requirements
    • Not make a prohibited corporate or organizational contribution
    • Not make a contribution on behalf of another person
    • Comply with applicable federal contribution limits

Federal campaign-finance limits and eligibility rules can change. Review the current contribution disclosure and Federal Election Commission guidance before making a large or unusual contribution.

How to Identify an RNC Donation

    Check the following information:

    • The contribution confirmation email
    • The committee name on the receipt
    • The “Paid for by” statement
    • The payment processor shown on the form
    • The amount and transaction date
    • Whether the donation was one-time or recurring

A Republican-branded solicitation may benefit the RNC, an individual campaign, a state party, a joint fundraising committee, or another political organization. Do not assume that every Republican donation goes directly to the RNC.

    WinRed Donation Support

Many Republican committees and candidates use WinRed to process online contributions. WinRed is a payment and fundraising platform, not the Republican National Committee itself.

When the receipt or bank statement identifies WinRed, use the following support options:

    WinRed can assist with:

    • Recent contribution refunds
    • Recurring contribution cancellations
    • Duplicate charges
    • Donation receipts
    • Unrecognized WinRed transactions
    • Payment-processing problems

WinRed states that refund requests involving contributions made within the previous 60 days can generally be submitted through its donor-support system. Older contribution questions may need to be directed to the political committee that received the funds.

How to Cancel a Recurring Republican Donation

Begin with the original confirmation email. It should identify the recipient committee, processor, amount, and recurring schedule.

For a recurring contribution processed by WinRed:

    1. Open the contribution confirmation email.
    2. Find the recurring-contribution management link.
    3. Select the option to cancel, pause, or change the contribution.
    4. Save the cancellation confirmation.
    5. Check the payment account after the next scheduled date.

A donor with a WinRed account can also sign in and review the Subscriptions section. Donors without an account can use the WinRed support form or email [donations@winred.com](mailto:donations@winred.com).

Canceling a recurring contribution stops future scheduled transactions. A separate refund request may be required for a contribution that has already been processed.

For an online RNC contribution error not handled through WinRed, the RNC’s published site terms direct users to [email@gop.com](mailto:email@gop.com).

    Unrecognized Republican Party Charges

    Before disputing a transaction, gather:

    • The date of the charge
    • The exact statement description
    • The amount
    • The last four digits of the payment card
    • Relevant confirmation emails
    • Any recurring-contribution notice

The charge may have been processed for the RNC, a candidate, a state party, a joint fundraising committee, or another Republican organization.

Use the processor or committee identified on the receipt. If the transaction says WinRed, begin with WinRed Donor Support. If it identifies the RNC directly, use the RNC contact information.

Do not send a complete payment-card number, Social Security number, account password, or banking login through ordinary email.

Republican Party Text Messages and Emails

Fundraising and political messages may come from the RNC, a campaign, a state party, or another committee.

To stop RNC text messages, reply STOP to the message. Save the confirmation showing that the request was processed.

To adjust RNC email preferences, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the message or visit:

    RNC Subscription Center

WinRed states that it processes contributions but does not create or send campaign fundraising messages. Questions about the content or frequency of an email or text should be directed to the political organization identified in the message’s disclosure.

Unsubscribing from one committee does not necessarily remove an address or phone number from the lists of every Republican campaign or organization.

    Official GOP Store Support

The Official GOP Store is separate from ordinary political-contribution support.

Use the following information for store purchases:

Have the order number, purchaser’s email address, product name, shipping address, and tracking information available.

Merchandise purchases and political contributions may be treated differently for tax, campaign-finance, return, and refund purposes. Review the disclosures and store terms shown during checkout.

    Republican Party Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer opportunities can be organized by:

    • The Republican National Committee
    • A state Republican Party
    • A county or local committee
    • An individual candidate’s campaign
    • A congressional or senatorial campaign committee
    • A policy or advocacy organization

National party volunteers may participate in voter outreach, events, data programs, training, and campaign support. Local organizations may offer precinct, canvassing, phone, event, or office opportunities.

    Before providing personal information:

    • Confirm the organization’s official website.
    • Review its privacy policy.
    • Identify whether it is a party committee or campaign.
    • Ask how personal information will be used.
    • Do not provide financial information unless making an intended contribution.

    Republican Party Jobs and Internships

RNC, campaign, and state-party employment opportunities are managed separately.

