Whirlpool Customer Service Phone Number, Repairs and Reviews

Whirlpool customer service provides help with washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, ranges, ovens and other Whirlpool appliances. The official U.S. Whirlpool customer service phone number is 1-866-698-2538. Whirlpool currently lists telephone and live chat hours as Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST, with support closed on weekends. Use telephone support for urgent matters or complex troubleshooting. For routine questions, order updates, manuals, warranty information or basic troubleshooting, an official online support route may be faster. Have the appliance model and serial number ready, but provide unique serial numbers and order details only through Whirlpool’s private official channels, not in a public review.

Support schedules can change during holidays or operational disruptions. Check Whirlpool’s official contact page before calling if the timing is important.

Which Whirlpool support route should you use?

  • Appliance operation or error-code question: Start with Whirlpool Product Help and the manuals and literature search.
  • Appliance has stopped working: Try model-specific troubleshooting and then use the official Whirlpool repair scheduling portal when service is needed.
  • Warranty question: Locate the written warranty for the exact model before assuming a repair, part, replacement or labor charge is covered.
  • Whirlpool.com order: Use the official order-tracking page or the Whirlpool.com return route.
  • Purchase from another retailer: Contact that retailer about its return, refund, exchange, delivery or store-protection-plan rules.
  • Possible safety issue or recall: Check Whirlpool’s official product-recall information before arranging an ordinary paid repair.

Repairs, Warranties and Service Plans

Before requesting service, gather the model number, serial number, purchase date, retailer, proof of purchase, error code and a clear description of the problem. Also keep any existing Whirlpool case number, technician report, repair-order number and part-order information. Whirlpool says its appliance limited warranty typically lasts one year, but the duration and coverage depend on the appliance and model. Use the model number to locate the written warranty and confirm whether parts, labor, travel, cosmetic damage or other costs are included. Do not assume that every problem occurring during the first year automatically qualifies for a refund or replacement. Whirlpool’s online repair portal can be used to schedule appliance service. A local authorized or certified technician may perform the visit, so keep the technician’s company name, appointment date, diagnosis, promised part-delivery date and service-order number. Extended service plans are different from the original manufacturer’s warranty. Whirlpool states that its service plans are provided by Domestic & General, which is independent from Whirlpool Corporation. A retailer may also sell its own protection plan. When a claim is delayed, first determine whether Whirlpool, Domestic & General, the retailer or another administrator currently controls the claim.

Product safety and recalls

For a suspected safety defect, search the model and serial number on Whirlpool’s official product-recall page. Follow the instructions in the applicable recall notice rather than relying on a number posted in an advertisement, search result or public comment. U.S. consumers can also search the Consumer Product Safety Commission recall database or report a potentially unsafe consumer product through SaferProducts.gov. A public CSN review is not a substitute for reporting a fire, shock, gas, injury or other safety concern through an appropriate official channel.

Whirlpool.com Orders, Delivery, Returns and Cancellations

Whirlpool’s online return policy applies to products purchased directly from Whirlpool.com. For a direct major-appliance return, Whirlpool currently lists 1-866-808-9274 on its official return-policy page. Review the current conditions, deadlines and possible fees before arranging a return.
  • Track a direct order through the Whirlpool order-status page.
  • Review current rules on the official Whirlpool return-policy page.
  • Keep the order number, delivery date, photographs of damage and all delivery or installation paperwork.
  • Report visible delivery damage promptly and before continued use when practical.
If the appliance was purchased from Lowe’s, Home Depot, Best Buy, Costco, an independent dealer or another seller, contact that retailer about its return, refund, exchange and delivery policies. The retailer may control the sales transaction even when Whirlpool or an authorized network handles delivery or warranty service.

