  1. My wife booked a flight from Toronto to Moncton and Halifax back to Toronto for me. When booking the flight they put the wrong name on the ticket. They put my wife’s first name and my middle name and our last name probably because my wife used her credit card to book the flight. When I tried to take my flight Air Canada would not let me board the flight I paid for as the wrong name was on it. Expedia quickly blamed my wife and denied all responsibility. Air Canada did the same thing. So because I could not take the flight I paid for I ended up having to pay double to take the flight the next day because of the business appointments I had lined up ALL BECAUSE OF THE MISTAKE THEY MADE. Their staff and supervisors are trained very well to deflect the blame to the customer and not take responsibility to save the company money. If they ever make a mistake that causes you to miss your flight do not expect them to help you at all. I was literally on the phone longer with them than my flight!

  3. This evening (7/31/18) I was booking a flight from Carson city NV. to Minot , N.Dak. Leaving 8/22/18. Returning

    Sept 3, 2018.

    After submitting the credit card info. My computer went blank. Lost every thing. The credit card total was 425.60. Since we lost every thing. Please cancel this transaction. We will try again after we hear from you!

  4. I recently booked my travel through Expedia. Booked both the flight and car rental together. The amount came to $665.00 Upon returning the Alamo rental car to the Knoxville location I received a statement from Alamo in the amount of $112.00 for the rental. I also purchased gas for the vehicle. Flying on Allegiant could not possibly cost $665.00 when you go on their website and there are flights to Knoxville for $45.00. I have to assume that the flight and car rental equal $665.00. Please respond and advise what the charges are. Thank you

  5. “The last two times I have used Expedia (last fall and just now), I worked on-line choosing my flights and then filling out the necessary information ON LINE. When all was finished, it disappeared. I made TWO phone calls, the second one in the Philippines, because I was on hold for so long the first time, without any prompts or music that I was convinced my call had been dropped. I fortunately had made notes of my flights and price but it still took forever but I was ready to commit and I did. (When I checked the British Airways website, it was not good and I could not see venturing further booking directly since I had reached my frustration limit.

    Also, although we had been members for years, I was asked each of the last two times to become a member and I still could not use any points, they did not exist, towards this flight. What a bear!!!!”

  8. Worst experience ever. They charges my account over 3000 dollars and claimed the charges did not go through when my bank clearly stated they did. I was on the phone for over three hours and got absolutely no answers from anyone. These people are thieves and don’t know what they are doing

  9. As most reviewers have stated, Expedia is the WORST on line travel site I have ever used. I will never used again. Tried to re-book a flight. Was not able to speak with a live person over a course of several days. Once I did have someone on line the person did not speak English well enough to transcribe my email address.

  10. NEVER NEVER NEVER Again will I use Expedia!!! AND I was a GOOD Customer. THEY ROYALLY screwed up. I was with a dense customer service rep for 50 minutes trying to use a credit from Virgin to a new flight. She couldn’t locate it even with all of my confirmation numbers and documents. Then finally after having to repeat over and over again she repeats back to me the correct flight info. She books it. When I get the email confirmation it is for a flight with American with completely different states!!! I am furious. Why are they so dumb? But wait it gets worse. I call back to fix it and wait 30 minutes. I ask for a supervisor and wait another 10 minutes. When he transfers me the phone hangs up!!! YOU GOT TO BE KDDING ME? IS this really happening to me? Why would anyone use Expedia??? The worst company ever!!

  12. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT TROUBLE AND ON THE PHONE FOR 3HOURS. THEY HANG UP ON YOU AS WELL, TRY CALLING BACK SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS DISCONNECTED SEVERAL TIMES.THEY DONT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH AND I REPEAT WHERE I WAS GOING AND THEN SHE REPEATED THEY RESERVATION AFTER 45MIN. AND SHE HAD IT ALL WRONG, I FINALLY YELLED AT HER AND TOLD HER TO GET ME A SUPERVISOR NOW, SHE HUNG UP THE PHONE AND I HAD TO START OVER WITH SOMEONE ELSE WHO PUT ME ON HOLD FOR NEARLY 35MIN. NOW DELTA HAS NO RESERVATION FOR ME, AND I HAVE ALL THESE EMAILS WITH DIFFERENT PLACES THAT I AM NOT GOING TO, OH I TELL YA THEY ARE MAKING ME SICK AND I CANT HANDLE THIS ANYMORE. GOOD LUCK

  13. Have been waiting on hold for over an hour and half to cancel a flight. Exepdia never sent a confirmation for the airline so I cant go that route. Meanwhille I have been listening to inane distorted hold music getting more and more pissed off.

  14. EXPEDIA is a FRAUDULENT company which has a call center in the Philippines where most of the employees have very poor English language skills and their customer service training is less than substandard!!!

    I made reservations for a Florida resort at Amelia Island for my family, and requested a 2 bedroom suite for which I paid in full, over $ 1500 per night for 3 nights. Well, once I received the email confirmation, it turned out Expedia only reserved a small single bed room not enough for 4 family members! After calling the same inept customer service call center in the Philippines, I asked to speak to a supervisor since this was a major problem. A so called supervisor came on the line and told me they would rebook my reservation at an EXTRA CHARGE!! I told them no way is the even acceptable, since Expedia already has been paid in ADVANCE AND IN FULL for a 2 bedroom suite, not a single bed room at the resort!!!

    The ” supervisor ” then said, OK we shall rebook your reservation in another resort since the one you requested is now FULL!! ARE U KIDDING ME?? I was so fed up with their unprofessional and FRAUDULENT dealings, that I finally asked them for a full refund which they painstakingly gave back after I said I would contact the Attorney Gen’s office in Seattle!

    EXPEDIA IS A FRAUD AND CHEAT COMPANY – BEWARE AND PLEASE DON’T USE THEM FOR ANYTHING!! : ((((

  15. I live internationally in china I tried to contact expedia by phone to cancel my registration; I called every number they had and none of them worked. They are very hard to contact. Very poor customer service!!!!!!

  16. In all fairness, standard check in time at hotels is 3:oo PM. If anything you should be happy you got your room 2 hours early, not 5 hours late.

  17. Wow – should have read reviews first. Due to my error, the reservation name was spelled wrong. I called Expedia to correct, and it was to be done within 24 hours. I was to be informed; it did not happen. I called again, said that it was done and sent to airlines. I had just checked the airlines and expedia – neither had made the promised change. It is the reassurances that all is well when it isn’t that is more upsetting.