An application sent to the RNC does not automatically apply to:

    • A presidential campaign
    • A congressional campaign
    • A senator’s official office
    • A state party
    • A governor’s office
    • A county committee

Use the careers or jobs section of the specific organization. Verify the email domain before sending a résumé or personal information.

Legitimate political employers should not require an applicant to purchase gift cards, transfer money, deposit a check and return funds, or disclose online-banking credentials.

    Media and Press Questions

Journalists should use the press or communications information published on the official RNC website rather than the general consumer contact route.

Questions involving a candidate, member of Congress, administration official, or state party should be directed to that individual office or organization’s communications team.

CNN and Fox News are independent media organizations and are not customer-service departments for the Republican Party. Related pages include:

How to Submit a Republican Party Complaint

Use the following process for an unresolved RNC communication, contribution, merchandise, volunteer, or website concern:

    1. Identify the responsible organization. Review the receipt, email disclosure, text message, advertisement, or website footer.
    2. Separate party matters from government matters. The RNC does not provide official constituent services or administer elections.
    3. Use the correct support route. Use the RNC for national party matters, WinRed for eligible processor issues, the GOP Store for merchandise, and the state party or campaign for its own activities.
    4. Provide relevant records. Include dates, transaction amounts, order numbers, message screenshots, and prior correspondence.
    5. State the requested resolution. Explain whether you are requesting information, a recurring-contribution cancellation, refund review, order correction, unsubscribe confirmation, or written response.
    6. Keep a complaint record. Save case numbers, confirmations, emails, and the dates of telephone conversations.

Do not post private donor information, payment details, home addresses, passwords, or other sensitive data in a public comment.

    About the Republican National Committee

The Republican Party traces its organization to the 1850s. The Republican National Committee serves as the party’s national committee and helps organize conventions, fundraising, communications, voter outreach, training, and election programs.

The RNC is registered with the Federal Election Commission under committee ID C00003418. Its official FEC record lists the committee as an active, qualified national party committee.

The RNC’s published disclaimer states that it is not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee. This distinction is important because the RNC, candidate campaigns, and joint fundraising committees maintain separate legal and financial records.

    Republican Party Reviews and Feedback

People may interact with the Republican Party through national communications, state or county committees, campaign events, volunteer programs, donations, merchandise purchases, or digital outreach.

    A useful review may include:

    • The specific organization involved
    • Whether the issue concerned the RNC, a campaign, or a state party
    • The support method used
    • The general nature of the request
    • Whether a contribution processor was involved
    • How long the response took
    • Whether the concern was resolved

Political opinions can be expressed without publishing another person’s private information, threatening language, payment details, or unsupported personal accusations.

  • SunPass Customer Service, Toll Disputes & Invoice Help

SunPass customers may need help disputing an incorrect toll, paying a Toll Enforcement Invoice, removing a vehicle-registration stop, correcting duplicate charges, updating a license plate, replacing a transponder, closing an account, or investigating a suspicious SunPass message.

SunPass is Florida’s prepaid toll program and is administered through the Florida Department of Transportation. It is not a conventional private corporation, so drivers should use the SunPass Customer Service Center, online account tools, official mailing addresses, or a SunPass walk-in center for assistance.

SunPass customer-service information reviewed and updated in June 2026.

How To Contact SunPass Customer Service

Important: The telephone number 1-407-532-3999 is associated with Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise offices and should not be presented as SunPass’s primary customer-service or “corporate office” number.

The address at 7941 Glades Road in Boca Raton is an official SunPass walk-in center, not a corporate headquarters or general mailing address.

    SunPass Customer Service Hours

How To Dispute a SunPass Toll Charge

SunPass allows toll disputes through the website, mobile app, telephone, fax, mail, or a walk-in center.

Submit a Dispute From a SunPass Account

    1. Sign in to My SunPass.
    2. Open the account activity.
    3. Locate the disputed transaction.
    4. Select Online Support.
    5. Choose the reason for the dispute.
    6. Explain why the toll is incorrect.
    7. Attach supporting documents when requested.
    8. Save the inquiry or case number.

Submit a Dispute Without a SunPass Account

    1. Open the SunPass Contact Us page.
    2. Select the email or online inquiry option.
    3. Choose the appropriate reason for contact.
    4. Enter the invoice, citation, vehicle, and contact information requested.
    5. Explain the dispute clearly.
    6. Upload supporting documents when available.
    7. Keep the confirmation number.

