ZeroWater customer service can help with pitchers, dispensers, replacement filters, TDS meters, online orders, filter subscriptions, returns and warranty claims. Before contacting support, identify whether you have a legacy ZeroWater product, a newer Culligan with ZeroWater Technology product or an item purchased from a separate retailer because filter compatibility, order support and return procedures can differ.
ZeroWater Customer Service Phone Number and Contact Information
The Culligan headquarters number is not the best first route for a ZeroWater order, filter problem, TDS meter, subscription, return or warranty claim. Start with
1-800-503-2939 or the support route connected with the website or retailer that sold the product.
ZeroWater and Culligan Product Support
ZeroWater now operates as Culligan ZeroWater, a distinct water-filtration brand under the Culligan umbrella. Customers may encounter three different product and support situations:
- Legacy ZeroWater product: A traditional pitcher or dispenser using a filter that twists into the bottom of the reservoir.
- New Culligan with ZeroWater Technology product: A redesigned product using a newer top-down filter.
- Retailer purchase: A ZeroWater or Culligan product purchased through Amazon, Walmart, Target, Home Depot or another seller.
The redesigned Culligan with ZeroWater Technology filter does not fit older legacy ZeroWater pitchers and dispensers. Check the model and filter-compatibility information before opening or ordering replacement filters.
Best ZeroWater Support Route by Issue
- Legacy ZeroWater pitcher or filter: Call 1-800-503-2939 or email customerservice@zerowater.com.
- New Culligan online-store order: Use the Culligan order account or email help@culligan.com.
- Retailer return: Contact the store or marketplace that processed the purchase.
- Manufacturing defect: Contact ZeroWater before mailing the product and keep the dated receipt.
- Short filter life: Record the starting and ending TDS readings, water usage and purchase date.
- Water will not pass through the filter: Check for an air pocket and follow the troubleshooting steps below.
- TDS meter problem: Replace the batteries, reset the battery compartment and test both filtered and unfiltered water.
- Fishy or acidic taste: Stop using the exhausted filter and replace it.
- Leaking spigot or pitcher: Photograph the leak and contact customer service.
- Subscription change or cancellation: Sign in and manage the active filter subscription before the next order processes.
- Unsafe source water or water advisory: Follow the water utility or health department’s instructions rather than relying only on a pitcher filter.

ZeroWater Online Order and Shipping Help
Identify which storefront processed the order before requesting tracking or cancellation.
The ZeroWater.com shipping policy states that:
- Orders are shipped only within the continental United States.
- Orders are not currently shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories or international addresses.
- Orders placed before noon CT on a business day may ship the same day.
- The stated maximum processing time is 24 hours.
- Orders ship from Dallas, Texas.
- The average delivery time after shipment is approximately three business days.
The newer Culligan shop publishes a different estimate of one to two business days for processing followed by approximately three to five business days for delivery. Follow the confirmation and tracking details for the specific store that processed the order.
Change or Cancel a ZeroWater Order
Contact support as soon as possible when an order contains the wrong item, quantity, address or payment method.
Culligan says there is only a short period in which an online order can be changed or cancelled. Once the order reaches the fulfillment center, a change or cancellation may no longer be possible.
- Locate the order confirmation.
- Identify whether ZeroWater.com or Shop.Culligan.com processed the order.
- Call 1-800-503-2939.
- Email the support address shown on the order confirmation.
- State the exact change or cancellation requested.
- Save the written response.
Do not assume that sending an email guarantees cancellation. Obtain confirmation before placing a replacement order.
ZeroWater Returns, Exchanges and Refunds
The current Culligan online store says return, exchange and refund requests are reviewed individually. It does not publish one universal satisfaction-return window.
Before returning a product:
- Contact the seller that processed the purchase.
- Provide the order number and dated receipt.
- Explain whether the problem involves damage, incompatibility, performance or a change of mind.
- Request return authorization and shipping instructions.
- Ask whether return shipping or a restocking deduction applies.
- Do not mail the product until the return address is confirmed.
- Save the shipment tracking number.
If the product was purchased from a retailer, that retailer’s ordinary return policy may apply. A separate manufacturer warranty may apply to a qualifying defect.
ZeroWater Pitcher, Dispenser and TDS Meter Warranty
Zero Technologies provides a 90-day limited warranty against manufacturing defects for eligible:
- Pitchers
- Dispensers
- Bottle filtration systems
- Travel bottles
- TDS meters
The product must have been used in accordance with its owner’s manual. The filter cartridge is excluded from this 90-day product warranty.
To file a claim:
- Locate the dated proof of purchase.
- Photograph the defective part.
