GM Customer Support Reviews and Complaints

When considering purchasing a vehicle from GM, it’s helpful to review their customer service feedback. GM competes with other major automotive manufacturers such as Ford, Toyota, Honda, and Stellantis. Customer reviews often highlight the variety and quality of GM’s vehicle lineup, from budget-friendly models like the Chevrolet Spark to luxury vehicles like the Cadillac Escalade. Many customers appreciate GM’s commitment to innovation, particularly in electric vehicles (EVs) like the Chevrolet Bolt EV. However, some complaints focus on issues related to vehicle reliability, the effectiveness of the warranty coverage, and the responsiveness of customer support.
Comparing GM with other automotive manufacturers like Ford, Toyota, Honda, and FCA can help you determine which brand offers the best combination of vehicle quality, innovation, and customer support for your automotive needs.

GM eAssist Issues

September 15, 2018

GM, I recently purchased a 2018 Silverado LTZ 4×4 with eAssist. The sales staff could not answer questions about this feature. 2 days later I bought the truck. After driving it and getting it to operating temperature the eAssist started working. Every time there is a thump or bump when it starts back up. I called the dealer and complained about that and a ignition key issue. They said if I didn’t like the truck they would find me another one without this feature. Well it has been a week and after calling them back at less 6 times and getting promises on the phone they have yet to contact me back. I have been a loyal GM customer for 50 years and would stand my ground when things were not going good for GM. Why can’t the dealer get me out of that truck. I wish they would have explained to me more about eAssist. It may be good for some but not me.