Useful Evidence for a Toll Dispute

    • Cash toll receipt
    • SunPass account activity
    • Credit-card or bank statement
    • Vehicle-sale or trade-in documents
    • Rental agreement
    • Proof that the plate was surrendered or transferred
    • Police report for a stolen plate or vehicle
    • Photographs showing a plate-reading error
    • Proof that the vehicle was elsewhere
    • Prior SunPass correspondence

State the exact toll being disputed and the requested resolution. A general complaint without dates, locations, amounts, or supporting information may be harder to investigate.

    Duplicate SunPass Toll Charges

A duplicate-looking toll may occur when:

    • A transponder charge and license-plate charge both appear
    • The customer paid cash while a transponder remained active in the vehicle
    • Two SunPass accounts list the same vehicle
    • A portable transponder and a rental-company toll program were both used
    • A pending transaction appears beside a completed charge
    • Two vehicles use the same portable transponder incorrectly
    • A trailer or additional axle produced a different toll amount

How To Report a Duplicate Charge

    1. Compare the date, time, toll location, and amount of both transactions.
    2. Check whether one charge is still pending.
    3. Review the vehicles and transponders listed on the account.
    4. Keep any cash receipt.
    5. Sign in and submit an Online Support request.
    6. Attach receipts or account screenshots.
    7. Ask for the inquiry number and expected review time.

SunPass requires a valid cash receipt when a driver claims that the same toll was paid in cash and electronically. Keep toll receipts until account activity has been reviewed.

    Toll Enforcement Invoice Help

A Toll Enforcement Invoice may be issued when a vehicle uses an electronic toll facility but no valid payment is collected.

    This can happen because:

    • The vehicle did not have a transponder
    • The transponder was not mounted correctly
    • The SunPass account had insufficient funds
    • The payment card was declined
    • The transponder was inactive or defective
    • The vehicle or license plate was missing from the account
    • The transponder could not be read
    • The plate was associated with a previous owner

How To Verify a SunPass Invoice

    1. Go directly to SunPass.com.
    2. Select Toll Enforcement Invoice.
    3. Enter the invoice number.
    4. Enter the license plate number.
    5. Review the Document Summary and invoice image.
    6. Compare the vehicle, toll dates, and amounts.

Official SunPass Toll Enforcement Invoices are sent through U.S. mail. SunPass states that it does not send toll invoices by email.

A text or email claiming that an immediate toll payment is required should be treated cautiously. Do not use the link in the message. Open SunPass.com directly and verify the invoice there.

How To Pay a SunPass Toll Enforcement Invoice

Customers can generally pay through the official invoice portal using the invoice number and license plate.

SunPass account holders who received an invoice should:

    1. Sign in to the SunPass account.
    2. Bring a negative account balance into good standing when required.
    3. Select Pay Toll Enforcement Invoice.
    4. Enter or confirm the invoice information.
    5. Review the payment amount.
    6. Save the confirmation.

Payments and replenishments sent by mail should include the payment coupon and be sent to the address printed on the official notice. Do not send cash through the mail.

    SunPass Vehicle Registration Stop

Unpaid tolls may eventually result in a stop being placed on a Florida vehicle registration. This can prevent registration renewal until the toll obligation is resolved.

For a registration stop identified as SunPass, call 1-888-824-8655.

Before Calling About a Registration Stop

    • Confirm which agency placed the stop.
    • Gather the license plate and vehicle information.
    • Locate all toll invoices and collection notices.
    • Review the amount due.
    • Gather proof of any prior payment.
    • Ask how long release processing takes after payment.
    • Request proof that the stop was released.

If SunPass cannot find the registration stop, another Florida toll agency or government entity may have placed it. Check the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles record for the responsible organization.

Collection Notices and Uniform Traffic Citations

Ignoring unpaid toll notices can result in additional fees, collection activity, a registration stop, or a Uniform Traffic Citation.

Read each document carefully because the response process may differ:

    • Toll Enforcement Invoice: Usually paid or disputed through SunPass.
    • Collection Notice: May require payment through a collection portal or agency.
    • Registration Stop: Must be resolved with the agency that placed the stop.
    • Uniform Traffic Citation: May involve a court deadline and should not be treated like an ordinary invoice.