- Call 1-800-503-2939.
- Complete the requested troubleshooting.
- Follow the return or replacement instructions provided by support.
ZeroWater Filter Cartridge Warranty
Zero Technologies provides a 30-day limited warranty against manufacturing defects in eligible filter cartridges.
The filter warranty:
- Requires dated proof of purchase
- Requires troubleshooting with customer service
- May require the filter to be returned for laboratory testing
- May exclude return or replacement shipping costs
- Does not guarantee a specific filter lifespan or number of gallons
If laboratory testing does not identify a manufacturing defect, the filter may be returned without a free replacement.
Why ZeroWater Filter Life Varies
Filter lifespan depends heavily on the chemistry and TDS level of the source water, along with household water usage.
A filter may be exhausted more quickly when the water has:
- High TDS
- High mineral content
- Chloramines
- Changes in seasonal water treatment
- Well-water chemistry
- Heavy daily use
The warranty does not promise that every filter will last the same number of days or gallons.
When to Replace a ZeroWater Filter
ZeroWater recommends periodically testing filtered water and replacing the standard 5-stage filter when the TDS meter reads
006 or higher.
Replace the filter promptly when:
- The filtered-water reading reaches 006 or higher
- The water develops an acidic or fishy taste
- An unusual odor develops
- The filter has reached the end-of-life range for the source water
- Customer service confirms that replacement is necessary
Continuing to use an exhausted filter can affect taste and pH. Do not attempt to extend filter life solely to avoid replacement cost.
Fishy, Sour or Acidic-Tasting Filtered Water
ZeroWater says acidic or fishy-tasting filtered water normally indicates that the filter is exhausted.
- Stop drinking the affected filtered water.
- Test it with the TDS meter.
- Remove and replace the exhausted filter.
- Wash the pitcher or dispenser with mild soap and warm water.
- Rinse and dry it thoroughly.
- Test the water from the new filter.
Contact customer service if the taste remains after installing a compatible new filter and cleaning the device.
Water Will Not Pass Through the ZeroWater Filter
An air bubble or air pocket can interrupt flow through a new or existing filter.
ZeroWater recommends:
- Leave water in the upper reservoir.
- Carefully lift the reservoir.
- Grip the filter body around its middle.
- Gently squeeze the filter four or five times while water is filtering.
- Return the reservoir to its normal position.
- Check whether normal flow resumes.
Do not puncture, open, strike or attempt to repair the sealed filter cartridge.
Slow ZeroWater Filtration
The 5-stage filtration process may operate more slowly than a basic carbon pitcher filter. ZeroWater publishes an approximate flow rate of 6.5 ounces per minute for its standard 5-stage system.
If filtration becomes abnormally slow:
- Check for an air pocket.
- Confirm the filter is installed correctly.
- Check for cross-threading on a legacy filter.
- Confirm the gasket is seated properly.
- Check whether the filter is exhausted.
- Verify that the correct filter model is being used.
ZeroWater TDS Meter Troubleshooting
The TDS meter measures total dissolved solids in parts per million. It does not directly test for lead, PFAS, bacteria, viruses or every chemical contaminant.
If the meter does not work:
- Remove the protective cap.
- Turn on the meter and confirm that the display shows 000 before testing.
- Allow a refrigerated meter to return to room temperature.
- Remove and reinsert the battery compartment to reset it.
- Replace both batteries with LR44 button-cell batteries if necessary.
- Test unfiltered tap water to confirm that the reading changes.
- Contact 1-800-503-2939 if the problem continues.
Do not mix old and new batteries or combine different battery types.
TDS Meter Will Not Stay in the Pitcher
Meter storage and placement depend on the pitcher model.
- Some legacy pitchers provide a meter holder or clip.
- Ready-Read models use a removable meter that sits in a dock above the spigot.
- Newer Culligan pitchers may use redesigned storage locations.
Confirm that the meter matches the pitcher model and review the product manual. Do not force the meter into a slot or holder that does not fit.
Leaking ZeroWater Pitcher or Spigot
For a leaking pitcher or dispenser:
- Empty the device.
- Check the spigot and gasket placement.
- Confirm that the spigot is fully seated.
- Inspect the pitcher for a crack.
- Photograph the leak and product label.
- Contact customer service at 1-800-503-2939.
Do not apply glue, sealant or an improvised repair to a food-contact surface unless the manufacturer specifically approves it.
Legacy and New ZeroWater Filter Compatibility
The newer Culligan with ZeroWater Technology filters use a redesigned top-down installation and do not fit older ZeroWater pitchers that use twist-in filters.
Before ordering:
- Identify the pitcher or dispenser model.
