I recently purchased a 2018 Silverado LTZ 4×4 with eAssist. The sales staff could not answer questions about this feature. 2 days later I bought the truck. After driving it and getting it to operating tempature the eAssist started working. Every time there is a thump or bump when it starts back up. I called the dealer and complained about that and a ignition key issue. They said if I didn’t like the truck they would find me another one without this feature. Well it has been a week and after calling them back at less 6 times and getting promises on the phone they have yet to contact me back. I have been a loyal GM customer for 50 years and would stand my ground when things were not going good for GM. Why can’t the dealer get me out of that truck. I wish they would have explained to me more about eAssist. It may be good for some but not me.

I take responsibility for my mistake in buying a Cadillac back in 2015. I had knowledge of the bad press their navigation system has but ignored it. As a retired airline pilot I have extensive experience with complex nav systems, operator error was not the issue. This problem could probably be fixed via soft ware upgrade(s). But they need to first admit the problem, fire the person responsible for it and try to fix customer relations. When I purchased a map update the sales person flat lied when I asked “is this a life long update like Garmin provides?” The answer was “yes”. I recently pulled into a parking place, the person next to me saw my Garmin and said “I thought the Cadillac came with a nav system.” My reply was I would not go so far as to call it that. I doubt they will do any thing, but if you are a prospective buyer BE AWARE. MY 2016 GMC TRUCK IS SOME BETTER BUT NOT NEAR THE QUALITY OF MY OLD GARMIN. I stand by my statement. My warrantyr has expired on my 2015 2500HD LTZ Duramax at 41K miles. A small deterioration has happened in the drivers seat. No problem in my last truck until 160K miles when the leather cracked. I am REALLY disappointed especially with the price I paid for the truck and these leather seats. How about some help????

I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2015 Cadillac Escalade in March 2016. At the time of purchase, the SUV had 42,000 miles on it. It currently has 58,000, meaning I only put 16,000 miles on the vehicle. I took the truck to Barksdale to get serviced and was informed that the suspension has gone out on a truck that I have not owned a year. Barksdale refuse to repair this issue and I’m feeling like I was sold a lemon. I have owned several vehicles and currently still have a 2007 Tahoe(10 years old) never have a had any trouble with the suspension or anything else. When I spoke with the manager about the issue, he blamed the Jackson streets! I do not live in Jackson nor do I travel to that area. I live in Clinton, Ms and the streets are not the issue! Apparently, I purchased a vehicle from a dishonest dealership! Please help me with this issue.

Do what I did. Go to a body & fender shop, and have them cut the valance to make it shorter.

What has happened since? I am having almost the EXACT same issue with a 2009 Avalanche. Took it in at 98K they said it was fine. Engine pressure sitting at 20 psi and lower and burning (not leaking) oil. They drove it over 200 miles for a week and found nothing. Gave it back and said if anything happened to engine it would be covered. Dead cylinder at 108K and now dealership says GM won’t warranty it and GM claims dealership is one to make the decision. Did my research and that dead cylinder has broken lifter, very easily a low oil issue. Cam shaft rebuild and cylinder 7 lifter needed. Repairs at $3800 through dealer but they’ll offer $500 rebate trade in. I was livid. I would love to talk to you to see how/if GM resolved. I’m considering getting legal representation.

Yes i have an 2002 Grandam Gt and i understand that these cars was an recall when i say everything is wrong with this car i mean just that from ignition switch til all my lights are on my dashboard are on bad Rack-pinion,bad alignment you name it i have the problem so who can i speak to in reference to these problem someone call me but i cold not understand nothing they where saying on my voice mail bad English.