Do not miss a citation or court deadline while waiting for an ordinary customer-service inquiry. Follow the instructions printed on the legal document.

Wrong License Plate or Vehicle on a SunPass Account

SunPass customers are responsible for keeping vehicle and plate information current.

    Update the account immediately after:

    • Buying a vehicle
    • Selling or trading a vehicle
    • Receiving a replacement plate
    • Transferring a plate
    • Changing registration states
    • Leasing a different vehicle
    • Returning a rental car
    • Adding or removing a trailer

How To Update a Vehicle or License Plate

    1. Sign in to SunPass.
    2. Select Transponders and Vehicles.
    3. Locate the vehicle.
    4. Select Edit or Add Another Vehicle.
    5. Enter the correct plate, state, vehicle, and date information.
    6. Remove vehicles no longer authorized to use the account.
    7. Save the changes.

A license plate generally should not be actively associated with more than one SunPass account.

Tolls From a Vehicle You Sold

If tolls continue after selling or trading a vehicle:

    1. Remove the vehicle and plate from the SunPass account.
    2. Confirm whether the plate remained on the vehicle.
    3. Gather the bill of sale or trade-in agreement.
    4. Check whether the plate was surrendered or transferred.
    5. Dispute the tolls with SunPass.
    6. Submit proof showing the date ownership ended.
    7. Contact the motor-vehicle agency if ownership records are incorrect.

Do not ignore an invoice simply because the vehicle was sold. Submit evidence before the dispute or legal deadline expires.

Using SunPass in a Rental Vehicle

A portable SunPass transponder can be used in a rental vehicle when the rental vehicle and license plate are temporarily added to the SunPass account.

How To Add a Rental Vehicle

    1. Sign in to SunPass.
    2. Select Transponders and Vehicles.
    3. Select Add Another Vehicle.
    4. Enter the rental vehicle and plate information.
    5. Check the Rental Vehicle option.
    6. Enter the rental start and end date and time.
    7. Save the vehicle.

    When returning the rental:

    • Remove the portable transponder from the vehicle.
    • Confirm that the rental period ended in the SunPass account.
    • Remove the rental plate when appropriate.
    • Review account activity for later tolls.
    • Keep the rental agreement and return receipt.

If a transponder is left in a rental car, report it lost or stolen immediately. The account holder may remain responsible for charges until its status is changed.

A SunPass Mini is attached permanently to one windshield. Once removed, it may no longer function and should not be moved to another rental vehicle.

    Rental-Car Toll Fees

Rental-car companies often use separate toll-processing programs. These may charge:

    • The toll amount
    • A daily usage fee
    • A per-toll administrative fee
    • A weekly maximum fee
    • A higher non-SunPass toll rate

A charge from a rental-car toll vendor may not appear in a personal SunPass account. Review the rental agreement and determine whether the charge came from:

    • SunPass
    • The rental company
    • PlatePass
    • e-Toll
    • Highway Toll Administration
    • Another toll-processing company

Contact the rental company or the vendor named on the charge when it—not SunPass—processed the toll.

    SunPass Transponder Not Working

A toll transponder may fail because it is:

    • Mounted incorrectly
    • Inactive
    • Associated with the wrong vehicle
    • Reported lost or stolen
    • Defective
    • Blocked by certain windshield materials
    • Being held by hand or placed on a dashboard
    • Connected to an account with insufficient funds

    Transponder Troubleshooting

    1. Confirm that the transponder is active.
    2. Check the account balance.
    3. Verify the vehicle and plate information.
    4. Confirm proper windshield placement.
    5. Review recent account activity.
    6. Call SunPass if tolls repeatedly appear by plate rather than transponder.
    7. Request a warranty review when appropriate.

SunPass currently lists a two-year warranty for SunPass PRO and a 45-day warranty for SunPass Mini.

    Lost or Stolen SunPass Transponder

Change the transponder’s status immediately if it is lost or stolen.

    1. Sign in to SunPass.
    2. Select Transponders and Vehicles.
    3. Locate the affected transponder.
    4. Change the status to Lost or Stolen.
    5. Review recent toll activity.
    6. Contact SunPass about unfamiliar transactions.
    7. Order a replacement if needed.

The account holder may be responsible for tolls charged before the transponder is reported lost or stolen.

