Gillette Customer Service: Product Support, Returns, Warranty and Reviews

Gillette customers commonly need help with defective blades, a razor that caused a cut, an incompatible cartridge, a trimmer that stopped working, a missing online order, a recurring shipment, a return, or a warranty claim. The best support route depends on whether the product was purchased directly from Gillette.com or from a retailer and whether the problem involves an ordinary razor, blade cartridge, shave-preparation product, powered trimmer, or GilletteLabs device.

For product questions and complaints in the United States, call Gillette Consumer Support at 1-800-445-5388 or use Gillette’s official P&G Consumer Support page.

Gillette Customer Service Phone Number and Hours

Gillette’s verified U.S. Consumer Support number is 1-800-445-5388. The line handles questions and complaints involving razors, blades, shaving preparations, trimmers, GilletteLabs products, product availability, quality concerns, and warranty questions.

Gillette’s current FAQ displays telephone support Monday–Friday from 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. Eastern Time. A separate P&G support page may show a slightly different mid-day break. Customers should confirm the current hours through the official contact page.

Information to Have Before Calling Gillette

  • Exact product name
  • Razor, blade, cartridge, trimmer, gel, foam, cream, or accessory type
  • Model or type number for powered devices
  • Package size and blade count
  • Lot, batch, or manufacturing code when available
  • Purchase date and retailer
  • Receipt or proof of purchase
  • Description of the problem
  • Date the problem occurred
  • Photographs of the product, packaging, and defect
  • Order number for a Gillette.com purchase
  • Existing complaint or warranty reference number

Provide complete identifying information only through Gillette’s private support process. Do not publish lot codes, order numbers, claim numbers, receipts, payment information, or personal contact details in a public review.

Reporting a Defective Gillette Razor or Blade

Contact Gillette when a new or properly used product appears to have a manufacturing or assembly problem. Examples include:

  • A blade or cartridge component detaching
  • A cartridge not locking securely into the handle
  • A broken or cracked razor handle
  • Sharp plastic edges or unexpected exposed components
  • A trimmer blade or attachment failing during normal use
  • A shave-gel or foam dispenser that will not dispense properly
  • A product arriving damaged, leaking, or incomplete
  • A package containing the wrong quantity or product

Stop using a product that appears unsafe. Keep the razor, blade, packaging, remaining cartridges, receipt, and any detached components when it is safe to do so. Gillette may request photographs, lot information, purchase information, or return of the product for evaluation.

Do not mail blades, razors, aerosol products, lithium-battery devices, or potentially contaminated products to One Gillette Park or another address unless Gillette provides specific packaging and shipping instructions.

What to Do After a Cut or Shaving Injury

Stop using the razor or blade when it causes an unexpected cut or appears damaged. Preserve the product and packaging if doing so does not create an additional hazard.

When reporting the problem to Gillette, explain:

  • The product and cartridge type
  • Whether it was the first use
  • Whether the blade or cartridge appeared damaged
  • Where and when the product was purchased
  • Whether any part detached or broke
  • Whether medical attention was obtained
  • Whether property or another product was affected

Seek appropriate medical care for a deep cut, persistent bleeding, signs of infection, eye exposure, severe allergic reaction, or another urgent condition. CustomerServiceNumbers.com and Gillette Customer Support are not substitutes for emergency or medical care.

Do not post graphic injury photographs, medical records, diagnosis information, prescription information, or other private health details in a public review.

Gillette Skin Irritation and Product-Reaction Complaints

Customers may contact Gillette about redness, irritation, burning, rash, discomfort, razor bumps, or an unexpected reaction to a shaving or grooming product.

Stop using the suspected product and retain the container or packaging. Record the ingredient list, product code, purchase date, date of use, area where the product was used, and any other grooming or skin-care products used at the same time.

For a serious or rapidly worsening reaction, breathing difficulty, facial swelling, eye exposure, or another medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

Gillette can document a product complaint, but it does not replace a physician, pharmacist, poison-control center, or emergency service.