How to Escalate a Whirlpool Complaint

  1. Start with Whirlpool customer service and explain the requested resolution clearly.
  2. Record the date and time, representative’s name, case number, repair order and any promised follow-up date.
  3. If the issue remains unresolved, ask for a supervisor or the appropriate escalation team.
  4. Clarify whether Whirlpool, a retailer, Domestic & General, a delivery company or an independent service provider is responsible for the next step.
  5. Use Whirlpool’s official contact form or send a concise written complaint to Whirlpool Customer Service, PO Box #8, St. Joseph, MI 49085.
  6. For an unresolved billing dispute or product-safety concern, contact the appropriate payment provider or regulator only when the circumstances warrant it.
A useful written complaint should include the model, purchase date, retailer, case number, service history, supporting documents and the specific resolution requested. Do not post the appliance’s full serial number or private claim documents publicly.

Whirlpool Corporate Office Versus Customer Service

Whirlpool Corporation’s global headquarters is located at 2000 N. M-63, Benton Harbor, MI 49022-2692. Its corporate switchboard is 1-269-923-5000. This is a corporate-office number, not the first or best route for an ordinary repair, order, warranty or appliance-support question. Start with Whirlpool customer service so the company can create a case and route the issue to the correct product, order or repair team. Corporate information is available through the official Whirlpool Corporation contact page.

Whirlpool Reviews and Complaints

At the time of this update, CustomerServiceNumbers.com displays a rating of 1.0 out of 5 stars based on four visible Whirlpool reviews. The reviews are dated from April 12, 2016, through October 15, 2018, so they should be treated as historical individual experiences rather than a current companywide measure. The visible reviews describe difficulty reaching support, failed washers, refrigerators or freezers, delayed repairs or replacement parts, food loss and confusion involving warranties or service providers. One refrigerator review focuses substantially on Lowe’s, a third-party technician and an extended warranty rather than solely on Whirlpool. No CSN response is visible beneath the four reviews. Reviews can help other readers understand a particular experience, but they do not prove that every customer will receive the same result. Include dates, the appliance type and the steps taken when sharing an experience, while leaving out private account and identifying information.

Avoid Fake Whirlpool Support Numbers and Protect Your Information

  • Verify telephone numbers through Whirlpool’s official website before sharing appliance, account or payment information.
  • Be cautious with sponsored search results, lookalike websites and callers claiming an immediate payment is required.
  • Do not call a number posted by an unverified commenter.
  • Do not provide a password, one-time verification code, full payment-card number or remote access to an unsolicited caller.
  • Do not publish an order number, full appliance serial number, complete address, private service document or employee’s personal contact information in a review.
  • If payment fraud is suspected, contact the card issuer using the number printed on the card or shown in the issuer’s official app.

I have decided not to purchase Whirlpool products in the future.

October 15, 2018

I purchased a Whirlpool washer model WTW4800BQ1 a little over a year ago. During Hurricane Michael, the power went out and I am having trouble getting it to power back up. Despite my attempts to reset it by following online videos, the washer remains unresponsive. Unfortunately, I have been unable to reach Whirlpool technical support for assistance. I am frustrated and disappointed that I cannot receive any kind of phone support to help resolve this issue. As a result, I have decided not to purchase Whirlpool products in the future.

Whirlpool fridge

April 12, 2016

Bought a 1600.00 Whirlpool fridge last spring. In December it quit cooling. A tech guy came and blow dried the ice off and ordered a part. Here it is April, my fridge is warm again and no one can answer where the part is. I can’t find the tech guy, Lowes can’t find the tech guy…all Lowes does is calls me back and says someone will call me back in 1-5 days. In the meantime I have a fridge full of warm food. Lowes said we have no service guys in our area….so what good is an extended warranty? They offered to buy my fridge back, but I have to complete the paperwork and in the meantime have no fridge!! This is exactly why we should support our local small town appliance dealers maybe they will care. Lowes doesn’t care about customers or they would be in my driveway with a new fridge. Instead I will sit here with my warm food and wait for them to call me back…in 1-5 days. Thanks Lowes!!