    SunPass Mini Versus SunPass PRO

    SunPass Mini

    • Current purchase price listed by SunPass: $4.99 plus tax
    • Attaches permanently to one windshield
    • Should not be moved between vehicles
    • May stop working after removal
    • Current warranty listed by SunPass: 45 days

    SunPass PRO

    • Current purchase price listed by SunPass: $14.95 plus tax
    • Portable between properly listed vehicles
    • Can be used in Florida and participating interoperable states
    • Works throughout the E-ZPass network and other participating systems
    • Current warranty listed by SunPass: two years

Vehicle and license-plate information must remain current even when using a portable transponder.

Low Balance and Automatic Replenishment Problems

A SunPass account can become inactive or negative when:

    • The linked card expires
    • The card issuer declines a charge
    • The bank account is closed
    • The automatic replenishment amount is too low
    • Recent toll activity is higher than expected
    • The account information was not updated
    • Another vehicle is using the account

How To Update a Payment Method

    1. Sign in to SunPass.
    2. Select Manage Payment Methods.
    3. Update the card or bank information.
    4. Review the Easy Pay settings.
    5. Confirm the replenishment amount.
    6. Bring any negative balance into good standing.
    7. Save the payment confirmation.

Do not continue using toll facilities when the SunPass account is inactive or unable to pay unless another valid payment method is available.

Forgotten SunPass Username, Account Number, or Password

The SunPass login page includes options for a forgotten username or password.

Customers who cannot recover the information online can call 1-888-865-5352 or visit a walk-in center. For security, a representative may ask questions to verify the account holder’s identity.

Do not create a second account merely because the first account cannot be accessed. A duplicate account can complicate license-plate assignments, toll activity, and automatic payments.

How To Close a SunPass Account

A SunPass account can be closed through:

    • An online support request
    • Fax at 1-888-265-1725
    • Mail to Florida Department of Transportation/SunPass, P.O. Box 447, Ocoee, FL 34761
    • A SunPass walk-in center

    Before Closing the Account

    • Review all recent toll activity.
    • Pay any outstanding balance.
    • Remove vehicles and rental plates.
    • Disable or destroy a SunPass Mini when appropriate.
    • Mark a portable transponder inactive.
    • Download statements and records.
    • Confirm the refund method for any remaining balance.
    • Save the account-closure request.

SunPass states that it waits 21 days after receiving a credit-card account closure request to allow outstanding toll activity to post. After that waiting period, a credit-card refund may take approximately five business days. Refunds issued by check may take up to 45 days from the date the request is received.

Most centers are open Monday through Saturday, although the Snapper Creek location currently lists weekday-only hours.

SunPass Scam Texts and Fake Toll Notices

Drivers should be cautious of unexpected text messages or emails claiming:

    • A small unpaid toll must be paid immediately
    • Late fees will increase within hours
    • A driver’s license will be suspended
    • A vehicle registration will be stopped immediately
    • A package or refund is waiting
    • A payment method must be verified through a link

SunPass states that official Toll Enforcement Invoices are sent through U.S. mail, not email. Verify invoices directly at SunPass.com.

Warning Signs of a Fake SunPass Message

    • The message arrived from an unfamiliar international number.
    • The link uses a misspelled or unrelated domain.
    • The message demands payment by gift card, cryptocurrency, or wire transfer.
    • The sender asks for a complete payment-card number by text.
    • The sender threatens an immediate arrest or license suspension.
    • The message claims a small payment is required to prevent severe penalties.
    • The website is not SunPass.com.

What To Do With a Suspicious Message

    1. Do not click the link.
    2. Do not reply.
    3. Take a screenshot.
    4. Open SunPass.com directly.
    5. Check for a real invoice using official tools.
    6. Report the message as junk or phishing.
    7. Contact the card issuer immediately if payment information was entered.
    8. Change passwords if account credentials were disclosed.

How To Escalate an Unresolved SunPass Complaint

    1. Start with SunPass Customer Service. Call 1-888-865-5352.
    2. Submit an online inquiry. Account holders should use Online Support.
    3. Request an inquiry number. Use it to check the status later.
    4. Submit supporting documents. Include receipts, invoices, account activity, and vehicle records.
    5. Use a walk-in center. Bring copies rather than surrendering the only originals.
    6. Send written correspondence. Mail disputed-account information to P.O. Box 447, Ocoee, FL 34761.
    7. Observe legal deadlines. A citation or registration stop may require action beyond an ordinary customer-service complaint.
    8. Contact the correct toll agency. SunPass may not control invoices issued by another Florida or out-of-state agency.
    9. Consider an outside complaint. Depending on the issue, options may include FDOT, the Florida Attorney General, a court listed on a citation, or a payment-card issuer.