Gillette.com Orders, Shipping and Tracking

Customers who buy directly through Gillette.com can review purchases through their account and Order History.

Gillette states that standard orders are typically delivered within seven to ten business days. Deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii, military addresses, and extended areas may take longer. Customers receive tracking information after an order ships.

Missing Gillette.com Order

If tracking shows that a package was delivered but it cannot be located:

  1. Confirm the delivery address.
  2. Check around entrances, parcel lockers, mailrooms, and other secure delivery locations.
  3. Ask household members, building staff, or neighbors whether they accepted it.
  4. Review the carrier’s delivery details.
  5. Contact Gillette through its official support page.

Keep the order number, tracking number, delivery date, carrier information, and item list available. Do not post those details publicly.

Wrong, Missing or Damaged Items

Contact Gillette.com support when a direct order arrives damaged, contains an incorrect item, or is missing merchandise. Photograph the carton, shipping label, packing materials, products received, and visible damage before discarding the packaging.

Products purchased from another retailer must normally be reported to that retailer for shipping or fulfillment problems.

Can a Gillette.com Order Be Canceled?

Gillette states that it begins processing one-time orders as soon as they are placed, so cancellation is generally not available after checkout.

If the order is no longer wanted, wait for delivery and determine whether it qualifies for the 30-day return process. Do not refuse a package or mail it to a corporate address unless Gillette instructs you to do so.

Changing an address in the Gillette account affects future orders and may not change an order that has already entered processing or shipped.

Gillette.com Returns and Refunds

Eligible purchases made directly through Gillette.com may generally be returned within 30 days.

How to Start a Gillette.com Return

  1. Sign in to the Gillette account.
  2. Open Order History.
  3. Find the affected order.
  4. Select Return Items.
  5. Submit the return request.
  6. Wait for Gillette to review the request and provide a return label.
  7. Ship the approved return according to the instructions.

Gillette states that it issues a full refund after receiving an approved return. Refund timing may depend on processing and the original payment provider.

Retailer Returns

Products purchased from CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Target, Amazon, a grocery store, pharmacy, warehouse club, or another retailer follow that seller’s return and refund policy.

The retailer may require a receipt, original packaging, membership account, purchase card, or return within a stated deadline. Gillette Consumer Support handles product complaints, while the retailer normally controls its own refund decision.

Contacting Gillette does not automatically pause or extend a retailer’s return deadline.

Gillette Subscription and Recurring Order Help

Gillette offers recurring-delivery options on eligible products, and Gillette products may also be included in subscription programs operated by retailers.

The company processing the recurring charge controls the subscription. Review the receipt, confirmation email, account, and card statement to determine whether the subscription belongs to Gillette.com, Amazon, Walmart, Target, another retailer, or a financing provider.

How to Manage a Gillette.com Subscription

  1. Sign in to the Gillette account.
  2. Open My Subscriptions.
  3. Select the subscription.
  4. Change the frequency, delivery date, address, or payment method when available.
  5. Select the cancellation option and save the confirmation.

Gillette’s store terms say changes or cancellations should be completed at least 24 hours before a recurring order’s scheduled processing date to avoid the next charge. Once the order is processed and shipped, it generally must be handled under the return policy.

Save the cancellation date, confirmation email, scheduled processing date, charge date, and shipment notice if a billing dispute arises.

Gillette Trimmer Four-Year Warranty

Certain eligible Gillette and King C. Gillette trimmers have a four-year limited warranty for the original purchaser when bought from an authorized retailer.

The warranty applies only to the specified covered models and may include the qualifying product, T-blade parts, or blade oil when applicable. It does not automatically apply to every Gillette razor, cartridge, attachment, accessory, or grooming product.

