  • Dairy Queen Customer Service Phone Number & Complaints

Before contacting Dairy Queen customer service, decide whether your issue involves a recent restaurant visit, a DQ App order, delivery, a refund, DQ Rewards, a receipt scan, a gift card, a cake order, a coupon, a survey code, food quality, nutrition, allergens, accessibility, privacy, or a complaint about a specific location. Many DQ restaurants are independently owned and operated, so restaurant-level issues may need to be handled by the local franchise operator as well as Dairy Queen Fan Relations.

Dairy Queen Customer Service Phone Number and Support

Use the contact options below for Dairy Queen customer service, Fan Relations, restaurant feedback, app orders, DQ Rewards, gift cards, refunds, delivery, and complaints.

Important Corporate Address Update

Older Dairy Queen customer service pages may list 7505 Metro Blvd, Edina, MN 55439 as the corporate address. Dairy Queen’s current official contact page lists American Dairy Queen Corporation at 8000 Tower, Suite 700, 8331 Norman Center Drive, Bloomington, MN 55437.

For restaurant complaints, start with the local DQ restaurant when possible. Dairy Queen states that DQ restaurants are independently owned and operated franchised locations, and that comments about a particular restaurant should be directed to the independent franchise operator for immediate help. You can also submit feedback through the Dairy Queen contact form so the corporate ADQ team can forward it to the franchise operator.

Choose the Correct Dairy Queen Support Route

Dairy Queen customer service issues can involve a local franchise restaurant, Fan Relations, the DQ App, DQ Rewards, gift cards, delivery providers, cake ordering, catering, accessibility, or corporate resources. Choosing the correct route can help your issue get reviewed faster.

  • Restaurant complaint: Contact the local DQ restaurant or franchise operator first, then use the Dairy Queen contact form if the issue remains unresolved.
  • DQ App order issue: Use your app order details and contact Fan Relations or the store where the order was placed.
  • Delivery order issue: Contact the delivery provider if ordered through a third-party service. If ordered through the DQ App, the store may need to process the refund.
  • Refund request: Use the contact form and include the store, date, order, payment, and item details.
  • DQ Rewards issue: Sign in to the DQ App and review your points, rewards, account details, and receipt-scan options.
  • Receipt scan problem: DQ says receipts must be scanned within 7 days and that non-participating locations may not print a loyalty barcode.
  • Gift card issue: Use the gift card balance page or call 1-800-605-9371. Keep gift card numbers and PINs private.
  • Cake order issue: Contact the store where the cake was ordered or scheduled for pickup.
  • Nutrition or allergen question: Review Dairy Queen’s official nutrition and allergen information and contact the local restaurant for location-specific preparation questions.
  • Privacy or account issue: Use the DQ App account tools or official privacy/contact routes instead of posting personal details publicly.

What to Have Ready Before Contacting Dairy Queen

Before calling the Dairy Queen phone number, using the contact form, or contacting a local DQ restaurant, gather the details that apply to your issue.

  • Restaurant location, city, and state
  • Date and approximate time of visit or order
  • Receipt, order number, survey code, or app order details
  • Service type, such as drive-thru, dine-in, takeout, mobile order, delivery, catering, or cake pickup
  • Menu items ordered and items actually received
  • DQ Rewards account email or phone number, if relevant
  • Gift card details, shared only through official support routes
  • Photos of food quality, packaging, cake decoration, receipt, or issue, if helpful
  • Delivery platform name and order number, if ordered through delivery
  • A short explanation of what happened and the resolution you want

Do not post private information in the public review section below. Remove full receipts, order numbers, app screenshots, DQ Rewards screenshots, gift card numbers, gift card PINs, payment details, delivery addresses, phone numbers, emails, birthday/reward screenshots, cake-order details, children’s names or photos, employee names where unnecessary, and medical or allergy details before posting.

