8/23/2012 Vision Airlines - In June,we booked two round trip flights on Vision
In June,we booked two round trip flights on Vision Airway from Cleveland to Myrtle Beach. We did this on line through Expedia and paid with a credit card. About three weeks ago Vision left us a message on our answering machine saying that the flights had been cancelled. Sometimes, the answering machine inadvertanly erases messages due to thunder storms. If this would have happened, In September , we would have been at the Cleveland airport without a flight. Vision never made any attempt to contact us directly to be sure we were informed of the cancellation. Just a brief message on the answering machine. I contacted Vision for a refund and was told that we had booked through Expedia, Expedia would be responsible for the refund. I then called Expedia and was told it was Vision Air who must refund the money since it was Vision who cancelled the flights. After a few weeks of going back & forth between Expedia & Vision, I contacted the "Consumer Protection" department at the Georgia Governor's office. They were very receptive to my complaint and asked me to furnish their office with copies of all my records. They can be reached at 404-651- 8600 I contacted them because Vision Airway's corperate offices are located in Georgia.

8/20/2012 Vision Airlines - SAT AT GREATER CINCINNATI AIRPORT SUNDAY AUGUST 12
SAT AT GREATER CINCINNATI AIRPORT SUNDAY AUGUST 12 FOR A FLIGHT THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO LEAVE AT 9:45 A.M. FOR 12 HOURS BEFORE THEY FINALLY TOLD US OUR FLIGHT WOULD BE THE FOLLOWING DAY AT 2:45 P.M. 35 HOURS OF LIES - FIRST MECHANICAL PROBLEMS, THEN MECHANICS HAS TO COME UP FROM LOUISVILLE, KY. THEN WE WERE GOING TO BE ON ANOTHER PLANE COMING FORM MIAMI. FINALLY 8:00 THAT NIGHT NO PLANE WOULD BE TAKING US ANYWHERE UNTIL THE NEXT AFTERNOON. LOST 2 DAYS AT CONDO IN MYRTLE BEACH WHICH WAS PAID FOR. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WILL NEVER FLY THIS AIRLINES AGAIN. I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY CAN STAY IN BUSINESS, I HEARD THIS SAME THING HAPPENED THE WEEK BEFORE. ALSO I JUST KEEP READING SIMILAR STORIES FROM OTHER CITIES WITH THE SAME CIRCUMSTANCES. AVOID THIS AIRLINES. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

7/6/2012 Vision Airlines - Don't EVER fly with Vision! Even if you want to
Don't EVER fly with Vision! Even if you want to support flights out of your home town, like I did. Vision entered the Toledo, Ohio market and pulled out after only one month, citing low ticket sales. It is ridiculous to think a company can establish its name and customer base in less than one month. Now, it is taking over two-three weeks to obtain the refund on my credit card. It didn't take them that long to charge my card. Vision customer service apparently can't seem to look up any information to provide answers. This airline is a JOKE!

3/16/2012 Vision Airlines - We just returned from the Bahamas after flying
We just returned from the Bahamas after flying with Vision Airlines. What a nightmare!!! What should have been a two hour direct flight from Richmond to Freeport, turned into a 13 hour fiasco. At 11:30 am we received notice from Vision that our flight would be delayed for 6 hours due to "mechanical problems". When we did arrive at the airport, our 7:20 flight was delayed yet again for another hour -with no communication from Vision. When we did board the plane, we were informed that our "direct" flight would be making a stop in Raleigh to drop off passengers. We flew to Raleigh to drop off passengers only to find that we were also picking up passengers. We sat for another hour and a half with no explanation from the crew. We finally take off for the Bahamas. Freeport is in sight and we begin to descend, then again with NO explanation, begin to ascend back into the air and circle for about half an hour - NO COMMUNICATION. Finally the pilot comes on to tell us that we are flying to Fort Lauderdale because the airport in the Bahamas is closed. I cannot express the outrage that went through the plane at this point. Did Vision not contact the airport before we left?! I'm not a professional within air transport but this just seems like common sense to me. We land in Fort Lauderdale and sit for half hour - NO COMMUNICATION. Then the pilot comes on to say, " Ladies and Gentleman, we're going to fuel up and get you back out there." Out where???!!!!! You just said the airport was closed. We sat in Fort Lauderdale for two hours and 45 minutes before landing in Freeport at about 4 am, Tuesday morning. We had very little to eat or drink - cookies and pretzels. With the poor communication and organization of this airline, I truly cannot recommend it. Attempts to file complaints or obtain any minimal compensation have been met with uncaring, apathetic response. This seems to be a business that has no business operating and is unwilling to take responsibility for their actions. Shame on Vision Airlines!!