Clearly state the requested resolution, such as removing a duplicate toll, correcting a license plate, releasing a registration stop, refunding an account balance, or documenting an unauthorized charge.

SunPass Customer Reviews and Complaint Sentiment

At the time this page was updated, the CustomerServiceNumbers.com review module displayed a SunPass rating of 0 out of 5 stars based on zero reviews.

Because no reviews have been submitted on this page, there is not yet enough CustomerServiceNumbers.com feedback to identify complaint patterns or measure SunPass’s customer-service performance.

The previous article referred generally to praise for account convenience and complaints about billing discrepancies and support responsiveness. Those statements were not supported by reviews submitted on this page and have been removed.

What To Include in a SunPass Review

    • The type of SunPass account or transponder involved
    • Whether the issue involved a toll, invoice, registration stop, rental vehicle, or account balance
    • The contact method used
    • Whether SunPass opened an inquiry
    • How long it took to reach assistance
    • Whether documents were requested
    • Whether a charge was corrected or refunded
    • Whether a registration stop was released
    • Whether the problem was ultimately resolved

What To Expect When Contacting SunPass

    • The representative may ask for the account, transponder, plate, or invoice number.
    • Identity verification may be required before account information is released.
    • SunPass may request receipts or vehicle documents.
    • A toll from another agency may require contacting that agency.
    • Rental-car fees may require contacting the rental company or toll vendor.
    • A registration stop may take time to clear after payment.
    • An account-closure refund is not immediate.
    • Online account statements may not be considered official documents in every dispute.
    • A Uniform Traffic Citation may involve a court process rather than ordinary customer support.

USPS Customer Reviews and Complaints on CSN

The live CustomerServiceNumbers.com USPS page currently shows zero customer reviews. Because there are no live CSN reviews yet, there is not enough CSN feedback to summarize a reliable USPS customer-service trend on this site.

If you have contacted USPS about tracking, missing mail, lost packages, damaged mail, claims, refunds, Informed Delivery, Change of Address, Hold Mail, PO Boxes, Postal Store orders, local delivery, mail theft, or a complaint, you can leave a review below. Reviews are individual experiences and may not represent every USPS route, local Post Office, package service, mail class, claim, refund, or support case.

USPS Tracking, Delayed Packages, and Missing Mail

Start by checking USPS Tracking. USPS says the tracking information available to customer service representatives is the same tracking information customers can see online, so calling may not provide a different scan if the package has not been updated yet.

If a package or mailpiece appears lost or delayed, USPS recommends checking the current status first, then submitting a Missing Mail Search request when eligible. Missing Mail Search requests can be submitted starting 7 days from the mailing date.

For a Missing Mail Search, gather the sender and recipient addresses, tracking number, mailing date, envelope or package type, contents description, and photos that may help USPS identify the item.

USPS Claims for Lost, Damaged, or Missing Contents

USPS claims are generally for insured mail or eligible services when a package is lost, damaged, or arrives with missing contents. USPS says either the sender or recipient may file a claim for insured mail, but the person filing must have the original mailing receipt and supporting documentation.

For damaged or missing contents, USPS recommends filing a claim immediately, but no later than 60 days from the mailing date. For lost mail, the filing start date and deadline depend on the service used.

Keep all packaging, damaged contents, photos, receipts, invoices, proof of value, proof of insurance, tracking records, and claim numbers until USPS resolves the claim. If a claim is denied or only partly paid, USPS may allow an appeal within the appeal window.

USPS Refunds, Priority Mail Express, and Postage Issues

USPS refunds are different from claims. A claim may involve insured value for lost or damaged mail, while a refund may involve postage, a service guarantee, unused labels, PO Box fees, or other USPS fees.

Priority Mail Express may be eligible for a refund if the service guarantee applies. Other postage or label refunds depend on the service, purchase method, timing, and whether the label or service was used.

Before requesting a refund, gather the tracking number, mailing receipt, label number, purchase date, payment method, service type, delivery scan, and the reason you believe a refund is due.