How to Submit a Gillette Trimmer Warranty Claim

  1. Visit the official Gillette four-year warranty page.
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the requested contact and purchase information.
  4. Select the retailer and purchase date.
  5. Identify the eligible trimmer.
  6. Describe the problem.
  7. Upload or retain proof of purchase as requested.

Gillette states that product registration is no longer required for warranty or support, but customers should retain the original receipt.

What the Trimmer Warranty Generally Excludes

  • Normal wear
  • Cosmetic changes from normal use
  • Accidental damage or dropping
  • Misuse or abuse
  • Tampering or unauthorized modification
  • Unreasonable or commercial use
  • Failure to perform reasonable maintenance
  • Cartridges and separately purchased accessories

Review the official terms and model list before assuming that a trimmer qualifies.

GilletteLabs Razor Limited Lifetime Warranty

The GilletteLabs Razor with Exfoliating Bar handle has a separate limited lifetime warranty for eligible purchases from authorized retailers.

The warranty applies to the original owner and the original handle and exfoliating bar. It does not cover cartridges or separately purchased accessories.

When a qualifying defect is verified, Gillette may replace the handle, provide a prepaid card based on the applicable retail value, or provide a similar product. Proof of purchase is required.

The warranty excludes normal wear, cosmetic changes, accidental damage, dropping, misuse, abuse, tampering, commercial use, and inadequate maintenance.

Call 1-800-445-5388 to begin a claim involving the GilletteLabs Exfoliating Bar handle.

Other Gillette Product Warranties

Gillette powered products may have different warranty periods and conditions. A Heated Razor, trimmer, grooming device, handle, cartridge, and manual razor should not be assumed to have the same coverage.

Review the packaging, user manual, product page, and warranty document for the exact model. Contact Gillette Consumer Support when the applicable warranty cannot be located.

Finding Compatible Gillette Blades and Handles

Not every Gillette blade cartridge fits every handle. Gillette sells several product families, including:

  • GilletteLabs
  • Fusion5
  • ProGlide
  • ProShield
  • SkinGuard
  • Mach3
  • Sensor
  • Heated Razor cartridges
  • King C. Gillette double-edge blades
  • Disposable razor systems

Check the handle name, cartridge packaging, product page, and compatibility instructions before opening a package. A retailer may decline a return of opened blades for hygiene or safety reasons.

Do not force a cartridge onto an incompatible handle or modify the connection system.

Discontinued or Hard-to-Find Gillette Products

One historical CSN review concerns difficulty finding Gillette Foamy Menthol shaving cream. Product formulas, package sizes, fragrances, and distribution can change, and a product may become unavailable nationally or only in certain stores.

For an unavailable product:

  • Search Gillette.com.
  • Call 1-800-445-5388 to ask whether the product was discontinued, renamed, reformulated, or replaced.
  • Check authorized national retailers.
  • Compare the UPC or exact product name.
  • Use caution with expired, damaged, or unusually priced products from marketplace sellers.

Gillette Consumer Support may be able to identify a current alternative but may not be able to locate remaining inventory at individual stores.

Counterfeit Gillette Razor and Blade Concerns

Consumers should be cautious when buying unusually inexpensive blades from unknown marketplace sellers, social-media advertisements, liquidation listings, or websites that imitate established retailers.

Possible warning signs include:

  • Poor printing or spelling errors on the package
  • Missing product or lot codes
  • Loose or damaged cartridges
  • Blades that do not fit correctly
  • Unusual materials, colors, lubrication strips, or packaging
  • A seller that will not provide a receipt or return option
  • A price substantially below normal authorized-retailer pricing

Do not continue using a blade that appears counterfeit, damaged, contaminated, or improperly assembled. Report it to Gillette and the marketplace or retailer and preserve the listing, seller information, receipt, packaging, and photographs.

Gillette Product Recalls and Safety Notices

A recall applies only to the specific product, model, lot, manufacturing period, and remedy identified in the official notice. A complaint about one razor or grooming product does not mean that all Gillette products are recalled.