Common Reasons Customers Contact Dairy Queen Customer Service

Customers may contact Dairy Queen support for many restaurant, app, rewards, gift card, delivery, cake, and food-service issues, including:

  • Wrong food item, wrong Blizzard, or missing item
  • Refund request after an incorrect order
  • Drive-thru, dine-in, takeout, or app order complaint
  • Delivery order late, missing, incomplete, or damaged
  • DQ App login, payment, order, or technical issue
  • DQ Rewards points, receipt scans, deals, birthday rewards, or account issues
  • Gift card balance, damaged magnetic strip, lost card, or online gift card support
  • Cake order, custom cake, pickup, decoration, or bakery issue
  • Coupon, survey, QR code, promotion, or local offer problem
  • Food quality, melted treats, cold food, portion size, preparation, or product availability
  • Nutrition, ingredient, allergy, peanut/tree nut, or cross-contact questions
  • Store cleanliness, employee behavior, manager complaints, or franchise issues
  • Accessibility, privacy, account deletion, or personal-data requests

Restaurant Complaints, Missing Items, and Refund Help

If your issue involves a same-day restaurant visit, start with the local Dairy Queen restaurant when possible. Local managers and franchise operators may be able to address wrong orders, missing items, refunds, food quality, wait time, cleanliness, staff behavior, and store-specific concerns faster than the national contact center.

If the restaurant does not resolve the issue, use the Dairy Queen contact form or call 1-866-793-7582. Include the restaurant address, date, time, receipt, order details, and the resolution requested.

For refunds, Dairy Queen’s FAQ says refunds for DQ App delivery orders need to be processed by the store where the order was placed. If the order was placed through a third-party delivery service, the ordering provider may control the refund, credit, delivery fee, and driver-related issue.

DQ App, Mobile Orders, Rewards, and Receipt Scans

DQ App and Rewards issues may involve login, password reset, verification codes, points, receipt scanning, offers, birthday rewards, favorite location changes, account deletion, or app compatibility.

Dairy Queen says receipts must be scanned within 7 days before they expire. If a receipt does not have a loyalty barcode, the purchase may be from a DQ location that does not participate in DQ Rewards and may not be eligible for points.

If points or rewards are missing, keep the receipt, order details, store location, account email, and screenshot of the offer if available. For receipt scan problems, use the app FAQ and contact Fan Relations with a photo of the receipt if needed.

If you receive a verification code you did not request, change your password and avoid reusing the same password across multiple accounts.

Gift Cards, Balance Checks, and Gift Card Scam Warnings

Dairy Queen gift cards can be used at participating DQ and Orange Julius locations in the United States when purchased in U.S. currency. You can check a DQ gift card balance online or by calling 1-800-605-9371.

Dairy Queen says gift cards should be treated like cash. If a gift card is lost or stolen, replacement may depend on whether you can provide the 16-digit gift card number and proof of purchase.

Gift cards are commonly used in scams. Do not use Dairy Queen gift cards or any other gift cards to pay taxes, bail, utility bills, debt collectors, tech support callers, medical bills, prize fees, shipping fees, or anyone claiming there is an emergency. Never post gift card numbers, PINs, barcodes, QR codes, or screenshots in public comments.

Dairy Queen Cakes, Catering, and Special Orders

Dairy Queen cake and catering questions are often handled by participating local restaurants. If your issue involves a cake order, custom decoration, pickup time, wrong cake, damaged cake, missing message, or refund, contact the store where the order was placed.

For catering, Dairy Queen’s FAQ says catering orders can be placed at participating locations in store, online at DQ.com, in the DQ Rewards app, and through third-party delivery apps. Same-day catering orders may need to be placed at least 30 minutes ahead of pickup, and some catering orders can be placed up to 7 days in advance.

Keep cake and catering receipts, order confirmations, pickup times, event dates, photos, and store details private unless submitting through official support channels.

Coupons, Surveys, Promotions, and Local Offers

Dairy Queen promotions may vary by location because many DQ restaurants are independently owned and operated. Dairy Queen’s FAQ explains that decisions to participate in coupon offers or promotions can be made by the franchise operator.

If a coupon, app deal, survey code, or QR code does not work, keep the receipt, promotion terms, screenshot, location, and expiration date. For survey problems, Dairy Queen’s FAQ says customers can use the restaurant’s 10-digit phone number from the receipt when the QR code or survey code does not work, and can contact support with a photo of the receipt if the issue continues.

Do not post coupon codes, survey codes, personal phone numbers, emails, account screenshots, or receipt photos with private details in public comments.