1/26/2012 Vision Airlines is a JOKE!!! Don't fly this
Vision Airlines is a JOKE!!! Don't fly this airline...EVER!! Pay the extra money and go with a larger more established airline. I was on flight 677 leaving BWI to Freeport Bahamas on January 26th. My initial complaint is that no one informed us of the flight delay until well after the boarding time passed. The departure boards and gate screens all displayed on time. Vision didn't even show the flight on their website, as if it never existed. My second complaint is that customer service wasn't very helpful. I was initially told there were mechanic delays, then they were unsure of the cause for delay and I was very rudely hung up on my the customer service rep. I was later informed that the flight would be delayed by 4-5 hours, as the flight in Ft. Lauderdale had to depart, fly to the Bahamas and return to Baltimore.  I basically spent my whole day in the airport, which is unacceptable given the fact there were no major weather conditions or other causes for such a delay.

This matter is of great concern as it is not the first time for such delay. Through research I discovered the same flight 3 days prior on January 22 was delayed over 5 hours as well, and mechanical issues were the cause for delay.  It is concerning that the same flight would have mechanical issues twice within the same week. Is regular maintenance completed by Vision and does Vision adhere to FAA standards?  These are questions that I have and will be certain to present my concerns to the FAA.

Needless to say my fist experience flying with vision was not pleasant, and this will be my last.

8/25/2011 Vision Airlines - Just found out today that my flight from Little
Just found out today that my flight from Little Rock to Destin has been cancelled for Sept 22. My condo has already been paid for & it's past the 30-day cancellation date. Vision will not refund my money for 14 days & I had to book another more expensive flight with Delta. The customer service rep at Vision was very unprofessional. I hope others find out about their poor service before booking a flight with them. BEWARE of VISION AIRLINES!!!

8/19/2011 Vision Airlines - I had a full fare ticket ($281.98) on Vision
I had a full fare ticket ($281.98) on Vision Airlines to depart Little Rock, AR on Flight No V2 617, August 9th at 11:10 a.m. to Northwest Florida Regional Airport, Dstin, FL and return on Thursday, August 11th, (Flight No. V2 626. My Reservation Number was NAB292. I arrived at the Vision Airlines counter in Little Rock, AR at 10:15 a.m. for my 11:10 flight. There was no one at the desk and there was a sign saying the counter was closed 45 minutes before flight time and I would be booked on the next flight which was Thursday. There were 2 other people at the counter and they said they had been there 5-10 minutes and had not been able to find anyone. Right after arrivewd 2 other people arrived to check in. We called Airport Customer Service and they paged Vision Airlines to have someone report to the desk, but no one ever did. Therefore, there were 6 people who missed this flight due to no error on our part as we had all arrived more than 45 minutes before flight time. I have spoken to Vision Airlines and they would only agree to give me $246.00 in airline credit. We then asked for a supervisor and have never been able to speak to anyone. My son, Michael Powell, has left messages 3-4 times daily and no one has ever responded. I have been president of a Life Insurance Company for the past 35 years and would never dream of giving such poor service.

7/5/2011 Vision Airlines - On Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11:15 am, I flew
On Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11:15 am, I flew nine (9) family members from Shreveport, LA to Sanford Orlando, Florida using Visions Airlines. On Tuesday, June 28, 2011 we were scheduled to leave Sanford Orlando at 4:15pm to return to Shreveport, Louisiana at 6:30 pm. Visions airlines did not pick us up until 1am June 29th, offereing several delay reasons such as mechanical problems and weather related reasons. Visions flew us into Destin,Florida and dropped us off between 1 and 2am. . After, a two hour wait they told us that they would not be taking us to shreveport until the next day at 12:00 pm and suggested that we sleep in the airport or go to a hotel and that they would not be paying for the hotel. keep in mind that I had three children traveling with me that were under the age of 2. Vision airline gave us a $10.00 food voucher for our worries and it was barely enought to cover a meal and a drink. We were on flight 618. This was the first time my kids and mother had ever flown and this trip was suppose to be an exciting vacation for my family and it turned out to be a very depressing nightmare. I paid them over $2200 for some horrible memories, and they will not even return my call. I do not recommend this airlines to anyone unless you want to hang out in the airport.

Totally unprofessional! My family was on the shreveport end of this fiasco trying to get to Destin. After reading Kathy's comment, I see we were told some BS! Vision knew the flight would be cancelled long before they announced it and they apparently used weather as the reason so they would not have to re-imburse any of us. Granted the weather was bad but after speaking with a friend in Destin, the weather had cleared. Word on the street today is mechanical problems were culprit! I will NEVER use Vision again regardless of how cheap it is. You get what you pay for.