Change of Address, Hold Mail, PO Boxes, and Informed Delivery

For Change of Address issues, verify that you are using the official USPS Mover’s Guide or USPS.com. Be careful with third-party sites that charge extra fees or imitate USPS forms. Keep your confirmation code, old address, new address, move type, and start date.

USPS Hold Mail service can pause mail delivery for a minimum of 3 days and a maximum of 30 days. If your mail is not held or not delivered after the hold ends, contact USPS with your confirmation number and local Post Office details.

For PO Box issues, USPS.com account problems, and Informed Delivery support, use USPS.com tools or technical support. For Informed Delivery, USPS may route users through email support rather than general phone support.

Mail Theft, Mail Fraud, Counterfeit Postage, and Suspicious Mail

Mail theft, mail fraud, identity theft through the mail, counterfeit postage, suspicious mail, cybercrime involving the mail, and other mail-related crimes should be reported to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. Call 1-877-876-2455 or use the USPIS report page.

If you see active mail theft, a carrier robbery, suspicious activity in progress, or a dangerous package, call 911 first. If medical attention is needed because of suspicious mail or a hazardous substance, call 911 immediately.

If you believe a USPS employee may be tampering with or stealing mail, USPIS may direct certain reports to the USPS Office of Inspector General. Keep photos, dates, tracking numbers, witness information, and any video or documentation.

USPS Text Scam, Phishing, and Fake Package Warning

Be careful with fake USPS texts, fake delivery notices, phishing emails, fake postage websites, counterfeit stamp ads, fake phone numbers, and package-redelivery fee scams. USPS-related smishing messages often claim a package cannot be delivered and ask you to click a link or pay a small fee.

    • USPS says it will not send customers text messages or emails about a package unless the customer first requested tracking for that specific package.
    • USPS tracking texts do not include links when sent through the official USPS text tracking service.
    • Do not click suspicious package-delivery links or enter payment information on lookalike USPS websites.
    • Forward suspicious USPS-related texts or emails to spam@uspis.gov.
    • Forward suspicious smishing texts to 7726 to help report the scam phone number.
    • If you entered payment or identity information on a suspicious site, contact your bank or card issuer immediately.
    • Buy stamps from USPS or trusted authorized sellers. Deep-discount postage and stamp offers may be counterfeit.

    Local Delivery Complaints and Escalation

Many USPS problems are local, such as missed pickups, route delays, mail delivered to the wrong address, repeated misdelivery, carrier-access issues, PO Box problems, and local Post Office service concerns. The local Post Office or local postmaster may be the best first escalation point for route-specific problems.

If the local office cannot resolve the issue, USPS customer care can create an electronic service record and route the problem to the appropriate local postal manager. For ongoing unresolved service issues, the Postal Regulatory Commission describes additional escalation through local District Consumer and Industry Affairs offices and the USPS Consumer Advocate.

How to Escalate a USPS Complaint

If USPS customer service does not resolve your issue, try these escalation steps:

    1. Save your tracking number, receipt, claim number, Missing Mail Search number, refund request, photos, and all USPS responses.
    2. Use the correct path: tracking support, Missing Mail Search, insurance claim, refund request, technical support, local Post Office, Postal Inspection Service, or Consumer Advocate.
    3. For a delivery issue, contact the local Post Office or postmaster and ask for a service record or local investigation.
    4. For a lost or delayed package, submit a Missing Mail Search when eligible and keep the confirmation email.
    5. For damaged or insured mail, file a claim with proof of mailing, proof of insurance, proof of value, photos, and packaging.
    6. For a denied claim, review the denial reason and file an appeal within the allowed appeal period if you have additional evidence.
    7. For mail theft, mail fraud, identity theft, counterfeit postage, or suspicious mail, report the issue to USPIS at 1-877-876-2455.
    8. For unresolved local service issues, ask USPS or the Postal Regulatory Commission resources about District Consumer and Industry Affairs contacts.
    9. For final internal USPS complaint escalation, write to the USPS Consumer Advocate with copies of prior case numbers and documentation.

    USPS Compared with Competitors

USPS competes with shipping, delivery, logistics, and courier services such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, Amazon delivery, OnTrac, LaserShip, regional carriers, local couriers, and freight providers. Customers comparing shipping options often look at price, delivery speed, reliability, tracking, insurance, claims handling, pickup options, rural delivery, PO Boxes, international service, package security, and how quickly customer service resolves problems.