- Photograph the existing filter connection.
- Compare the product with the official compatibility guide.
- Do not open a multipack until compatibility is confirmed.
Contact support before purchasing when the product model is unclear.
ZeroWater Filter Subscription Support
ZeroWater’s Subscribe & Save program sends replacement filters on the schedule selected by the customer and stores the payment method for recurring deliveries.
Subscribers can generally:
- Change the next shipping date
- Change the delivery frequency
- Update the shipping address
- Skip an upcoming order
- Cancel the active subscription
How to Cancel a ZeroWater Subscription
- Sign in to the ZeroWater account.
- Open Order History.
- Select Manage Subscription & Address.
- Open the Subscriptions tab.
- Select the active subscription.
- Choose Cancel Subscription.
- Confirm the cancellation in the pop-up message.
- Save the confirmation email or screenshot.
Cancel before the next order begins processing. Cancelling a subscription may not cancel an order that has already entered fulfillment.
Skip or Change an Upcoming Filter Shipment
ZeroWater says subscribers normally receive a reminder email three days before an order is processed.
To skip an order:
- Open Manage Subscription & Address.
- Open the Subscriptions tab.
- Select the active subscription.
- Choose Skip This Order.
- Confirm the request.
Review the next-order date after making the change.
ZeroWater Purchases From Amazon, Walmart or Another Retailer
A retailer purchase may involve two separate support routes:
- Ordinary return, wrong item or shipping problem: Contact the retailer that processed the sale.
- Manufacturing-defect warranty: Contact ZeroWater and provide the retailer receipt.
Marketplace purchases may also involve an independent third-party seller. Confirm who sold and shipped the product before submitting a return or payment dispute.
ZeroWater Certifications and TDS Limitations
The standard Culligan ZeroWater 5-stage filter and compatible pitchers have product-specific certifications for reducing certain contaminants. Certification and capacity depend on the exact system and filter.
ZeroWater’s standard performance information includes certification for reduction of:
- Chlorine taste and odor
- Lead
- Hexavalent chromium
- PFOA and PFOS
- Mercury
The newer Culligan with ZeroWater Technology line has different certifications and may cover additional contaminants. Review the performance data sheet for the exact product rather than assuming that every ZeroWater filter has identical certification.
A 000 TDS Reading Does Not Test Every Contaminant
A TDS meter measures electrically charged dissolved material. It does not identify which substances are present and cannot directly confirm that water is free of:
- Lead
- PFAS
- Bacteria
- Viruses
- Cryptosporidium
- Every pesticide or organic chemical
- Undissolved particles
A low or 000 TDS reading is not a complete laboratory water-quality test.
Boil-Water Advisories and Unsafe Source Water
ZeroWater’s standard 5-stage system is intended for municipally treated potable water. It is not designed to remove microbiological contamination.
During a boil-water advisory:
- Follow the water utility or public-health instructions.
- Use commercially bottled water when advised.
- Boil tap water even if it has passed through a ZeroWater pitcher.
- Do not assume that a 000 TDS reading means the water is free of germs.
- Replace or sanitize filters as directed after the advisory.
Using ZeroWater With Private Well Water
ZeroWater says its standard filter can be used with well water only after the well has been approved as safe for drinking.
Private well owners should arrange appropriate testing for:
- Bacteria
- Nitrates
- Arsenic
- Lead
- Local groundwater contaminants
- Other substances recommended by the health department
A TDS reading does not replace microbiological or chemical testing of private well water.
Recycle Used ZeroWater Filters
ZeroWater operates a mail-in recycling program for used 5-stage filters.
The current program requires customers to:
- Download and complete the recycling form.
- Include the form with the used filters.
- Pay the shipping cost.
- Mail the package to the published recycling address.
- Allow approximately four to six weeks for processing.
The current recycling address is:
ZeroWater Filter Recycling
c/o Delta Warehouse
310 W. Paisano
El Paso, TX 79901
The company says it does not provide prepaid recycling labels. After processing, eligible participants may receive a coupon for a qualifying replacement-filter multipack.

ZeroWater Customer Service Reviews and Complaints
CustomerServiceNumbers.com currently shows two visible ZeroWater reviews with an overall rating of 2.5 out of 5. Both reviews were submitted in 2018.
One reviewer asks how to remove bubbles from a filter so water can flow properly. The other reports that a TDS meter will not remain in place on top of the pitcher.
These two older troubleshooting questions do not establish current companywide customer-service or product-quality trends. New reviews can help readers understand present experiences involving filter life, orders, subscriptions, returns, warranty claims, compatibility, TDS meters and support response times.