Consumers can review:

When reporting a possible hazard, provide the complete product name, model or type number, lot code, purchase date, seller, description of the incident, and photographs when appropriate.

How to Escalate a Gillette Complaint

Gillette does not publish a separate consumer complaint or executive-escalation number. Begin with Consumer Support and maintain a clear record of the case.

  1. Call or submit the official support form. Use 1-800-445-5388 or P&G Consumer Support.
  2. Request a case number. Save the date, representative, department, and promised next step.
  3. Identify the correct issue. State whether it involves quality, safety, injury, warranty, order fulfillment, return, refund, subscription, availability, or possible counterfeit merchandise.
  4. Provide evidence privately. Include photographs, packaging, lot information, receipts, tracking, and prior correspondence as requested.
  5. Ask for supervisor review. Request escalation if the first representative cannot resolve the complaint.
  6. Contact the retailer when appropriate. The retailer controls its return policy, while Gillette handles product-quality reports and manufacturer warranties.
  7. Report a serious safety concern. Contact the appropriate product-safety agency when warranted.
  8. Use corporate correspondence only after ordinary support. Do not send product returns or blades to the Boston or Cincinnati offices without written authorization.

What to Include in a Gillette Complaint

  • Exact product name
  • Package quantity
  • Model, type, lot, or batch code
  • Purchase date and seller
  • Receipt or order information
  • Description and date of the problem
  • Whether an injury or property damage occurred
  • Whether the issue affected one item or several items
  • Customer-support case number
  • Retailer response
  • Requested resolution

Possible resolutions may include product information, replacement, refund review, warranty replacement, missing-order investigation, return authorization, subscription cancellation, product-quality evaluation, or written explanation.

Gillette Corporate Office and P&G Ownership

Gillette is a Procter & Gamble grooming brand. The Gillette Company LLC and Gillette Commercial Operations maintain a business presence at One Gillette Park in Boston.

  • Gillette business entity: The Gillette Company LLC
  • Gillette business address: One Gillette Park, Boston, MA 02127
  • Parent company: The Procter & Gamble Company
  • P&G headquarters: One Procter & Gamble Plaza, Cincinnati, OH 45202
  • P&G corporate switchboard: 1-513-983-1100

The Boston office and P&G headquarters are not customer-facing retail stores, repair centers, return warehouses, or blade-disposal facilities. Product support should begin with 1-800-445-5388.

Gillette Customer Service Reviews and Complaints

CustomerServiceNumbers.com currently shows Gillette with 3.0 out of 5 stars based on four reviews.

The reviews were submitted between August 2015 and April 2016, making this a small historical sample rather than a current measurement of Gillette’s overall customer service or product quality.

The visible reviews concern:

  • A blade component allegedly detaching and falling into a cup of coffee
  • A request for information about a purported antique Gillette shaving set from 1904
  • A reviewer reporting a facial cut while using a new Mach-series razor
  • A longtime customer having difficulty finding Gillette Foamy Menthol shaving cream

The live reviews do not establish current patterns involving product pricing, blade longevity, telephone wait times, warranty approvals, online orders, subscription cancellation, or customer-support responsiveness.

Gillette 1904 Antique Shaving Set

April 12, 2016

Gillette, I have a complete antique traveling shaving kit in its original wooden box. It includes a Sterling Safety Razor, three large single-edged blades, and four double-edged King Gillette blades in their original package, dated November 15, 1904, with a picture printed on it. The kit also contains a horsehair brush, shaving cream, and what may be an aftershave cream or treatment for razor burn. The packaging says it was made in New York City and originally cost 25 cents. The razor box is marked “L. M. Prince, Optician, 134 W. Fourth Street, Cincinnati, Ohio.” It also includes blade number 135, marked “Kampfe Bros., N.Y., Warranted.” Everything appears to be original and dates from around 1904. I would like information about how this early safety razor worked, its possible value, and whether it might be suitable for a museum display.
