7/12/2010 I bought 2006 sequoia late last year, but recently found some recalls on it. If the parts are bad and have exceeded limitation statue on fixing them, do I have to pay for it myself then? One of the recalls consists of front end making noise, which my car does. nesa

6/23/2010 I own a 2008 Toyota Avalon Limited that I bought new. I was driving on a very dark road about two weeks ago and decided to turn on my high beams. To my surprise, they didn't work. If it was just one light not coming on, I would have thought that the bulb had just blown out, but it was both lights. I took the car to Toyota, and they put it on the machine to see what was wrong. After checking the car, I was giving a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) that said.....On some 2008-2010 Avalon vehicles, the High Beam/DRL bulb may become inoperative or shatter. A newly designed High Beam/DRL housing assembly (including the applicable bulb) is available in the event this condition has occured. This is a problem that Toyota aknowledges but refuses to fix. It is covered under 36 month/36,000 mile warranty. Pass that, you're screwed. The total amount to fix this problem is close to $27,000. I am upset because Toyota knows that some cars have this faulty lighting assembly, but if it doesn't clunk out before 36,000 miles, they won't fix it. If you have had or is having this problem, please post your comment. If enough of us complain about this problem, maybe this TSB will turn into a recall....something it should be anyway.

6/18/2010 Asked Toyota of Melborne Florida about the 2011 Avalon coming with bench seats, his reply was no then I read a consumers artical that said yes. If you live in a city and park next to the curb it is a hazzard to exit on the traffic side, bench seats allow the driver to move to the pax side and exit on the side walk. We have a 2001 Avalon and we were talked out of the bench seats but not again if we have to we will go to Ford.

6/2/2010 Have a 2008 less then 29,000 miles Toyota Tundra Crew Max. Notice rust spots in the bed of truck position same spots each side of the bed. Took it in to dealership, a rep from Toyota was there, told the collision center supervisor to clean it up and repaint. Turns out that the supervisor examine the truck more closely. He informed me that the whole bed needs replaced, it has rust spots everywhere but Toyota said clean the rust spots up and repaint. The supervisor said I will be back in 6 months or less this will not fix my problem. How can Toyota denied this claim when we have the Collision Center at a Toyota Dealership stating that the only way to fix this is to replace the bed. I'm very disappointed in Toyota, I will never own another one.

5/21/2010 i purchased toyota camry model 2009 in last may 2009. the very first minute after receiving the car, i realized that the car is not all okay which was reported to the agent of toyoya in saudi arabia (abdul latif jameel) and since than it has been to their workshop or service centre several times. last time just a week ago, axcel was replaced, oil leaking fixed, a/c repaired. this all happened in less than a year of purchase. toyoya and abdul latif jameel company, i think has sold a defective with manufacturing defect car to me and all this deliberately. its hard to believe that such big companies can hand over the car without prior checking. they just got rid of this defective car. i would suggest all my friends to think 2000 times before purchasing specially camry. 5/12/2010 I own an 2008 Toyota Camry SE with sun roof. I bought this car new on Dec. 21, 2007. My car is not quite 3 years old. I am having problem with a strange noise, sounds like it's coming from the rear. I took it to be check and they told me that this noise is coming from the Moon Roof hitting against roof panel underneath head liner. I find that it could be true or not, but I don't think this should be happening and I only had my car not quite 3 years. If it's this, that seems like a defect. I have 43,603 miles on my car and don't even use the moon roof. What can be done. I am totally upset about this. I should not have to paid for this. I just think you should do something about this. How is it that the noise just started. I have hit nothing and haven't had a wreck or anything. I have taken good care of my car and now (this). I have enjoyed my camry but this is a dissapointment to me. I know you stand behind your product, so what help can you give me concerning this problem?

5/10/2010 My 1997 Toyota 4 Runner keeps draining the battery in the VIR RS3000 Remote Control for the alarm system. I just replaced the battery (2025) two days ago in the remote and it is already dead. Any suggestions on how to correct this problem?? Dan Keller

4/29/2010 Have a 2000 Cambry V-6 with 60,000 mi. The starter went bad so took it to Toyota of Marin. Also had them do the 60k check-up. Got the car back and within a day it began to shift itself into reverse whenever forward speed decreased to about 5 mph. Checked all fuses and noticed that the licenses plate light wasn't getting electricity, checked its wires and noticed that three wires going into the truck lid were cut. I Spliced the three wires and the light began working and the spontaneous shifting into reverse stopped. The Check Engine light was still on though, the fault code indicating the EGR flow was excessive and some Manufacture/Instruction fault. This fault is keeping me from passing the smog check and hence getting the car registered in California. With some research I've learned that these fault codes, no matter how much reapir and new parts you pay for, will eventually come back once they start. Toyota quality is a big fraud and virtually all its dealers are web RATED as "pirates". The electronics is garbage compared to German cars. If you think spontaneous acceleration is bad wait 'til the car starts shifting into reverse by itself.

4/20/2010 As a purchaser of a Camry 2010 recall vehichle, I am very dissatisfied with continuing visits to the dealership (Brunswick Auto Mart, Brunswick Ohio). The pedal still feels the same. The vehichle has an automatic transmission, yet when on an incline, it rolls back if my foot is not TOTALLY engaged on the brake peddle. As each day goes by with this vehicle in my possession I feel more unsafe in it. ( I nearly hit three vehicles in back of me because of the last mentioned situation. Another item that concerns me is the cheap appearing interior of this vehicle compared to the quality of leather we all knew in previous years in Camrys. My 1997 Toyota was stunning inside when traded in on this automobile. Beware!!!! The grade of leather in these 2010 vehicles looks like cheap, imitation plastic. In fact the appearance and feel is not even that of leather. Lastly, when purchasing this vehicle it already had 300 miles on it. My first vehicle had "0" milage recorded on it. Beware of what you are purchasing with any vehicles today. Mr. Toyoda will you replace this vehicle for me with beauty and supreme reliability I had with my 1997 Camry with 180,000 miles on it when I FOOLISHLY traded it in for this.