Food Quality, Nutrition, Allergens, and Product Availability

For food quality complaints, include the restaurant location, date, time, receipt, product, and a clear description of the issue. Examples may include an incorrect Blizzard, melted treat, wrong size, cold food, missing toppings, unavailable product, small portion, food preparation problem, or cleanliness concern.

For nutrition and allergen questions, use Dairy Queen’s official nutrition information and product pages. Dairy Queen says nutrition and allergen charts are available online and that product pages include nutrition, ingredients, and allergen information.

Dairy Queen’s FAQ says DQ restaurants are not nut-free, and many locations are independently owned and operated. Contact your local restaurant directly if you need to ask about peanut, tree nut, or other allergy accommodation questions. If you have a serious allergy or medical concern, consult a qualified healthcare professional and do not post medical details publicly.

Delivery, Third-Party Orders, and Driver Issues

Dairy Queen delivery can be available through the DQ App, DQ.com, and third-party delivery services at participating locations. The right support route depends on where the order was placed.

If a third-party delivery driver or delivery handling caused the problem, Dairy Queen’s FAQ says the delivery provider handles those details. Contact the delivery service for driver issues, delivery fees, missing deliveries, app credits, and some refunds.

If the order was placed through the DQ App and you need a refund, contact the store where the order was placed. Keep the order number, delivery platform, restaurant, photos, receipt, and support response.

Privacy, Account Safety, and Scam Warning

Be careful with fake Dairy Queen support numbers, fake gift card giveaways, fake free Blizzard offers, prize scams, phishing emails, social media impersonators, and lookalike websites. Scammers may ask for gift card numbers, payment details, verification codes, bank logins, app login details, or remote access to your device.

Use official Dairy Queen support routes when sharing order, account, gift card, or payment information. Do not give your account password, full payment card number, security code, gift card PIN, or verification code to someone who contacts you unexpectedly.

For privacy or account deletion issues, use the DQ App account tools or Dairy Queen’s official privacy/contact routes. Do not post account screenshots, passwords, verification codes, personal location data, or payment details in public comments.

Dairy Queen Complaints and Escalation Tips

Start with the local DQ restaurant when the issue involves a same-day order, wrong item, missing item, cake order, refund request, cleanliness issue, employee behavior, or store-specific complaint. Dairy Queen’s own contact guidance says local franchise operators can provide immediate and personal assistance for a particular restaurant.

If the restaurant does not resolve the issue, use the Dairy Queen contact form or call Fan Relations at 1-866-793-7582. Include the restaurant location, date, time, receipt, order details, photos if useful, and the resolution requested.

If the issue remains unresolved, keep a written record of contacts, case numbers, receipts, screenshots with private details removed, and promised follow-up. Depending on the issue, you may also need to contact a delivery app, payment card issuer, gift card support, local health department, franchise owner, or accessibility/privacy support route.

What to Expect When Contacting Dairy Queen

Dairy Queen support may ask for your name, email, phone number, restaurant location, receipt, order details, app details, rewards account context, gift card details, photos, and a description of the issue.

Some issues can be reviewed by Fan Relations. Others may be routed back to the local franchise operator because many DQ restaurants are independently owned and operated. App, rewards, gift card, delivery, cake, and privacy issues may require separate review depending on the support path.

Dairy Queen Review in NJ

July 8, 2014

I visited my local Dairy Queen today on RT. 42 in Turnersville NJ to get ice cream for my kids after a very long day. I have visited this location before and have never had a problem; however today after asking to cancel my order due to a discrepancy with a coupon that I presented (I did not have enough money to purchase the items without acceptance of the coupon). The person assisting me was extremely rude and disrespectful to me. His behavior upset me AND MY YOUNG CHILDREN who were witness to this unnecessary reaction. I will NEVER go to this Dairy Queen again!

Dairy Queen Ripley TN

May 8, 2014

I went to the Ripley Tenn Dairy Queen and ordered a burger with no cheese with mustard and all the veggies, and received a burger with mustard and pickles. the person who took my order apparently couldn’t hear the order or read it since it was written down and shown to her. This will be my last visit to this hamburger joint.
